Hey Guys.
Currently in my app im drawing an OvalShape() - but I wana make a gun kind of turret - so would be an ovalshape with a thin small rectangle attached from the middle to the outside of the OvalShape().
How do i do this in android - i.e combine an OvalShape() and RectShape() into my TurretShape() class!?
Thanks
Andy
Use pathshape. or shapedrawable.
Can you maybe example how i would do this??
This is the kind of shape I am trying to draw

Your referents is a screenshot who is makes by the user himself; there is no cab fore it because it's not a official work of Dinnik, but a own creation of the user!
And like one of the rules of Dinnik says;

Kurt-Willems is 100% correct, Dunnboy. I made this mod myself and have never posted the cab out of respect for Dinik's rules.
Please see also your other post on the same subject in my clocks thread for a fuller answer.
Btw... Before someone else points it out (in less friendly terms...), you should try to avoid asking the same question in more than one post. The moderators (and some other members) can get a bit grumpy with you if you do...
Hello my fellow tf700 users,
I find it really annoying to have to open the recent apps list to see what i have open. I have gestures set up that allow me to swipe from the bezels to switch bw apps, however, I am curious if anyone knows of a tweak/app that would simply list open apps as icons in the bottom bar to the left of the clock. kind of like the taskbar in windows (never thought id say that), yet I dont want them to be interactive or anything (simply grey icons like the storage/KB dock icons). I find opening the recent apps list to check what is open incedibly redundant as I already have gestures that allow me to quickly swipe to switch apps. This may seem trivial, however, this is my primary device, and workflow is very important to me for school. I am simply trying to limit the number of gestures I have to initiate to get **** done.
Best,
Lucius
Can someone on a desktop flag this thread for crossposting? It's in Q&A as well, and I have replied there already? Mental note: I could get to 2000 posts this way too, and way more easily than just keeping it neat.
EDIT: read the rules, paragraph 2.6 ad 5, I believe.

I am not trying to get 2000 posts, i really could care less about my post count, Im just trying to get a legit answer.
Going against forum rules -- whichare there for a reason -- is not going to tender you affection or motiviation from other users to actually help you out on questions like this. IF something like this acually existed, don't you think half the Android world would be using this? We can get a moderator to tell you to adhere to forum rules as well if you think I'm playing the "spare-time deputy".

[Maybe i post my topic in the wrong area, if so , please help to move to the right section]
I want to say something about the XDA, just two suggestions.
First , the image verification , i think it's necessary when post a reply or topic, but can you make the words more clearly ? Every time i post a reply, i have to taste a long time to distinguish them, what's more, after fill in these words, it prompts wrong ,
Second, canyou add a quick top button? Many threads Include a lot of content, when browsed to the bottom, it's inconvenient to back to the top.
Third, no third!! . I really like this forums, so i hope my suggestion can be considered . Thanks
i have the same feeling, the back top button should be always on the desktop
Please feel free to leave your suggestions in the existing thread located here:
[All XDA Members] Feedback/Recommendations for XDA
:good:
hi, I would need feedback and some advice on this topic, is there a need to change the way we enter data via our touch-screen?
the qwerty model keyboard, as functional as it is, doesn't prevent us from fully exploiting the flexibility that a touch screen offers?
Do you already know of any applications that are trying an innovative way?
something like this -> h__ps://78.media.tumblr.com/4b793885c31132b1db6a1bbcc517d0a4/tumblr_inline_n4t4ws6F821r0z1sd.gif
I have not found one so I made one, I developed a new app to enter data via touch input, i developed it for android system and allows you to completely customize the system with which to enter data; what does that mean?
means that every touch on the screen becomes a valid point for data entry and each of these various characters/actions/suggestions change positions and dimension based on different parameters, such as number of touches on the screen, screen size, screen orientation, screen definition, type of data to be entered, dictionary used.... too complicated? the app is currently in its final stage, and I am now developing a python library that allows you to create pkg of configurations;
What I would also ask you would support a crowdfunding campaign to complete this app and its supporting site?
crowdfunding campaign isn`t allowed on XDA

the fact is that there is no fundraising campaign, and there will not be until I have finished all the work, and it will take a long time; the post I created was not to raise funds but to get an answer on what I think a big limit that we still carry behind, I wanted to open a discussion about what alternative to qwerty users believe should exist; if I expressed myself badly deleted even the post, it is not a problem : )

I did not say you started a campaign, I just pointed to the rules that a further discussion won`t derail towards crowdfunding, that`s all.
You are more than welcome to discuss anything else related to development and also post links , screenshots or anything wich can help you.
I also can move this thread to the Android General discussion section if you want, off-topic is basically non-development related so , your choice, just let me know

I would like there to be an ultra-bright white theme. Here is an example: URL.

No forum link, while viewing a threadCurrently, there is no way to tell which forum a thread is in while viewing it.
It would be very helpful to know which device or topic the thread is about.
Many OP's do not mention this in the thread,
because it is assumed the reader will know which forum the thread is in.

At the top of the page, instead of "viewing Thread", the thread title should be displayed so readers know what thread they are on without having to scroll to top.
Posts in this threads don't have individual upvote buttons, should we make separate suggestions threads so people can up/downvote them, or continue posting and use likes as upvotes?
Page naviagtion at the top of a threadIn the app and on mobile browser in portrait mode, there is no page navigation on the top of a thread being viewed. Only at the bottom.
I would like to have it also at the top of a thread, like on PC and mobile browser in landscape mode.
Initially posted in wrong thread. One component pertains to previous request for navigation buttons up top.
For threads in the new ? (voting) category where the entire OP is shown at the top of every page
e.g. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mixplorer-q-a-and-faq-user-manual.3308582/
- collapse that post on all pages except first page.
- put page number and navigation buttons above it so the are in approximately the same place for all threads.
- exempt the first page of the thread from this because it's not needed and at present only serves to place page #s and navigation buttons below first post.
I realize that I could request re-categorization of the thread in question and I will do that but I found this disruptive enough to interacting with the thread that I wanted to report it before I moved on. Thanks.

What do you mean? There is indeed pagination navigation on the top and bottom of long threads.

This isn't possible. The OP is very intentionally placed at the top of each page in the case of using a Question or Suggestion thread-type. I'll talk to our app developers to see if there's anything we can do, but it's a core XenForo thing.

You can just make a new thread in https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/xda-app-bugs-and-requests.12203/ each with its own issue. Then voting will be enabled on that top post.

Thanks for the explanation. It's no problem moving the thread to another category if I'm permitted to do so (and I am working on that on another track). I understand why this is done but wonder if it's original conception may have been based on shorter individual original posts rather than what many threads including mine have which are several long opening posts. I'm not making a crusade of this of my own because I can move the thread but regarding member interaction with the forms in general, as presently implemented this may cause people to ignore and bypass the original posts faster and more frequently than they already do. As to following requests in posts and researching answers it's extraordinarily disruptive. That's my two cents, and now moving on to something that might actually be an issue as opposed to a design choice:
As to the page numbers being below the persistent first post, I'm wondering if this is part of the missing navigation and page number buttons reported by others which I've experienced in that context as well. Although it's understandable why an attempt is made to put the whole first post at the top of every page the missing navigation buttons and page numbers deprive people of both the knowledge about where they are in the thread and the ability to navigate around - as they do in the other reported cases.
Thanks again.
Ok, this is something we need to change. Pagination is super important and it should be top and bottom.

Indeed the intended use is for when there are shorter posts, not multiples from the OP. That's why we're not going to enable it in most other forums since OPs like the flexibility and control to make the layout how they want.

Sure, it's easy:
1- Just open a thread with the xda app, (the thread must contain several pages to be able to proceed with the next step) - > You will see the "new special layout" (I DON'T mean the thread preview):
2- Change page (use the Prev button for instance) - > you will see the standard web view layout:
