Hi All,
I ask this question as the Core player v1.3.6 build 7472 can not play movies which are bigger more than 1GB, it notifies the error " File not found!\Storage (FFFFFFF8) ". Does the storage card need to be formatted with NTFS format? Anyone can help me?
Thank in advance.

1. Open Core player
2. Menu-Open files...
3. Select file
Only files bigger than 2gb don't play....1gb plays fine.

I guess:
You try to open a file store in you SD-CARD,from a file explorer(ex. resco explorer...), select Core player, right ?
so i think
this is a bug inside Core player, it can't parse the path string send by your file explorer, which contain space like "\Storage Card\..." .

Hello All,
This is my first post so be gentle.. Hehe. I just got a G Tab yesterday and installed the TnT 3.14 custom ROM. I have a Moto Droid 1 so I am experienced with flashing custom roms. I noticed that the G Tab has 16gb internal memory.
The problem I have is that it says I have 13gb user memory left but for some reason I cant get that portion on the memory to be viewable to load pics or movies on,. It keeps saying not enough space like its going to the APP partitioned space which is like 2gb.
Is there something I can do to load stuff onto the other 13gb of space it says is there.. Please give me a hand if anyone knows....
Thanks, Rob
If I'm not mistaken you have to go into clockwork recovery and mount the SD card. Give that a try and then reboot and see if that works.

Hello,
Thanks tried it but it says the same thing. I think I know what is going on. My movie file is 4.37 GB MKV. The error says that the file trying to be copied over is to large for the destinations "File System".
I think this is a limit of FAT32 isn't it? Can the internal card be modified through clockwork to accept large Files?
Thanks, Rob

I've searched the forums and googled, but can't find a definitive answer to this question that I would like to have answered before actually buying a TF.
Can you get files larger than 4 GB onto the internal storage of the TF, and will the TF read them properly?
I'm asking in the context of wanting to play H.264 mp4 movies that I would convert from Blu-ray. Some of the converted movies are over 4 GB. I know the microSD card can't be used for these because the TF (or Android) won't recognize NTFS on the microSD card. So I would need to play them from internal storage.
Thanks.
Rooted stock 3.2 will use NTFS on mine!

Thanks, but I don't want to root. Do you know whether an unrooted TF can play can play mp4's larger than 4 GB from internal storage?
I downloaded a torrent to my internal memory (not SD or MicroSD) that was a 4.3GB iso file. I then copied it to my computer via cable. So I know the file system can at least handle it.

Hi all,
When i put mkv files on external micro sdcard by a usb to microsd adapter.
The mkv files dont play on mxplayer on my samsung tabpro.
But when i use kies software from samsung and put the files by connecting the samsung tabpro directly to my pc.
The files come under DCIM/Camera/mkvfiles on the microsdcard the they play with mxplayer.
Just to let people know here.
Seems very strange huh.
I wanted to buy and still going to if all works on mxplayer.
But i search really hard why my mkv files did not play on my samsung tabpro.
Any reason why i need to use samsung software to put files on the microsdcard to play mkvfiles.
greetings

Hi,
This is very strange because storage location does not affect playback at all.
If you unplug USB connection immediately after copying file, file can be corrupted because file may still being copied by Windows USB driver or Windows file system. Use "Remove device safely" menu on the Windows notification bar area. It will ensure file buffer being flushed.

It's due to the android restriction introduced on Kitkat onwards. It prevents the third party applications from directly writing on external sdcard. They can ony write in their respective data folder in sdcard. If you have rooted device then you can fix it by downloading a simple application. Else you have to use Samsung file manager.

As @bleu8888 said don't unpulg the usb device during copy.
Sometimes background process may still copy. Before unplug the usb test the copied file is whether playable or not. If you are still unable to play check the hash values of both files (like md5 or sha1) to ensure the file integrity. Most of the latest file managers like es, Fx can do this. If it doesn't match there should be some problem on your samsung file manager.
Hi,
I think its indeed a read and write problem.
Going to have a look into this.
Maybe root if i find more info about it.
Thx

I do have kitkat with same restriction.
Other apps can't write in microsd in my device too. I am also using samsung file manager to copy any files to microsd card. But, I can play everything whatever I have.
If you look at your case, other then it's data folder mx player can't write anywhere. Even mx player can't write in DCIM folder. But, it's playing well when you copy through kies means your file is complete. It seems that when you coping from file manager it's getting corrupted or not completely copied.
To copy files there is no need to use kies. When you connect in mtp mode your device will be listed as media device. If you open that it will show both internal & external sd. You can copy to any folder.

Indeed no need for kies.
The issue seems more my sdcard itself.
I have a couple 64gig class10 sandisk here.
Restriction from pc to tab is very bad. But if i use cardreader seems like i can write on the card again.
But i have probs with 64 gig sandisk very strange.
Its like person above said movies are like not fully written on de sdcard.
But I realocated the partion on itand formated it now it seems ok.
So Sdcard was like 59gig partion and 3gig other partion and i scrap and made it only 1 partition in total seems it write much beter now.
greetz
ps sorry for bad english

Hmm. there is a configuration for it. But it is not changed for long time since most people uses Froyo.
Would you try any other app if it can be moved to sdcard?
Yes other apps have moved to SD card
