I have PPC MDA III BLUE ANGEL... With Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition Version 4.21.1088, and i want to upgrade that OS into Windows Mobile 5 or maybe better... Is that possible ? And if it is i would appreciate help and tutorial how to do it...

I got an O2 XDA mini S with Windows Mobile 5.0 and I want to know whether I can upgarded the OS to Windows Mobile 6.1?

One more question, the author of this thread says the "Touchflo-Edition" is his favorit, can you tell my why? What are the differec between Professional- and Touchflo Edition?

Yes you can upgrade to WM6.1 on your XDA Mini S I just did it for first time last week used below ROM.

Before you do the ROM I recommend using Windows XP because VISTA doesn't have full support for ROM updates. Also use the below guide first.

What is the situation of your devoce ?
How is your CID and SIM ? Locked or unlocked ? Which IPL/SPL do you have ?
Please check all this before you flash something ?

That is a personnal choice only, no one will tell you take this or that
Hm, but there are no recomments for SNN Edition ...
Why don't you try both see which one you prefer, personnally I prefer SNN Edition, it's quick and looks really great and has all functions I need.
Once You have unlocked CID and followed all the steps on the other post you can flash from one ROM to the other. I have tried about three so far.

I have now Windows Mobile 2003 installed on it.
If you have an MDA Compact II (an HTC Charmer), it would already be running WinMo 5, unless you've flashed it with a newer ROM.
The original MDA Compact was an HTC Magician, and nothing short of a miracle will get anything newer than WinMo 2003 running on that, as although it looks the same, the device contains completely different hardware.

That's because there is no official Windows 6.x rom. You can build your own or download a cooked one you like

Im new to the whole pocket pc thing lol , i am looking to get rid of wm 5 off my device , looking to upgrade ti wn 6 or 6.5, I have read the guide on how to do it everything seemed to be going well until i downloaded a rom from another site and it bricked the phone lol, so i managed to re flash it with buttons . 1.05rom, Well im looking for some advice on where i could possibly get the correct and most recent rom that will not brick it , using xp computer with active sync,
device is startin up with,
ipl 1.01
spl 1.01.
gsm 1.12.10.0
os 1.5.4.2

try looking at the CR96 or the X2H threads for a good working version of both 6.1 and 6.5 OS. I have used both with no problems.
