Hi all
I have a QTek 2020i (Alpine) and recently when sending an email, I get an icon appear on the top navigation bar of the Taday screen (icon looks like an envelope).
when I tap teh icon I get a box up saying Message Sent...but i can't seem to get rid of the icon?
this is anoying as when I want to check if I've had any mail I now have to open up the messages app rather than simply looking at the screen.
Any ideas if this is a known issue with a known fix?
I haven't updated any of the ROM's or Radio stuff but please don't suggest this unless you know that this is a known fix - I don't really want to start messing around with the unit unless I have to as I haven't had any other problems with it.
Cheers

if you use pocket plus or some other program which really close applications insted of the std WM way where applications are just minimized then you
need to
1 change the program so it dont do it when it comes to outlook
2 wait unless the icon is gon before you close outlook
Seems to have worked...I'll keep an eye on it over the next week or so.
Thanks for the help Rudegar.
Cheers

Hello,
Just wondering if there is a .cab file or a reg hack means of making text messages close automatically after replying to them.
I have Windows Mobile 6.1 on my device and it is slightly annoying having to press the ok button at the top right after replying just to get back to the inbox.
Is there any means to get around this?
Thanks in advanced.
I to would like this if it's out there
Right now I`m running a wm 6.5 rom (Phantom Rom`s 4-17 build I think), and I love it. Except that its using the manilla dialer. It has the new 6.5 dialer built in though with manilla running on top. I found out because when the phone is locked with the new 6.5 lock incoming calls use the new 6.5 answer ingnore sliders, and call screen.
Is there a way to unistall the manilla dialer, its cooked in there. I checked the registry to see if there was a quick enable disable in software/htc and software/windows and didn`t find anything.
install advanced config tool, and disable the phone s,in option under'phone' menu
Call History is unreadable

Click to collapse
I have made the setting, now i have default windows 6.5 dialer, but the call history list is displayed in white text ... as you can see from the image attached, the history is there (the progress bar on the right), but i cannot read it.
Any hints?
Regards,
Cosmin

had tried to install the advanced config tool but can't find the call history.
I used 6.5 rom diamond default rom
Apologies for restoring the old thread, but I was wondering if any of you managed to figure this out? I have the exact same problem with a WM6.1 ROM on a Blackstone (Touch HD) with white text for the call list (identical issue to the screen shown above).
Edit: After another hour or so of searching, I've found the solution on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=523084 - mainly post #7 gives a cab which fixes the problem
(this is for the Blackstone but might work on other devices...)
is there a way to disable windows default incoming call window.
when i use WM6.5 default lockscreen there is a clash between Window Default and HTC incoming call window.
this also causes a delay of 4sec before the phone starts ringing
HI,
I have used this tweak http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556614 to disable the HTC messaging and go back with WM messaging which I used to be and has no problem at all for SMS inbox opening lag. I use the latest V1.2 version.
It works pretty good the only problem is the tweak is programed to detect that I have read the SMS and after that the SMS count number with green buble shall gone. Unfortunatelly it not work on my HD2. So after I read the SMS or delete it in WM 6.5 messaging windows and go back to Home the SMS count indicators in icon bar still there. And the green light on top of phone keep flash indicate you have new message. Only after soft-reset it gong.
Is there any guy who has used it and found the same problem or it works for you perfect? Maybe it works for other phone but not HD2? Thanks for the help!

I have a ghost text which was a blank message sent by one of my friend's
kids. I cannot see the message, but know it's there as the '1 new message'
notification shows under HTC Sense & Pocket Shield; any ideas how can I
get rid of it?
Thanks,
Steve.
Diamond 2,
Sense 2.5,
WinMo 6.5.
(done a search on 'ghost text' & 'blank text' & 'blank message.')
Try this...............
Try the attached.....
Unzip it on your PC, copy the .EXE to your phone and run it on there - then do a soft reset.
Hope that helps
Mark.
Mark,
ran the fixunreadcount.exe, but the notification is still there. Thanks for your help, guess a hard reset is next tho.
Steve.
Weird thought just come into my mind.....
If you go into Messaging, there's an Inbox icon top left with a downward pointing arrow next to it; click that and it'll show a folder list for your email account(s) - if you have any set up - plus the SMS folder tree. You may see an unread message in Drafts or Sent Items or......check any of them that have an unread count next to them and read/delete any you find!!
As you say, a hard reset is the "cure all" for these sorts of situations, but it's a bit severe to have to do it to get rid of a pesky unread message!!!
Good luck finding it - hope you don't have to hard reset (or that I'm not too late and you already have!!).
Mark.
