Pocket Diablo on HD2 - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Anyone try it on the HD2? Of course Diablo II would be really great on it but I've put way too many hours into it in '99 or whenever it came out.. but never played the first one much.

Huuuuge diablo2 fan... don't think the HD2 would struggle...
and i have tried diablo 1 on my HD2... it was pretty buggy... hard to click on things... far from accurate
maybe there is a better version out there...
http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Games/RPG/Pocket-Diablo-78125.shtml <---- Diablo 1 for ppc (you need to extract a file from the diablo 1 cd to make it work)

You might wanna try fpsece and diablo for psx..

NintendoDS Rom's porting on Android

Hi, exist something about porting of NintendoDS on Android?
With touch-screen will as have an real NintendoDS on hands
I doubt this, as DS emulators on PC are still very slow, nevermind a handheld.
Check out the gba emulator in the market and see how slow it is.
Ok, Understood.
I would buy the gba emulator, but in Italy, google haven't again issued the market to pay... :'(
Is a really sin...
god damn it
there is NO GBA emulator on the market! only an ****ing slow gbc one !
Let's try to focus on getting things like SNES(or hell, even NES) working completely before we try for the DS, mkay?
Well it is possible to get MAME (gameboy, nintendo, etc.. maybe even ps1) running ..
the arcade emulator is based on FBA which is based on MESS (just a guess, i dont know that4sure) and MESS is similar to MAME .. ^^
The DS utilizes a pressure sensitive screen while the Android uses a Compacitive(sp?) screen. I'm not sure how well this could be adapted to work for DS emulation.
Also, the G1 has 1 screen while a DS has 2....

Well but's that really no problem ..
G1 screen resolution is 320*480 while both NDS screen are 256 x 192 pixels
As u can calculae there would be still 64pixel vertical and 96pixel horizontal left ^^
yea but imagine how much time it would take to port and figure out.. then think about how NOT fun any emulator is to play on a phone when it stutters and stuff.. i mean the nintendo one didnt work good untill I clocked the phone to max.

(REG) Ages of Empires 2 for HD2

Hi, i think that it would be cool if Ages of Empires 2 was ported into HD2. Just imagine a classic game such as that on the big screen of this device with multitouch etc. Along with the strong processor it should run extremely well.
I would like to do the potting myself, but unfortunately I dont know anything about modding or porting.
Thanks
Stoferr
lI would love this too Hmmm I would also love Dune 2... that should be easier....
Ive played machines at war and the likes.... but it would be fun to play the old favorites!
aoe 2 hd2
oh yeah this would be great still got it on cd... imagine if i had it on my phone? classic
I read in another thread for top 5 apps that someone listed AOE Gold Edition for PPC as one of their top 5... that would be awesome... but I wonder if it really works well with a WVGA device...
aoe 2 hd2
any one remember empire earth 2? im just asking because that would be cool too. right? uh? uuuuh?
Warcraft 2 has been successfully fully ported.
I wish AoE2 would be too. It's so much better

[REQ] Final Burn for HD2?

Hi everyone,
Just wondered whether it would be possible to adapt Final Burn (WM version) for the HD2 in much the same way as Morphgear has recently been ported?
I've found and got ver 0.014 (which seems to be the last WM version published) running on mine but can't seem to set it to display in landscape mode, nor are there any on-screen buttons, so apart from watching my phone run CPS2 games nicely there's not much point!
I'm a complete noob when it comes to this sort of thing as the HD2 is my first WM device so I suppose all I'm asking is if it's possible to make it into a useable program and if so I'll gladly donate to anyone willing to develop it!
Cheers guys!
Just found this video of someone running Final Burn with a BGP gamepad on HD2 (go to 9:22 in the vid) and was hoping someone might know how it's been done?
It looks like he uses WVGAFix in order to run it in landscape but I can't seem to get it to work? I've currently got WVGAFix4.
Any ideas? I'm still hoping some kind soul will develop a WVGA version of Final Burn, I've even tracked down some source code from a guy that ported it to a Linux mobile (file attached) if anyone is up for the challenge?!
He use FPSece to emulate games from PsOne.

No he's using FPSece to being with but at the end of the video (9:22) it's Final Burn, you can tell by the UI and because the screen flashes green before the ROM loads.
what are the improvements of using Final Burn ?

It's really just the selection of games that aren't available on something similar such as FPSece for example, like Street Fighter 3 or Alien Vs Predator. I think considering the HD2 is more than capable of running Final Burn it's a shame it's not fully supported.
Final Burn 0.014 version works fine on HTC HD 2 ....... just have a bluetooth gamepad for the controls and WVGAfix4 for display .....

what do you use to play dos games on your HD2 ?

what do you use to play old ms dos games on your hd 2 ?
there is the n0p dosbox version but it is not in wvga and if you click on the sides, it interacts with manila so...
then there's QEMU, but it seems that in the versions prepared until now, you have to drag the mouse where you want to click......
So what do you use for you hd 2 (or other phones WVGA) ?
+1
Yeah same here. I've got all my old favorite games working now via Morphgear but need this to get Chaos Engine running
Any one?
Ooooh yeah, I love chaos engine, if you cant tell by the nick... Anyhow, have you tried playing soldiers of fortune for the SNES? Very good port of it.
Anyhow, yeah I am trying to get dos working as well. Have had limited success running games but everything has been fairly buggy so far.
Damn, I would love to get some of the old DOS games on the HD2 as well. Haven't played them for ages ...

Heavy graphics games for HD2

Recently I bought HD2. I have searched most of the top gaming sites and forums, but still not able to find games of a quality offered for iPhone. The hardware and graphic card quality of the phone is the best in its class but still games available in the market are way out dated .
If you people really have some thoughts, please share them.
Thanks,
Yash

I tried this option also Kowboy, but still the games are pretty old. Checkout the games available for iPhone and the quality. We are now into the world of God Of War 3, still you want to play Mortal Combat? Strange!!!!!
FPsece0.10 working with CHT Editor ??
Hello!
I have read all the informations about FPsece. But it doesn't work on my HTC HD2. I install it like the support say it to me. When I start the Emu,I only see the "LOAD CD-Rom File" Screen(grey). And I see the games in .iso . If I select a game the only thing it happen is, a short time black sceen and then the screen turns back to Home screen. But the top of the Home screen(the bar which shows "Start", "Network", "Sound", "Accu") stays BLACK.
What's wrong??
This Emu works with .iso, .bin, correct?
Is CHT Editor a problem for working FPsece?
Data of my HTC HD2:

Manlia: 2.5.20121429

Are you saying that God of War 3 is available on the iPhone, or are you now comparing the HD2 to a PS3?
Yes, PSX games are pretty old, but that has nothing to do with their quality and blatant superiority to anything the iPhone has to offer. The PSX was a dedicated games console, and is obviously therefore better than any phone on the market today, for games. Show me any fighting game on the iPhone that comes close to Tekken 3.

I have no idea why you would think that, since the CHTEditor has absolutely nothing to do with the emulator, but I will tell you now, 100% guaranteed, that your problem has nothing whatsoever to do with the CHTEditor.
I suspect your problem is that you've downloaded the game images, rather than ripped them yourself. If you have ripped them yourself, rip them again, but at the slowest speed available.

Im sorry but most of the games on the iPhone as far as i can see are a complete joke. Some are absolutely brilliant but very very few.
Take a look at Street Fighter 4 on iPhone as a perfect example... 1 button for punch, 1 button for kick and the other buttons do the special moves for you... talk about dumbing down your game for your target audience.
There is no mobile device in the world that has as many quality games available as the original Playstation One library. Yes they are old but that doesnt mean they arent better then anything that is new. Most of them in fact are MUCH better then the newest mobile games on any platform.
Sorry to be a little off-topic, but does anyone know how to run XTRACT off the momory card?

add starcraft to that and there you have it best thing ever!
I am not saying that God of War 3 is available on iPhone or trying to compare HD2 with PS3. My emphasis is on the latest technology. Have you ever tried to run Tekken 3 on PS3 (event though it is not compatible)? I hope, the answer is NO.
I have been using iPhone from last couple of months. As far as the gaming experience is concerned, undoubtedly it is much much better than HD2. Just have a look at Hero of Sparta or Blades Of Fury then you will realize how much outdated the games are for HD2 in the market.

Thanks. But I think it defaulted to internal memory installation (like most Gameloft titles)... however I will give it another go.
Cheers.

I have actually played Tekken 3 on a PS3. It is compatible, if you don't have one of the newer PS3s.
My point was that there are a slew of PS1 games that completely wipe the floor with any game currently available on the iPhone. All those games are playable on the HD2.
I have been using FPSEce for many months. As far as the gaming experience is concerned, undoubtedly it is much much better than the iPhone. Just have a look at Tekken 3, Driver, Wipeout or Final Fantasy then you will realize how basic the games for the iPhone are, in the market. After all, they're being blown away by games, some of which are over 12 years old.

I've got xtract 2 on mine, installed to the storage card, so it definitely asked me. You could always just copy the folder out of \Program Files\ and then edit the shortcut.

lol... did you even read my previous post?
Hmmm.
OK, so there are no HD2 specific games, but surely had research been done regarding WinMo, that would have been realised before purchase? And disappointment adverted.
There are a few games using Open GLES, but what mobile game can even come close to playing Tekken or Metal Gear Solid (which are full console layer games) on your phone.
Anyway, I have downloaded BIN/CUE files from a particular online resouce , and apart from issues with playing background music and sound effects at the same time, all is great! I really cannot be bothered to purchase a PSX disc and rip them myself, so I will just continue to download them.
Is anyone able to explain why ripping a disc at a slower speed is better from the ROMs and FPSECE?
Thanks.

From my knowledge of ripping disks way back in the day when i first discovered fpsece (about ten years ago!)... its because you get less bit errors when ripping at a slower speed therefore the emulator wont throw a spaz when it finds something out of place.

Yes mate. And also bear in mind that the discs are lower quality than we're used to today, and many of them will be 10 years old now!

The games on my SD vary from 345MB to 714MB. If you want a lot of games, you'll want to get a bigger card.
