First of all, please excuse my ignorance/ lack of knowledge on the subject. Currently shopping for my first Android phone, and I live in South Korea. Of the custom roms that are developed for North American/ European markets, will they be compatible with a Korean carrier/ phone, or will the kernel be different and render these roms useless for me? my brother just sent meme some weeks ago a Samsung c8 SM-C7108 from China . I visited some countries and never had any issues .
I'm actually in Sierra Leone, West Africa for a 6 months mission ( food world program ) and my problem is that I can't find the cellular network for the 4g lte local provider I think my phone baseband or something is the problem but like I said I'm just new to android universe ... I tried to visit Samsung's site from China ( it's the only one mentioning this phone ) but we'll no English... what can I do ? thanks guys

Hi brother,
The C8 SM-C7108 is a very amazing chipset with all the recent technology run under high tech devices such as S8 or S9.
Your problem is easy to solve. Just download the firmware and flash with Odin and you are done.
The only problem is that when you launch it under Recovery option, you will get at the bottom of the screen in addition to the usual Samsung information, (.... (device or resource busy). The firmware is not yet published wisely and you will not find it on Sammobile or samsung-firmware websites but the Combination file can be found here https://addrom.com/combination-rom-samsung-galaxy-c8-sm-c7108/
You can search for it and if you don't find it, you can let me know as I have the Chinese version too.
