Hello to all. I have htc hd2 from Orange FR, now i install hspl but i need uninstall it.I can't find official ROM from oarange. When i enter my serial number in HTC website -not supported phone.
Where can i find an official rom to put in SD card and make Fresh install to old OS.When i'm trying to put other OS in card- no instalation process started

mate I'm looking for the same thing cause i got MDa2 but with the German rom, so if You will find out where to find rom WWE please let me know, case so far this MDA2 is unusefull for me cause i dont know german
on the ftp site is a copy of the T-mobile nb1 ROM file, if you write that file to a sd card, get your device into bootloader mode with the usb connected, you should be able to power to flash that tmobile original ROM file to your compact. Do bear in mind that the radio version will remain what it is at present at the file on the ftp is just the rom and not the radio version.

HardSPL/SoftSPL will. (I'd recommend SoftSPL as an official ROM will overwrite the SPL any way).
I tried softSPL and had some errors in the pop-up command box.
I'll try again tomorrow.

If all else fails, I'd suggest unpacking the ROM download file (right click on your PC and select "UnZip/UnPack here") and then copy the nk.nbf file from that into a folder with the "NEW" RUUs and flash it as though it were a new WM6.1 ROM (including the Hard/Soft SPL)...
I tried that ( also with prophet tools ) but it didnt work for me :S
I'll try later and post the updates here.

Can your device boot up? (is it stuck in bootloader?)

But still no dice with TOMTOM NAVIGATOR 6
the program hangs after the splash, but when I boot without the SD card, it says no maps found. So there might be a conflict on the SD.
TTN 7 does not work either ( just tried to install the diamond .cab to see if it worked)
But the prophet device is not compatible.
Sillyness is that is used to work perfect.
I'm going to try to find a solution for this, if else I'll FW-down back to WM5 or 6.
Which is a bit more familiar for the original owner.

I tried this. It's only upgrade. I need original rom. I tried to install wm6 and I don't unlock superCID. My original rom was delated and now i can't install other.
On other forum i found that I need original rom from Orange PL. If i want to install wm6 or 6.1 RUU shows error :invalid vender id. On my smartphone only shows starup animation and bootloader. What I have to do?

If you do image of rom it will be in *.bin. I can't install rom in this format.
Do you have a normal/standart installation of this rom??

I've made ROM backup before flashing new soft, so I can make an image of my card-->then You'll put this image on to Your card & that's it.After that insert card into the phone.Push camera button and put data cable into the USB slot.Phone automaticly start flashing from backup ROM fro SD card.

You probably didn't do super cid. You now need to flash the original rom, supercid and install the rom you want.

Each phone is " carrier locked " you can only upgrade shipped roms if they were made for your carrier's phone.
For example : if you have an O2 Hermes and want to upgrade it to WM 6 using a " shipped " Voda rom for Hermes, you cannot do it. Even though the rom is " official " and made for the Hermes, it will not flash because the rom is Vodaphone and the phone is locked to only O2 Hermes roms. You wouldn't need to unlock if you were only flashing an upgraded O2 rom.
If you " carrier unlock " your phone , you can flash any rom made for your model phone, official or custom.
Obviously WM 6 is faster and has many more advantages than WM 5 and a good custom rom has many more advantages above that.

Yes !!! Flashing is the same as a hard reset and re-formats all internal storage.Always back up all your data to removable storage first, and then I always remove it before flashing, just in case.
Flashing doesnt wipe your micro drive only rom
