[UI Design] New/Upcoming Andchat UI Preview - Nexus One Themes and Apps

Good News Everyone! I have been working with zer0day for a little bit now, helping improve the UI for his Andchat IRC client, and we a design that we both think would improve things substantially.
Differences in Design:
You'll notice many changes on the chat screen as compared to Andchat's current form, including...
-Server selection bar at the top of the screen
-Channel selection bar, indicating current channel as well as channel with PM's (green) and normal messages(blue)
-New background image, and overall color palette changes
-Revised arrow buttons at bottom to select channel, and indicate channels that have Pm's (green) and normal messages (blue) on channels off screen.
There's more to come, and we will be working on revising some other UI parts of the app to make it even more intuitive to use. Let us know what you think below, love and hate welcome.
I will be updating with more once I have time to design them and get with zer0day...

[App] Clarus Battery

Hello. We're the developers behind Clarus Battery. While we've seen moderate success, with the original app, we had a hard disk failure and lost most of the code along with the keystore we used to sign the app.
We're re-releasing the app with the original app name but a different package name (Clarus.Battery.rr). This is a significant re-write of our original code.
What is it?
Clarus battery is a minimal, transparent battery/temperature widget. The colors below Charge/Temp change based on their values from Green (Very Good) to Red (Bad).
Features:
- Background colors/alpha can be changed
- Text colors can be changed
- Launch apps from the widget
- 1x1 and 2x1 widgets
- Color themes for light and dark backgrounds
- Options to display/hide battery icon, health
- Option to show charging icon
Known Issues:
- Multiple widgets of the same size can't be added as of now. This will be fixed in a subsequent release
The app can be found in the market by searching for "Clarus Battery" or "pname:Clarus.Battery.rr". (I can't post external links as a new user).
The original app has been renamed to "Clarus Battery - OLD".
Others:
We really do appreciate the downloads we have seen thus far. A few users have wondered whether we accept donations. While we appreciate the sentiment, we're not doing this for the money. We'd much rather you donate to your favorite charity.
Thank you.
Best.
Could you please add option to remove (or make transparent) the horizontal line between charge and numbers. Really impressed though, still deciding between this and battery status text
Thanks
ooo this is pretty nice.

A few suggestions for the next update/release...
I've been using the "old" version until I saw this posted. Great minimalistic app and I really like the configurability it provides. Also, you were featured in the "Best Apps Of The Week" blog post over @ Android Police.
Just to offer a few suggestions for the next update...
- Allow a shadow option for the text
- Allow for custom horizontal line color choices
- Allow different color options for each text label (Charge | Temp)
- Allow different color options for each status display (Charge% | TempDegrees)
- Allow for the display of both/one/none for the Heath & Battery icons (Perhaps make the health appear over the Temp side and the battery icon over the Charge side when 'Both' is selected)
Also, can you explain what the "Themes" option actually does? I've selected both and haven't noticed a change in the widget at all.

And please do the same for Clarus Signal
Giving the Signal App the same option to hide horizontal line would be a great first step indeed

We should be able to add most of this in the next release. We'll have to figure out a better way to show multiple icons though (i.e. battery icon/ health). Allowing custom colors for the horizontal lines may have to be pushed back a little, but we do plan on implementing it.
The themes change the saturation of the colors of the horizontal lines and the battery icon. We added this option to ensure that the widget 'worked' with both light and dark backgrounds. The light theme works with light backgrounds and the dark theme works with dark backgrounds.

We're currently working on Clarus Signal and will be re-releasing this in the market soon. We've lost the code/keystore for this too.
We'll also create a new thread for Clarus Signal once we release the app.
Been using both Clarus widgets, and I love them. The only problem I have is that they do not align correctly with each other. Clarus signal's text and horizontal lines are higher then Clarus battery.
Other than that, loving them.

Could you send us the screenshot either here or to [email protected]?
They should align as long as icons are enabled/disabled on both widgets.
THANKS!

Thanks for the super fast reply! I've emailed you three screenshots, one from the desktop, one from Signal's settings and one from Battery's settings.

We expected you were displaying Battery Health. We'll fix this in the next update for Clarus Battery. Thanks for the screenshots.
They'll align if you don't display Battery Health.
Is it possible to give the font a bold option?

This will be included in a further update. We expect to allow separate customization for all text sections of the widget(s).

Glowtopia Live Wallpaper [FREE][Live wallpaper]

Hey everyone. I've just finished making my first live wallpaper. It's completely free, and also fully customizable. Watch as beautiful, glowing shapes travel across your screen, and as they follow your finger to form interesting patterns. Customize the shapes from the selection presented in the settings menu and even use your own custom image as a shape! This wallpaper will surely spice up a previously static, bland home-screen.
Key Features:
- Very customizable, choose any color you want for the shapes, and choose any shape you want.
- Interactive. Shapes will respond to touch gestures.
- Beautiful. Live wallpaper glows underneath the shapes to create an entrancing effect.
Search "Glowtopia" on Google Play.
Thanks! I would greatly appreciate any feedback, advice, or tips.

Updates
Updated app to include more shapes, and added a pretty cool new background.
Updated UI and made it easier to use.

Bugs!

After the update the interface looks like ****, icons graphic is bugged, same with the overall menu (white background), motif chooser isn't working and I'm struggling with my chrome, can't match it with my phone acc and I'm not able to use more than one tab. Please help.

[Feature request] Ability to change background colour

Can we have an option to change the background colour (the area that borders album art and videos) please?
Would also love this feature -- for those of us using tablets with IPS screen and hate ALL backlight bleed, it would be great to be able to change the upper and lower video borders to a dark grey or a slightly lighter black. Given the existing and pretty incredible UI customization functions, I can't believe that this would be very hard at all.
Thank you for a wonderful app!

It seems that you are looking for the options to change the bottom and top bars on the playback screen. Request you to open MX Player Settings > Player > Style, and you will find the options adjust the colour and opacity of the bottom and top bars.
Hope this information is helpful to you.
