Anti-thief app. - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hi guys,
I was looking for antithief app and I couldnt find something like that. HD2 got g-sensor so we can use it as a watcher.
You could put your phone on the desk and start that app and if somebody pick it up g-sensor turns on the alarm horn. What do u think guys?

^^ i think the whole idea is a little unconventional.... i would much rather just put my hd2 in my pocket... as opposed to turning on a "alarm" and leave it on a table....
yea.. now that i think about it.. the whole idea is quite useless... if you can turn the alarm on.. you can just as easily take it with you....

Turn Off Accelerometer Autoanswer?

Hi everyone!
Ok, so it's cool that when i put the phone upto my ear, the accelerometer automatically answers the call, and when I set it down it ends the call.. what's not cool is if I pick the phone up quickly, it tends to answer the phone without it being to my ear.. to people I don't want to talk to, instead of giving me a chance to b***h button them, lol.
Anyways, is there a way to turn this off or adjust the sensitivity?
Thanks!
are you sure it answers from you putting it up to your ear?
i tried it with mine and it didnt work...unless you aren't using the at&t stock rom
Yea this is a stock ATT rom, I picked up the phone a few days ago... I'm not touching the answer button to my face either... hmmm...
It's the application Gyrator 2... BLAH.. Thanks anyways guys!
Yes I had the same problem and just unloaded Gyrator2 it is was cool. it made my phone pick up on its own even when I am not even moving it. hopefully Gyrator2's creator can fix this problem...
Actually, if you goto Menu / Events / and delete the Pick up event in the Gyrator 2 app, it will disable it, and you can still use the nice auto rotate stuff!
Ooo I didn't know Gyrator could do that! That's nifty!
Is there any way to completely turn off the accelerometer?
stick ur phone into a microwave for a few minutes.. that should do it hah jkin DONT DO IT!

Just got the HTC Fuze

I just recently got the Fuze. i had it sence Saturday and im kinda confused about it and the programs. but now i was wondering sence this is a PDA phone. with downloadable apps and whatnot. i was wondering what should i do with it. and i have no clue how to or figure out how to change the background of all the tabs. if its possible can anyone tell me and is there a templet so i can create my own.
oh and do any of you Fuze owners know if theres a way to make your alarm go off wen the phone is off or charging.??? because all my phones were able to go off when the phone is off but this one seems to be in a different basket.

Start with the manual and then read the links below.
like the manual that it came with it?? or what?
no the manual for the iphone...
but a real answer for your only actual question. download g alarm its much better than the winmo alarm and actually works
well.i looked at the g alarm. and its the same. dosnt go off wen the phone is off. which is pointless when its called a "alarm".
Are you actually turning the phone off (which takes about 30 seconds) or are you just pressing the power button once and the screen turns off? If you just press the power button once, that puts the phone in standby, not off, and the alarms should work fine.
im actually turning the phone off. because every once in a while its good to have it off. but is there a way to make the alarm go off wen its shut off. like regular phones.
No thats not possible. What is so good about having it off? If you don't want to receive calls go to the comm manager and turn the cellular radio off.

I've never owned or heard of a phone that can turn itself on for alarms. It's not really "off" in this case, is it?
noo look. my phones i had the Sony ericsson w580i and the Razr v2* ithink* both had alarms on them. and i could have them off. and the alarm would go off on the time and give me a option of having it turn the phone on, which i want to know if the fuze has that..also when you have ur phone on for so long, and dont power off once ina while it gets slow... like a computer so i like to have it off some times and have the alarm go off to wake me or some cases not to wake.
i know what u mean some phones, the alarm will start even if the phone is completely off (dumb phones with clock battery. then the phone starts the alarm only not the phone
to answer ur question no
smartphones cant do anything if they are off
PS this would be use full if ur phone is low on battery and u dont have a charger and ur sleeping outside, u just turn the phone off before going to bed and it will have enough juice to run ur alarm

I've used pTravelAlarm for many years (Since my old XDA Orbit) - It's not free (not expensive £10-£15 I think).
This WILL wake up you phone when in standby. (Which is what I take you to mean by off?)
Obviously if you phone is completely off then I don't think anything will work.
No, thats not the problem! i never shut down my phone!
The phone is one and fine, but in the morning when its time to play the alarm sound, It either Frezes! and u have to do a soft reset!
Or it Frezes and Dies (the Screen is Totaly shut) and still you have to make a soft reset to get the phone stated again.
I wanna fix the orginal alarm since i dont wanna instal many apps + i dont use the alarm funktion more than once a day.
All my old mobile phones switched on at the alarm. I dont want to sleep with my HD2 on near me. So i switch it off... why is this so hard for the alarm to work?
Yeah the alarm sure give us a hell of a problem, it will only be on for a few seconds and its off again, the first day i shutdown my phone and i didnt know that the alarm didnt work if u shut off the phone, and luckly i have my n73 to wake me up... does anyone have any good solution for this...
thank you...

Automatic bluetooth on when on external power

Wouldnt it be great if bluetooth turned on automattically when I put the phone in the car holder(with charge function), and when i pull it out bluetooth turns off.
I Know that Phone alarm can do the trick but i don't need all the extra things that come with phone alarm, it only messes things up.
Is there a simple cab file around who enables this function?
Or if there isnt, could someone make such a cab file? I know a lot of guys who would love to have this working.
I would like it!
i am using phonealarm which also supports this function. Find it at www.pocketmax.net
I know i used it also but it is overkill if i only want to use it for the bluetooth function.
forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3367344
I installed it, reset my phone but it does not work.
Is this one especially for the hd2?
Oh boy would I like this! It's such an simple and usefull thing, and yet there still is no cab for it.
I'm not a developer, but it seems easy: power on = BT on, power off = BT off. It should be a matter of finding the right trigger for power on, and then combine it with the bluetooth-toggle cab found elsewhere. (See attached)
Who can help!
ps: it's for a HD2, so post mentioned above (bluepower) doesn't work indeed. Probably because of the other BT protocol used.
ps2: the attached Touch X Bluetooth Toggle.cab DOES work on HD2, but manually. If this cab can be changed to toggle BT on power-status in stead of manual input we'd have what we want.
ps3: phonealarm does know how to do the trick, but it's not flawless, and surely overkill. BUT.... the right trigger (powerstatus-on, powerstatus-off) should be in it somewhere... who can find it, and convert the attached BT toggle with it to the wanted function?
would be a nice one to have indeed, hope someone can help!

Really searching for this, would love it...
Hope there wil be one soon
Yeah, as per the thread I started on a similar subject, I want to do this stuff but like others, Phonealarm is a little bit OTT for what I need, and g-profile just simply doesn't seem to work for some reason.
I set up a bunch of profiles but when you change (either manual or auto) the stuff you set up for the profiles in question just doesn't seem to happen. Hoping I'm just doing something wrong!

Sorry, but the logic is flawed. Some times the user may have BT on when not charging, then start charging. It would be bad to disconnect bt when he or she did not want to charge any more.
I'd do it like this: power on, save bt status, turn on bt regardless of previous state. power off, turn bt to same state as saved. You could possibly ask the user if he or she wanted to disconnect.
That would be an improved functionality indeed. But not needed for me (yet). I only use Bluetooth for connecting to my carkit. The rest of the day it's turned off. So for me power_on=BT_on and power_off=BT_off would be enough.
Your added function makes it even nicer though....
Nobody who can help us?
Bump,
wow this topic goes down fast.
hope someone will pick this up, it's a really good idea
and so simple.... it seems.
I really would like to have it too. I even provided the raw material with the working other programs, now all we need is a Winmo magician who can extract the needed elements, and brew it into a working cab...

On the profiles tab hit options an use the top function(automatically change) to ad the toggle on power state.
Ok, one last try.
Isn't there anyone who can help us.
I do use phonealarm right now but i think it drains my battery fast.
How about this guys?

Havent used it myself, and it is not clear if this is touchscreen compatible..

This will happen tomorrow, I'll keep you informed
EDIT : Well... Delayed to next wednesday, maybe I should keep her waitin' a lil' more ;oþ
It failed the EPIC way.
1st of all she was very late because she had car issue, so when she arrived she was already pissed, then when she saw me she became mad, and finally when I tried to get back to my home, my car was not there, probally robbed...
So in response to dba.rknair, don't do it !
Lol, but did the Tasker profile work?
Not exactly, I didn't manage to configure something stable enough for it to launch the music as the door open, so I used tasker in an other way : I disabled vibration and ringtone from the phone, and activated a trigger on tasker to play the music on missed call.
So I had to call my phone, ending it on the first ring for the song to start...
But as everything were screwed up it was useless.
