swaping an touch pro 2 into htc desire?

Hello everybody!
I got my touch pro 2 for 5 months now, but i am interested in the new htc desire.
I dont know, if its worth to sell my touch pro two and get the desire, since there maybe will be an perfect running android version for the tp2.
One of the main reasons, why i want to change, is , that i dont like windows mobile anymore.
Maybe thats because I had an iphone after my good old htc tytn, and i liked the appstore and all the easy apps.
I dont want to go back to the iphone, but i am searching for an alternativ.
And i think, i have found that in android.
What do you think i can get for an 5 month old, well looking, tp2 on ebay?
Do you recommend me to go for the desire?
Or is it worth waiting for windows mobile 7 or an perfect running android?

no one an idea ?

android is really taking off fast for the tp2 handset. theres already a stable build of an htc desite rom in the android blacstone forum. it still has its quirks but the progress is very fast. i suggest at least trying android out first on your tp2

There will never be a " perfect Android " running on the TPII. While ported versions of non native OS' can be made to run quite well, they will never run as fast or as trouble free as an OS running natively.
If Android is what you want then get one, but remember as soon as WP7s comes out , selling your TPII will be like selling your Pentium II PC.

$200-300 on ebay.
Do a search of completed listings and you'll get a better idea.

Which Android mobile? Switcching my X-10

Hello guys.
I was wondering which mobile i should select with android?
I'm planning to switch out my Xperia X-10, due to the lame software updates (only 1,6) When i bought it for 4 months ago, SE promissed a software update with 2.1 or 2.2 within 2-3 months. But still no sign of anything
I'm confused about selecting a HTC Desire, or a Samsung Galaxy S?
But i've read alot about many problems with the samsung mobile, so maybe the HTC is the best? HTC is very serious about software development, the Desire already got 2.2

I find it kind of odd, that in my homeland Taiwan, where the company HTC is; people there aren't exactly a huge fan of HTC products haha. Sorry off topic.

I Also think that the HTC would be the best choice.. seems like Samsung do have a lot of bugs in there phone.. but maybe it would be a good idea to wait, and see if SE are coming with that update before Christmas.. but will it then take about a half year before 2. 2 is released again?

The poor build of Galaxy, no flash and its home launcher is a let down for me

Don't Blame S.E for this, you Knew it had 1.6 on it. Hate when People expect the update to come that fast, It takes time for this to happen....

New phone which one?

Right guys, I need a new phone as my contract with my hero runs out next month. I have some criterion:
-Android or Winmo
-Camera 5mp+
-Processor 500mhz+
-Flash
-If android 2.1+
Any idea guys? I really like the look of the HD2 but I've never had Winmo before and don't know what to expect to be honest. I'm also looking into the dell streak along with the Samsung galaxy s.
So what do we think? Thanks for any feedback in advance

windows phone 7 is almost here and it cant be ported to the HD2, so its as good as dead, the desire HD is set for a release next month so id get that if i was you
maybe you should save your pennies, so you can buy a player like berbatov lol

The HTC Desire, Desire HD and Desire Z are the best phones to date.
If you like it big, get the Desire HD. If you want a keyboard, get the Desire Z. Otherwise get the Desire.

I just bought the HTC HD2 a few days ago. For what I am reading, it seems as though the Windows 6.5 is old and outdated. Do I need to upgrade to Android 2.3. If so is there a link that can help me upgrade my phone. PS this would be me first time trying to do this. Thanks

Yes, I assure you that you will like your hd2 much better once you switch it to android. Just search the forums here. That's what I did til I broke the screen on mine.

I'm scared of Android... I know what it can do and I love it but I've got WP7 on my HD2 and im having nightmares about the switch over. I've pre-ordered the sensation through Vodafone and deep down can't wait for it to arive but......... I just can't get my head around Android!
What to do?????? I'm scared!!!!!!! Should I have ordered a windows phone?

I love my HD2 with WM6.5. Of all the ways you could've modded the HD2 you chose WP7? That's like 10 steps back from even WM6.5. That's iPhone version 1 stuff right there.

Just (Like today) put Android 2.3.3 on the hd2 and I'm loving it..... HyperDroid-GBX-v12..... now I really can't wait for the sensation.
I've gotta say WP7 is just so easy to use but I have to agree Android is the way forward.
I want my Sensation NOW!!!!!

You will not regret it!, I have a HD2 as well, I have run Everything on it, ALWAYS go back to Android!

don't forget that places like xda are for those who want to take advantage of the open source code...most people with Android phones just turn them on, use them, and love them, without knowing that there can be hundreds and hundreds of questions on how-to's
a computard friend recently went form blackberry to android and learnt to use it within a couple of days
just remember to use the phone how it wants to be used, not to try to make it do things like you would in WP7

i have the hd7 and i can say wp7 is getting to feel like a routine life. its only so much you can do.i miss andriod mainly because of htc sense. i been having my eyes on the sensation it looks amazing. im not sure weather to get the sensation or the flyer i been dying for a tablet. can anyone make a suggestion wich one would be a better choice? and also will the sensation come with htc locations?

it would great to see htc locations on the flyer that would be epic gps on that big screen

So you have an HD2 with Sense (and previously WM6.5). With the Sensation you'll have Sense on Android. Trust me when I say you'll love it. Android is fantastic and with Sense on top it'll make your transition easy.
