<REQ> Flickr uploader - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Has anybody made a flickr uploader for the HD2? I noticed that HTC in the camera option has a way to upload to Facebook. Is there a way to upload to Flickr?

Shozu used to work pretty well... haven't used it for ages though, so don't know if it supports HD2

resco Explorer 10 also works

and Resco Photo Manager ;D

uploading ok, but i really like to have my flickr-stuff everytime accessible on my hd2, and also like to see, the updates in my favourite groups and from the photographers i like.
the facebook ingetration in the htc album is incredible, and it´s a shame, that there is no possibility to get flickr working like that.
i hate facebook - but i love flickr, so sense on an android phone has been the better choice for me.

HTC should make FaceBook App

I deactivated my Facebook account because I didn't have time to use it and the microsoft facebook on my phone wasn't the best (why leave information up on a site that you don't have time to check/change?).
If HTC develops a Facebook app or a tab for the HD2 in the awesome way they do things, I probably will start facebook again.
I agree. I'm not hating or anything, but facebook has a much broader use than Twitter and it would be nice to be able to communicate people who actually matters to you rather than following some celeb or industry giant (be it Paris Hilton or Peter Chou).

if you check the topaz and rhodium threads you'll find htc have a facebook app just not like the twitter tab. its integrated into your contacts if you have a search you'll find out more. also if you go to x.faceboom.com you can access it via opera and it looks like the iphone version
I dont have either phone (TD2 or Pro2)... TF3D allows you just to check status of that particular contact... am I right so far??? also it will not allow you to comment etc.. on that status.
But what most of us will like is some something similar to the twitter tab, a complete status update of all your friends (most recent) and allows you to comment etc.. without the need to open an app or a browser... wishfull thinking maybe
HTC shouldn't be doing anything now except getting the WM6.5 rom for the Diamond 2 released.
yep. like i said though. best bet so far is the mobile site atm. the x.facebook.com is better than the m.facebook version.
ps it seems microsoft have updated the facebook app on marketplace. I check the version numbers of both and the new one is 1.1 but they both look the same to me

I just tried it in mini opera 4.2, and it's not recognizing the address. Is the domain still live?

I just was on it but I was using Opera Mobile.. give that a go
Consider fring. It has a facebook add-in (although I don't use it so can't recommend). I do like fring for voip and integrating social networking functions in one place, though. Try it, you might like it.

i don't know if anyone is in the same boat as i am.. but don't u guys think that the email in the hd2 is a junk.. we can't view the attachment and don't have the option to download like you'd have in the iphone.. the way the inbox is laid out is pretty messy.. i wish they made a safari mail for this phone.
does anyone know if there is an app to replace the current email app in the hd2.
i'm running the US version. manila version: 2.5.2012xxxxx

I don't know what you are using, but on my HD2, Pocket Outlook displays HTML just fine with picture (after telling it to display external pictures and allowing horizontal scroll) and I can download any attachment, just click on it and it will download in the background.
I agree, iPhone version of my Gmail is was sooo much better. Why can't it automactially d/l the HTML? Why do i have to click to 2 links for it to do it? Sometimes it still won't d/l it.
Hi,
It's my first post at the forum, maybe because my english is too bad. So, please forgive me if I'm not to clearly.
My question is: can I open and view directly the attachment in the browser, instead of save it on a folder? For example, can I click and open a .pdf file without saving and opening it with Adobe Reader?
I use to do it on my iPod Touch...
Thanks

Need to find out what apps this youtube video used on hd2

youtube.com/watch?v=4yDWXDk4GWM&feature=related&aia=true
this is the video someone posted on youtube.. the the apps on this phone is amazing. the interface looks completely different.
Does anyone know what these apps are? and if so could you list them, please?
As calendar app, I use "Thumbcal"
To get it small enough, in the Screen settings, I use cleartype off and size of letters "extra small".
Then I used for the lock screen "S2U".
As music player, I used "S2P".
"CorePlayer" for video
As photo app, I use "Resco Photo Manager"
"Resco Explorer" for ... explorer

(uploader) The ROM I use is that one of Arthemis 5.5 NLD
I use iPhoneToday as today plugin. There I use the Alpha blend on background, and following movement settings: 1; 12; 40; 70; 1.
For icons, I used them mostly from xda-developer forum
I use PhoneEx for phone, email, stuff and also put it into the today so I get the top bar.
To get the next upcomming calendar apointment, I use the standard calendar today plugin and click "only next appointment"

from the comments on that youtube vid lol
Typical...
Everytime I post a video on youtube I'll get 5-6 people asking me details by comment / PM... when they had the answer BOTH in the video opening/end titles AND the description. Everytime I just can't believe it.
Guess people are just too lazy to actually read... and prefer spending 10x longer to write a message.

google reader . Which is the best

I have tried so many google reader apps. But could not find one thats really good
In iphone i have newsrack - Very good one and has nice preview of images with each icon.
Feedsquare is one with similar fns but sync is terrible
Any suggestions.
I like greader. It reminds me of the mobile site, and is very easy to navigate.
Did you tried Newsrob?
I used to use Newsrob, but now I've switched to using the Reader mobile site - it's great. No good for you if you need offline reading of course, but it gets my vote
I think they all SUCK. I don't have a lot in my list, perhaps 12 sources, half of them news, other tech stuff. And syncing in every Greader app I've found takes forever, often either downloading some X number of total articles and skipping ALL the rest (wtf??) or downloading thousands of articles. Hello, X number of new articles?
So I just read in the default browser, it works great, but obviously it's not offline... Don't try it in Opera, it renders horribly.
Using the Greader site, works ok.
But since I'm using Feedly (Firefox extension) on my laptop I'm really looking forward to their Android app that should be released shortly.
NewsRob works for me.

Newsrob does not give a thumbnail in the list view.
This i find very useful.
See the attached image to see what i mean
Shortcut to the mobile page for me.
gReader is the best in my opinion, tried most everything.
I don't like gReader, it's too damn iPhony. This is Android, no clue why the dev follows Apple's GUI guidelines here lol
Anyway, my vote goes to FeedR, slick and fast. Although if I haven't purchased it, then I would just use the mobile site.
Looking forward to an official app from Google.
Yup, another vote for the mobile site here.
The big problem for me with the Android apps is that they only do the feeds and not the shares from friends (e.g. shares from Google Buzz).
have u all try feedR? i think it's the best from all google reader apps i've tried

Maybe because Android doesn't have a good GUI guideline? Have you noticed how inconsistent Android apps are?

There is a good ui guidline for Android. There is one also for icons, widgets, and what not. Check out the Android Dev site. It doesn't have to be very detailed and covers everything, but it sure preserves the Android style and atmosphere which is NOTHING like gReader.

Did you guys try the mobile site optimized for the iPhone?
http://www.google.com/reader/i/
I find it displays the feeds fast and big enough to comfortably read without zooming in.

Flipboard creates a personalized magazine out of everything being shared with you. Flip through your Facebook newsfeed, tweets from your Twitter timeline, photos from Instagram friends and much more.
Fill Flipboard with the things you like to read, from niche blogs to publications like Rolling Stone and Lonely Planet, and use Instapaper or Read It Later to save articles to read later. Flipboard creates a single place to enjoy, browse, comment on and share all the news, photos and updates that matter to you.
In addition to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, you can flip through your newsfeeds and timelines from Google Reader, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Flickr, 500px, Sina Weibo and Renren on Flipboard.
It was iOS only till now, now they launched it as Galaxy S3 exclusive, will be coming to other android fones soon.
Read the itunes page for more info & screenshots.
