I bought this app on my phone when I had 2.1 installed. I went to the new 2.2 Froyo and it is no longer available in the market.my friend still has 2.1 and he still shows it in the market. I checked on our USCC tab in the store because it has 2.2 and it still shows on their tab. Any ideas?

Can you get to it by going through the appbrain.com web page?
i was talking to a friend of mine and he said it almost looks as if the market is no longer picking up what version/handset we are running after we do the new froyo 2.2 flash. i saw a few other posts about people having apps missing too from the market.

The Desire is having the same issues.
Redbox came out with a corporate app that is free so I am thinking RedReserve went bye bye. Just used the new app and it works very nice. I was wondering why redbox didn't have there own app.
my father in law just got the droid incredible. I turned him on to swype......except it only works for a week, then it pops up saying the trial has expired. I don't want to keep logging into swype's website, having them send me a link through email, and keep installing this once a week. is there a way around this ? his phone isn't rooted or anything (he wouldn't let me).
he's willing to pay money for an official working version that doesn't expire.
and he's pissed that his wife's droid 2 comes with it factory installed.
thanks
Swype links and attactments are not allow in this forum as far as I know.. pm me and ill get you a working version that wont expire...

ok its sent. thanks in advance.
Look into the reason as to why it is expiring. It shouldn't be doing that. Did he register for the open beta?
yes he registered. I know he did because I did it for him
after a week or less, he goes to swype something and it beeps and says "your trial version has expired. please upgrade to the newest version"
and we have done that every friday or saturday for 3 weeks in a row now.

Might wanna run the installer again. I've been over on swype forums and the Incredible seems to have the most issues, also they just released an update a few days ago.
afewgrams: thanks for the tip, i already ran the installer with the newest update; waiting for it to expire
I've never had an issue. Try updating the installer. Swype was recently updated so that could be your issue.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA Premium App
I think you just happened to install swype a week before it expired, and they just released an updated version.
So basically, you have to update when there are updates, and you installed right before an update. There normally are not updates very often, you just installed right before one.
It happened to me, that particular beta version expired, and there was a new free beta version, installed, all good.
You have to uninstall swype and the swype installer to install the new one though.

Its considered warez, since it is (or at least was) a closed beta.

What I want to know is how you got him in to the beta so quickly? I signed up for it a couple of months ago and I'm still waiting to hear back from them.
edit: nevermind, I went to swypes site and told it to resend me the link and it did. Installing now!
Cheers!
Well. I'd really like to get swype running (Latest version) without expiring. Can someone help me?? Here or PM would be great thanks in advance!
I've gone through about 5 versions of Swype that people swore wouldn't expire, they always do at some point. I moved over to SlideIT Keyboard....Works just as well and will NEVER expire. PM for it.
I just checked my XOOM when I rolled into the house at 4:00 AM EST and have a new market. No more stupid App preview at the top and tabs on the side dedicated to Games, Medical, et al.
Just wondering if anyone else has gotten this yet?
Also it seems that the Featured App list has about 8 in it now and is no longer clickable.
Woot or nein.
Screen shot?
I haven't got this yet.

Do you have a phone? Do you think google is doing just xooms and tablets? Because I have a black and green moded market on my Epic (Froyo) and I don't want to lose it until there's an updated color mod ;-)

Just checked. Market doesn't have preview or paid apps what's going on.

Here is the cap. I pulled up the bar so you see it is real haha.
Do you still have paid app or do you get a error pop up?
Sent from my Xoom
I have the same thing. No paid apps on the initial screen but searching for them still works. Still no tablet section and no Books (cos I'm in the UK).
Going into Settings\Applications\Manage Applications and checking the version of the Market app, it says 1.0.17 which I *think* is a newer than the one I used to have.
EDIT: Oh crap wait! When I go to a paid app's details page I get an error message pop-up that says "Sorry, details page for the requested item could not be found". Paid apps were working for me before! I am unrooted (but unlocked bootloader) and now they have broken the Market!
Thanks for asking that, there see to be NO paid apps in this market right now unless you search for them. I will hunt around.

Paid apps broken
Sorry I edited my original post with this:
"Oh crap wait! When I go to a paid app's details page I get an error message pop-up that says "Sorry, details page for the requested item could not be found". Paid apps were working for me before! I am unrooted (but unlocked bootloader) and now they have broken the Market!"
Also paid apps I have bought: I can no longer view their details pages (and probably can't update them.)
Updates do come through. Just got a tweetcomb update and installed perfectly.

stevenege: You have "Featured tablet apps" and Books? Are you really in Germany? I ask because until now there was no "Featured tablet apps" or Books available outside US.
What version of Market do you have?
Are you using US VPN?
Im on 1.0.17
I didn't get the update.
Its working again. I can see paid apps.
I dont know why but my clock went back 1 hour. I corrected it and now its its working.
I have the new version too, works fine, thank god they removed the annoying slide down that takes half the screen. Im in UK, still no tablets section.
Macbots drool as I XOOM through the Galaxy to my hearts Desire.
I saw somebody mention that Zinio is included in the 3.1 update. Is this correct?
I had previously installed it with directions here, but it's a little funky. First, it gave me about eleven sample magazine issues. The size of the magazines on the library screen seems to be a little off and the app is otherwise quirky.
Everyone experiencing this, or was it because I had the other version installed? Any way to fix this?
Thanks!
As of today, Zinio is up on the market. Should be able to grab it on 3.0.
Yes, Zinio was part of the 3.1 update.

Cool, I'll just remove it and reinstall just to make sure everything is okay.
It keeps freezing on me when I try to open a Magazine for more info. Cant delete it as well since it came with 3.1. Going to try to install it from the app store as it keeps telling me to update it.
I kind of wish all of these free applications weren't pushed out to us. Especially since you can find most of these apps on the Market if you want them anyway. I have no use for Zinio and don't feel like rooting just to remove it. Though, compared to my DX, I definitely can't complain about bloatware. And, to be honest, most of the "bloat" added by ASUS has proved to be quite useful
Updated the version from market and it's works!
Free magazines.............hmmm....not bad!
Keep it up Asus...I love your bloat wares
First....free newspapers and now free magazines....hahaha....iPad 2 Killer!
Can anybody confirm that the preinstalled version includes the free magazine subscription offer detailed in Zinio's press release?
http://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...roid-market-for-tablet-devices-122859609.html
If not, might be worth trying to install the app first, then let it upgrade when Asus' update hits for the US market...
The free newspapers thing is a total waste of time for me -- seven free issues is next to nothing. A free two year subscription to one of 25 magazine (or is it all 25? The press release isn't clear) seems quite worthwhile though.

I installed the application from the market, and I have 23 magazines in my collection, apparently. I don't thinks it's a year subscription, but just the most recent edition of each magazine.

I installed from the Market, much better. The 3.1 update must not have liked me already having it installed.
HOWEVER, it will let me uninstall the new one (the good version) but not the old version.
Any way to remove this without flashing my device? It's not a big deal, just an icon under apps but I'd like to get rid of it.

And suddenly the lightbulb came on. Of course you're right, the way it was phrased just threw me off. It's one issue of each magazine listed. (Well, they've actually listed 25 magazines as included, and per your own experience there are only 23 available, but near enough the same thing.)
...which to me is a complete waste of time, and makes me again wish Asus would stop jamming this bloat down our throats. Like the newspapers, it is one more thing I'll never use, and one more icon obscuring the apps I actually do want to use. (Not to mention wasting space and resources on my tablet.)
Thus far the only thing I've found worthwhile among Asus' preinstalled apps is Splashtop Remote Desktop, and that can currently be bought standalone for just 99 cents.
I really wish Asus would give us a version without all the bloatware installed, and just let us buy our own apps. Saving a few cents on the one app I do use isn't worth it to me to have all the other junk I'll never touch on there too...
Probably because Zinio pays them per install or account created from one of their devices...
(I'm guessing.)

Yup, that's usually the case with this kind of bloat -- the manufacturer gets paid to put it all on there, in the hopes that it'll lead to you paying the software company to use the product that's stuck on your machine.
I doubt they're getting paid much to stick all the junk on, though, and I'd happily pay $10-15 to have it all taken back off.

Actually had Zinio on my iPad and enjoyed it. Wife had cheap o magazine and I had car and driver magazine quite cheap.
As for splashtop our version can be set to the ASIs resolution of 1280x800 whereas the market version only goes to 1024x768. So I don't consider any of it bloatware but rather good apps I would have purchased anyway.

Well, that kind of sucks. I don`t want to root just for that.
Keep getting error with preinstalled bloatware "zinio reader". I went to the market and DLd "zinio" which seems to be the same exact thing as zinio reader except a much larger app. The mags are free which is pretty cool but once they aren't free I'll be deleting that ish' stop the bloatware!!!

A week or two ago I was able to install it from the Play Store again (from my "earlier installed"-list).
I tried it a month ago and it didn't work, now I got it on my phone.
I'm not sure if it's legal, but I could upload the app here.
Please inform me or post here if it's not legal, since Adobe stopped development on this app.
Its in the play store, I downloaded it the other day.
