Ok so i wanna flash a rom that requires danger spl which isnt a problem. I know to flash the radio first then flash the spl. My question is say after i do this i wanna change to a hero rom which requires a different radio? can i keep the danger spl with the different radio or do i need to change my spl as well?

Is it true that once you upgrade a radio version you can't go down to a lower version. I've successfully managed to install version 1.34.405.1_4.1.13.54_03.10.90 from Radio 4.1.13.54_03.10.90 (don't ask why) but my phone still says I have Radio 4.1.13.54_03.10.90.

No that is not true. That is the exact same radio version you posted. Some ROM's do not flash a radio. The best bet is to flash a stand alone.
Once you are finished flashing your ROM and happy with your device. Patch SPL using the regular SPL method and then run FLASH from within the SPL folder, this will flash a patched SPL to your device and act as a Soft SPL. From here you can flash any radio and number of times to test the best one.

It should be in the Wiki, the uSPL is by jockyw2001 and it is loading a patched SPL from RAM. Flashing the uSPL over the ROM SPL will turn it into a "soft SPL".

My magic is 1.33.0006 (Vodafone Spain) so is a Perfect SPL, I have been reading about the different ROMs and some of them need a different SPL, my question is:
If I rooted my magic (was shipped with version 1.5) and now I have installed the Cyanogen 4.2.13 and the RA Recovery 1.5.2G, Do I need the goldcard to change the SPL and the radio version? or with just entering in the recovery mode is enough?

Yeah. Entering recovery mode is enough
Goldcard method is basically avoid region check (if you will flash official ROM, that isn't for your country). In some times GC may used when flashing .nbh to get rooted.
i still am confused about the PERCECT SPL, which I have (.0006) is this SPL good enough for flashing new ROMs, I completed the 1 Click ROOT with no issue flashed the latest Cyanogen ROM, but I wanna try a HERO rom, its kinda why I got a Android Device. This SPL stuff is actually confusing me, five years for HTC devices I have never had an issue or really been confused on what to do, there is a first time for everything.
If i do need to change my SPL, which should I goto? I would like tjust to leave it alone and contine to FLASH on, cause I've been waiting for weeks to get an Android device and flash awaY!!

actually I think I found a thread just above this one that answered my question, but if anyone want to confirm the correct idea, thatn that would be cool, but I m gonna go ahead and upgrade to SPL: Engineering SPL 1.33.2010 BUT i would like to be sure thats what i need to do, i would like to keep my NO BRICK record intact

Mmm... 1.33.2005 (Haykuro Danger SPL) is most popular SPL for 32B-devices
Devs recommend it to flash before flashing their ROMs.
Usually, you don't need to re-flash ROM
is there any recovery image that i can flash to a 32b board that will run fine with the 32a radio? without flashing back to the google branded radio?
i am running
engineerings 1.33.2005 with radio 3.22.20.17 on a mytouch3g 32B phone.
cause i want to run 32a roms.... and the phone seems to run much faster with this radio and even the stock vodaphone software.

I have upgrade my HTC SPL and Radio, and after i have „flash” my ROM with the latest Rom of openeclair with the patch for the 32A model. It work well but after the OS loading, it reboot when it want the PIN code…
I have wipe all thing available, i have format the sd card, I have test without de SIM card ,I have fix apk uid mismatches but nothing change

You have flashed the new Radio but not the new SPL, 1.33.2005 (which is the "Danger" SPL, by the way) will not work with 6.35 Radios.
1.33.xxxx SPL needs a 3.22.xx.xx Radio
1.76.xxxx SPL needs a 6.35.xx.xx Radio
You have two solutions now :
1. Flash the 3.22 Radio back to be able to install the ROM you wanted to (I assume Openeclair runs on the old Radio)
2. Flash the new SPL (1.76.2007) and install CursorSense (there are a few other ROM that work on the new Radio but not many)
additional note : you need to use Amon_RA's Hero Recovery (or Cursordroid modified Recovery) with the 6.35 Radio, the "classic" one for the Magic won't work.
You can find the files in Cursordroid's repository.
Be carefull and don't do something unless you fully understand it. Messing with SPL and Radio can easily brick your phone...

Cm Work Now without any problem, but I cannot use OpenEclair...
But is no Problem, my magic is functional, stable and fast... I'm Happy with that ..
