You must have a swap partition for 2.0 roms.
You might also want to consider a rom from wesengarner or bonesy.

Restart holding camera button to go to bootloader and it shows your radio and SPL version. Not sure why you are asking about bluetooth and there is a Q&A section for a reason.
Wrong place to post this, but turn off the phone, boot it holding the power and camera button and it will tell you your radio. BT doesn't change as far as I know.
Latest BT? 2.0 is the only BT G1 will evr see.
If you have root then you have latest radio....
What is the latest radio?
It says:
DREA110 PVT 32B
HBOOT-0.95.000
CPLD-4
RADIO-2.22.19.26I
Sep 2 2008
Can i use every custom rom?

So yeah he should have new radio..
There is only one BT its 2.0 thats on G1...G1 is too old to have BT 2.1 or BT 3.0 which isnt out.
You cant install a rom with out the 26I radio.

The older roots gave you the older radio. So again, YOU ARE WRONG. Quit giving out FALSE information. Not everyone uses the newest radio to flash. Some methods do, not all. Meaning not everyone has it, and quit giving out flase information again.

Again, that has nothing to do with what rom he's using or anything else. Get your head out of your ass and take what I told you. NOT EVERYONE HAS THE LATEST RADIO. I rooted my phone when I first got it, guess what, that was close to a year ago, and I didn't update my radio til 2 months ago when I went danger spl. You cant use the rom without the radio...You should crawl back under your rock though.
If you read it said he has enom's rom which needs the 26I radio..The Haykuro SPL is only needed is your going to use roms like hero, eclair, blur, pulse b/c which are to big to fit on the G1, however the SPL makes the partition 90MB instead of 45MB. The spl is just the magic's with hex edits and other things by Haykuro. Donut roms dont need the special spl to use.

Fenixnr ... If you are so smart then what is the version of Bluetooth used in android's 1.0 or 1.1 software? these two version's used the old radio.
And no one is picking a fight with you ... sounds to me like your just trying to defend your response whether it's correct or not.

Ok great! i'm glad you confirmed that... because earlier you stated that not all HTC G1 devices have the 2.0 bluetooth technology ... (which is hardware by the way)

Geek for Me is proud to release:
Updated Radio.img for Android 2.1 (radio version 2.42.00.03.10) for Sprint
This has only been tested and confirmed as working on Fresh 2.0d but will work on every Sprint 2.20.651.1 based rom
Flashing an updated radio will typically give you better battery life and better signal
Different radios work differently depending on where you are in the country. You may actually get better performance out of another radio. Test them out.
This won't fix any current problems with the 2.x roms, but it will make your phone more efficient
Don't hold me responsible if you brick your phone
Don't flash this unless you have a CDMA Hero
In case you are wondering, our stock one is 1.04.01.09.21
Check this post for how to flash it: How To: Flash a Radio Update Sprint HTC Hero
DOWNLOAD: http://geekfor.me/downloads/radio-242000310
Appeciate all you do for my phone man! Probably a stupid question but does 'all 2.20 based roms' mean that radio number specifically or jus any above that?
Edit: Just answered my own question. 2.20 is the software number. DUHHH!
awesome Flipz!
would you personally recommend updating to this radio?
Cool! Is this much different from your last radio?
Gonna give it a shot.
Thanks!!!
flipzmode keep up the 'GREAT' work. We all have benefited from your tireless efforts and professionalism!!!
I haven't had the "GSM bug" on this radio where it drains your battery by searching for GSM towers. But I can't promise it will be the same for you.

These aren't changes or tweaks by me. If it was I would absolutely post everything I did to it and I would have a much better explanation that "it should work better." These are made by Sprint.
Phone is rooted via [GUIDE] How To Root The Sprint CDMA Hero (Windows) (won't let me post link, as I'm a new user) -- I tried another method yet it didn't work.
After rooting, I try to load roms via recovery. The install is ALWAYS successful. Then once I reboot, I get HTC screen.. then custom ROM image screen, then it loops the ROM image screen over & over.. never fully booting.
I've wiped the phone clean multiple times (as I did not the first time I tried) and still have the issue. ROMS I've tried: [ROM] DamageControl v 2.05 (has firmware 2.1), [ROM] Fresh Rom 2.0d (has firmware 2.1), and AOSP 2.2.1 (Froyo).
I don't think this is in the right section.... I apologize.
Yea this is the wrong section it goes under Q&A but I am also having this problem.
I just flashed the OCT. 4 Cyanogen nightly and i'll let you know how that works.
Also did this happen after running the RUU for the .7 update?

Ok, so you did a full wipe every time? How long have you let it wait? A first boot may take about 15 minutes.

No problem
First, this post isn't for most people. If you want to flash your radio via recovery, see HERE. This way is easier in most cases. Otherwise, continue with this post.
Note: Flashing a radio by any method can brick your phone if something goes wrong... which it shouldn't. Flash at your own risk. It worked for me, for what that is worth.
HBOOT Flashable Radio Download.
Download the file, rename it to HERCIMG.zip.
Place HERCIMG.zip on the root (top level) of your SDcard.
Reboot into bootloader, or hold VOLUME DOWN + POWER from power off.
Make sure you are in HBOOT mode, if not read the screen on how to get there.
Once HBOOT is up, it will automatically find HERCIMG.zip and scan it.
You will see it found a radio and wants you to press "ACTION" to continue.
Press the trackball once, then wait. Once it's finished you can reboot.
You are done.
Thanks to Nfinitefx45 for posting the radio in his ROM thread, post #2.
S-OFF Method I used can be found here.
Thanks for this. My university blocks 4shared (along with Megaupload and Rapidshare ). It's sometimes a pain to get the file I need. Thankfully I had s-off.
