Help please: Java doesn't seem to be installed in my new HTC HD2. In Opera Browser, sites which require Java don't work. Is there a way I can install Java in my HD2? Maybe I'm just missing a point - help would be really appreciated.
I have the same problem on rom 1.66.
once I solved it by closing opera ,then running jbled >download and trying to open the opera from there.it did the trick once ! but NOW i can't ! any help ?!
I need to run the Java version of Mobipocket on Android.
Not working on HD2.
How does one go about doing this?
Erm dude, I doubt you can run java desktop environment on your phone... also, are you just trying to run .jar files? It's not exactly how it works
I'm talking about the mobile version of Mobipocket, not the desktop version..
Yes, I've got both the Jar & Jad files, but neither of them boot.. How does it work?
If it can run on these devices http://www.mobipocket.com/dev/beta/j2me.asp then I think it should on a HD2 hah

You would be wrong. Those are Sony Ericsson phones with a Java OS as its base. They do not run Windows Mobile 6.5. You need to find a mobipocket version for Windows Mobile 6.5 or earlier.

Thanks Leachpeak. But I'm running the HyperdroidGBX on HD2. No go for Android?

Supposedly this lets your login to your mobipocket account and read your books that way on Android. Keep in mind though, unless you have a lot of books, you've got much better eReader options such as Google Books, Kindle and Nook.
Yes. My reason for mobi is to have all my dictionaries under the one hood.. Now I've found Colordict which uses stardict format. Got most of the dictionaries back. This is the best multi dictionary search engine. Works Like Babylon desktop version. Colordict leaves b2go in the dust...
My favorite was ireader till I found moon reader..
No need for mobipocket anymore..
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App

Hello, I downloaded the link to my Tilt but I'm unable access the action screen or the back button. The browser isn't able to play flash. Do I need to tweak it somehow. NetFront 3.5 is way better than this version of Opera.

Hey guys,
i've tried to install some java apps using the vox's default program i think its called "Esmertec Jbed"
And they all come up with the error java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError whats going on? :S
Any had this problem or know how to fix it?
Thanks
No one else had this problem??? Anyone manged to install Super Bluetooth Hack?
I have problem like this with various Jar files. It seems to me the programm esmertec don't work properly. On my old Sony W200i these .jar files worked without problemes.
I tried Jblend, it work quite better.

Did you get it to work as well? Jblend gave the solution. The app runs but I can't seem to find phones when I choose to show the list of available phones etc.
Some help please
The emulator does not translate Java class hooks and calls directly to WinMo API. I highly doubt you will ever get BT_INFO working properly.
so if jb doesn't work.. is there other app that you can run that with?
as frauhotelmann said no windows mobile java tool is able to use the needed java class for bluetoothhack!
is there app similar to super hack that will run on mobile phone?
havent seen one its annoying
they there is there a way to create a link for installed JAVA Applications under WM6.1?
I'd like to start my GoogleMail Java Application directly by Icon shortcutting the usual way to run Java first and then select the icon for the application.
So I think I'm asking for a script that does all the steps?!
Cheers
There's an OperaMini one.

You will probably have to download and rip apart the CAB to figure out what it does.

no. operamini is a java application I have to run inside the Java manager as well. you didnt got the point. opera mini does not start like a seperate program. I have to open the Javamanager first.

If you install the CAB from that link you can run Opera mini from a Shortcut on you start menu (or in Programs). I have not opened my Java MM in months now.
Try taking apart the CAB and seeing what it does, or what parameters the Shortcut has (by default the Shortcut is in Programs>Internet>Opera Mini)
Thanks

I think you should follow DaveShaw's advice about looking into the cab he linked to. That file is the linkage as you describe, only it's for Opera Mini. So what you should do is check how the developer has managed it, and mimic it for your GoogleMail-thingy..

Sorry, but how exactly does a web browser, make the gmail java midlet work withou launching Java first?
Dave
Skyfire has java written all over it. This browser does it all.

Skyfire does Java Applets, not Midlets. Midlets are what are run on your device, not as part of a webpage, those are Applets.
The GMail applicaion is a Java Midlet, and must be run from inside a java midlet manager, I've never seen any browser, ppc or not, run a midlet .

I'm not sure you are following "exactly" what the OP is after.

I think most ppl here misunderstood me.
yes I am talking about JAVA-Midlets here. Nothing to do with Opera or whatsoever. I just want to link a direct start-icon to any Midlet-Application avoiding the opening and confirming of the JAVA Midlet-Application.

read the MIDlet bible, there, I've linked to the description of these stuff. Most importantly, you'll need the tutorial at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=387752

Is anyone aware of a WC2010 app for the HD2? Having one showing fixtures, groups etc. would be ideal.

Great program.
I have been using it and it is on par with FotMob.
Gui is better in FotMob, but this one is Free.
For the German Members: Resco WM Mobil 2010 is the BEST app you can think of for following the world cup, teams, games, stats, news and much more. To say it shortly --> Functionality and UI is really superior and well worth its price !!! At the moment you can get it for a discount price of 6,95 Euro (instead of 10 Euro).
http://pocketland.de/30350/WM_Mobil_2010.html
Yes I remember Resco having the same app for 2006 World Cup...I wonder where the English version is though...
Yea, english version is a must please. there must be one. is it not possible to change the german version in to english. im a bit of a noob so dnt no the practicalities of this. but pleeeeease there must be a english version or another good app sumwer. ITS THE WORLD CUP!! easily the biggest competition ever!
@ elburna ref: wm mobil 2010
thanks for the hint (oder danke fuer den tip ???).
definitely worth the money and runs perfectly well on my Leo.
now i'm all set and ready to go. SA here we come !!!
cons: you not only have to speak german, you also gotta be favouring the german team for the tournament, as you apparently cannot switch your favourite from germany to any other team ...
Please keep follow up this thread

It says on the site that you need Microsoft .Net Compact Framework 3.5 installed prior to installing the app. My rom (Elegencia) had this cooked in so I just installed the cab and it just ran!
You can download the Compact framework here -

thanks for your answer. but i do know that and in artemis rom there's also the cf 3.5 included. trying to install it in the device instead of sd-card...maybe this helps...
EDIT: unfortunately, installing to device memory didn't help either :-(
Hi, i cannot download from this link. http://www.mobilepractices.com/ for some reason when i try to download the app it just takes me to a web page with all jumbled up writing i can't understand. Can anyone supply the cab file from here? Its free after all.
Got it working, downloaded it using internet explorer. I really like the UI in this i think it is amazing. only thing i dnt like is that to scroll left or right you have to drag from the top of the screen, and on the HTC HD2 this isnt so easy. maybe for future apps this could address by making a small bar at the bottom to scroll with perhaps. not sure really. otherwise the app is amazing. Wont know if the app works completely untill the compitition starts and updates start to come in.
CHEERS!
i have the same like you man, just see a full page of keters and crazy numbers

On my Hd2 is not working and I have .NET CF3.5 installed.
I downloaded direct to my HD2 and it is working (and updating) without problem. Excellent looking app with a great UI. Hope the developer keeps it updated after each match.
When I get home and get the cab off the phone, I will upload here if it is still needed. Cab file attached
Guys! I've just downloaded uc browser for wp7, 1.4 version and now is in english on wpmarketplace. Is a very cool browser, used it a lot on my symbian phones. The good thing is that I've just installed it on my optimus7 and works fine, even when I've downloaded .xap files from DSmarketplace. I can see my file but all I can do with it is to share on skydrive. Thought that will be usefull for the ones with developing aptitudes.
