2. dont understand the bluetooth thing with the dock...whats the point? doesnt the phone itself stream over bluetooth?
3. Is there a setting to make the phone silent or vibrate automatically when it is put into the dock, instead of turning down the volume?

Hi. I got a question and I've done searches and can't find the answer too!
Recently, my Amp in my car stopped working so all my speakers do not work. Yes I know it sucks! Anyways, I love my Tilt for being my sound system for my car! These are my 2 questions tho!
1) How can I keep Audio Manager on without the screen going out? I do not want to go into my Power/Backlight settings each time I want to get in and out of the car. The best example for this is Google Maps. It stays on for no matter how long without dimming/standby.
2) Is it possible for Audio Manager to search through ''Mp3 Folders'' instead of All Songs/Artist/Album/Genre etc? Reason is I have a random folder with singles and it won't show whats in that folder. Its all spread around!
K I got to stop typing now... My second time typing all this. Opera mini sucks with the ''Cancel'' right soft key!
Thanks!
I'm trying this program out to get my phone profiles to change automatically (silent for work and wifi/bluetooth on at other times like when plugged in etc).
I have set up details for auto switching but the behaviour now of the profiles is a bit weird at times.
When I have an automatic switchover for instance from Home to Work (silent) profiles, I'm not certain if it's actually doing it or not.
What happened this morning for instance was that I got to work at 8.40 and checked my phone and it still had the speaker icon showing normally in the taskbar as if it was still set to 100% volume, BUT, when I pressed the volume rocker to set it silent, I found the volume bar was already fully down, suggesting it had actually changed the volume setting as required and presumably switched the profile, but simply not refreshed the speaker icon on the taskbar to show that the phone was now set as silent or vibrate.
Hope that makes sense!
On top of that, whilst it seems to work well to switch both wifi and bluetooth on when required, it doesn't always seem to turn wifi off again when it should. I'm fairly sure it's not just a case of profile settings causing it just to remain on because the profile it's gone back to still uses wifi after an auto switch.
Would love to keep this program but only if I have total confidence that my phone is not going to ring when it's meant to be silent etc, and it's a little misleading at the moment with the impression it sometimes gives about whether the phone is actually silent or not.
Anyone else have these issues, and any way I can correct this?
Cheers!
if you've gone in to setting-->profiles --> and click option --> automatic switching
then you are doing it right
also realise there are option for switch on/off bluetooth/wifi/radio etc when setting up your profile
also if you can't see the PhoneAlarm taskbar on your front screen, then that would mean its not install properly and therefore not working, hope that helps
have you been to the forums @ pocketmax.net? there is tons of information there, and plenty of help for questions such as this.
I have been using phoneAlarm with no problems whatsoever for years now...
oh, and by the way, your signature does not reflect what ROM you are using -- I have noticed on the more recent Energy ROMs of mine that the taskbar is sometimes "slow" to refresh. for instance, when unplugging usb/charger the battery icon does not change from the 'lightning bolt' back to percentage until a minute or so... (this could possibly be related to volume icon as well)
Thanks for the replies
No I've not looked on their forum I must admit. Will be worth checking out though.
I'm very interested in the comments about this slow refresh with the taskbar though as I think that must be the problem.
I had noticed the same thing with the charging 'lightning'' icon but had forgotten until you mentioned it.
I've added my rom info in signature - thanks for pointing that out.
Is there any cure for this behaviour with the taskbar other than swapping Roms?
I'm quite happy really with this one, unless someone wants to recommend a rom that's radically better and doesn't have this particular issue?
Plus the fact I could potentially go through loads of other roms til this is solved, or just be trading this bug for another one.
Would love to solve it though. This app is growing on me but if I have to double check each time it swaps a profile to make sure it's done it then it defeats the purpose of having it.
I realise at least that this may not actually be the fault of the app itself though.
Hi,
Actually, I only have the possibility to switch from vibrate+ring to vibrate mode only.
Do you know how to add silence feature ?
Thanks

That doesn't answer the question at all. It says to use the volume control to switch between silent and ring, but for me and the OP that lets us select between Ring+Vibrate and Vibrate only.
I would like to be able to quickly turn the phone to properly silent, the vibrate wakes me up during the night when I get emails. WP7 could really do with the email scheduling feature that was in Windows Mobile.
Silent
Go to settings, turn off vibrate. Then when you press volume controls you can change between ring/silent.
Thanks for your answer, but I know this tips, but it don't answer to my question.
From my point of view, it's incredible to deactivate vibrate mode in order to get only the possibility to switch to silent mode.
I want to know if we have the possibility (with hack or somethig else) to switch between vibrate+rin/ring/vibrate/silent mode !!!!
Thanks
I dropped my phone and now the volume buttons rarely works. So is there a app i could use to control the music/call volume?thanks.
Sorry it didnt show the other thread i posted...close this one please.
Volume slider
Yes, there is an app for that, but only if you have a dev-unlock phone
See this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1577919
Don't know of one for fully locked phones.

What about one for call volume? This one is good for master volume but for call volume it doesn't work.
Not aware of any app for in-call volume.
I can see how that might be a problem for you if the volume buttons don't work at all.
Maybe you wanna PM the developer for that app and ask for it to be added?
Alternatively, is it that the volume buttons don't work at all? or do they not work well? You might consider taking off the back cover and trying to improve the contact with the push buttons. (Use small regular screwdriver at 45 degree angle if you have one of those 3 prong screws). Don't know which device you have, but if you check the forum for that phone, many have directions about how to take off back cover (mainly for updating memory card)
Hi,
I have the same problem too. This app works like a charm but not for in-call.
I am not sure if the developer could do something about it.
Unfortunately, because I have less than 10 posts, I am unable to reply in a dev thread.
I have tried to send an email, but not a private message, to the developer and he has not replied so I don't know if he got it or not.
I dont want to email him again cause it would be rude.
Anyone has any idea if it would be possible at least?
Cheers
Hi guys,
No answer to my post
Has anyone the same problem?
Would anyone mind to ask the developer?
Thank you in advance
Ok in case anyone is interested in this:
There is a solution to change the in-call volume manually, it s not an app but it does the job pretty well

Hi, I did a search for this but couldnt find anything about it on the forum, if its been answered and you know the link, please let me know. Apologies if its been asked before!
I did the official HTC RUU upgrade to 4.0.4 on my DS (loving it!) but im having a problem with the sound profile widget changer that changes between silent, vibrate and normal sound settings.
When i press the widget it delays about 10 seconds before changing it. if i press it again the change is instant. If i swipe to a different home screen and back to the screen that the widget is on, it delays again.
Highly unusual and inconvenient as I use this button multiple times a day when going into meetings.
Anybody seen this/know a fix?

Offical ICS RUU is buggy...Root u r phone and enjoy the custom ROM
I have rooted my phone because of following issues
1) Links and No. received in SMS are not working
2) Links are not working in Whats Up messenger
3) AVG App locker not functioning properly. Repeatedly ask for password if you try to open the application which is locked through App Locker.
4) Application like "Money control" crashes every time when you open that
5) "Temple Run" and "Pro Evolution soccer 12" games
running sluggish post update
6) More nos. of messages and contacts nos. turns in to the sluggish operation of the same
Above mentioned all were working fine on Gingerbread earlier.
Thanks
I have noticed that it has its funny quirks but overall the experience so far is better than GB in my opinion
Good tip though, I'll look into it when i have more time!
