HBOOT-1.33.0010
Please proceed at your own risk. These worked for me. should work for all the HTC Magics in India. Dont know about the others.
Steps -
1. Download Recovery Flasher 1.4. Backup recovery image.
2. Download Amon_RA's RAv1.2.1H modded recovery image. Copy it at root of sd card. Rename it recovery.img
3. In Recover Flasher type “/sdcard/recovery.img”
4. Download "Engineering SPL 1.33.2005".(No other SPLs worked for me). Copy to root of memory card. Rename it to update.zip
5. Download any 32a Custom ROM (I used Amon_RA's). Copy to root of memory card. Rename to ROM.zip
5. Reboot in Recovery mode. (home+power). Backup with Nandroid.
6. Apply from sd card - update.zip. Reboot from menu after it says so. It will again boot into recovery mode. Seems to be stuck on "Clearing Cache....".
7. Reboot by pressing back+power. Check SPL is changed to 1.33.2005. Then power down.
8. Reboot into Recovery. Apply any zip from SD - ROM.zip
9. Once it is finished, WIPE THE PHONE from the recovery menu.
10. Reboot into a new android world.
Never used a Gold card. Those SPL's don't seem so perfect anymore.

Please be aware that this method (using Zinx's recovery flasher) will probably NOT work for firmwares released after August 2009...
Will the SPL 1.33.2010 work, my magic is waiting for the fix to perfect SPL, i already bricked a my touch and dont want such to appen with my new 32a

when I was root on my Magic, but after that, I cant do anything custom, not even flash in any way, so my root rights are gone and can never be regained?

Just use Goldcard method to root... It's the only way I've found for that SPL

You have root already.
Post your adb output:
adb shell id

Functionality of using goldcard is ONLY avoiding check for Customer ID.
And now what? can I flash just the eng 2005 spl? If so, would the procedure described in post no 1(this thread) would do the trick?

As you have SPL 1.33.0010 and phone 32A you may flash rather SPL 1.33.2010 (same in my signature)

SPL is like BIOS at computer. You only flash engineering SPL via recovery and nothing more.
If you want try some custom ROMs (with SenseUi or with Droid UI) you may do it via recovery too. But beware official RUU updates and updates, which contained hboot

I had a goldcard created just in case. All I had to do is to flash the spl from the recov menu.
worked like a charm.
From now on, can I attempt to flash any rom I want? For now I should keep away from RUUs right?

Yes. But use only Roms with tag [32A]
p.s. Cursorsense is not compatible with SPL 1.33.XXXX
yeap, I was reading the entire cursorsense thread now. I intend to update the radio and the spl to try the rom.
From spl 1.33.2010 i can simply flash 1.76 required for cursor right? and the radio also; I've read that there's a way to return to 1.33.2010 eng spl if I would like to try other roms.
What I don't understand, why this limitation to that specific spl ver from cursorsense rom? it is not based on 1.5 cupcake? This is still pretty unclear to me. Is it because of the kernel 3.x ?

Did you download and flash the correct Amon_Ra recovery image? There are 2, one is G and other is H, look at the link/file you downloaded.
Follow directions closely. There are 2 different versions of the sapphire 32A or 32B. always make sure you use the right stuff that you are trying to download for.
There is also no need to create a goldcard any more for the perfected SPL. Look up the Sapphire WIKI that is stickied and gather the important information.
Then follow the directions in this link: this worked perfectly for me.

I also came across other threads that indicate how to do this much simpler way, but this is the only one I can vouch for since I have tried it.
just download the 32B radio and recovery image, then go into fastboot and do this
fastboot flash radio radio.img
fastboot erase system -w
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RAv1.2.3G.img

loads of thanks guys but i messed up the recovery i flashed was of H build and ROM i was trying to load was of 32B i did the flashing and now cannot go forth the HTC MAGIC logo i am stuck there
but i can go to the recovery and also can go to the fastboot and Hboot menu wat to do now

Lol. If you actually read the thread you "followed", would would have noticed Amon_RA's comment later on which says..
"[...] if you're using a 32B you just have to flash a 32B radio after (see how-to root mytouch thread for more info on that)."
As already stated, you need to flash back to a 32B radio and the fastboot command(s) were posted on Page 1. If you don't know how to use fastboot then you need to do more reading before attempting anything like this - you will need the Android SDK from their website.
Ofc flashing your radio can brick your phone if dont wrong, so I'd advise you do some reading up.

I'm not sure if the radio img on the HTC Dev site is suitable - I mean I guess so, but I don't know much about radio flashing so am not 100%.
Check the stickies for links, or search for guides on fastboot/using adb.

Lol, then you needn't have downgraded in the first place. But anyway..
I'd advise sorting out your radio.img first (maybe the one from the HTC Dev ION site, but as I say I'm not sure), flashing an engineering SPL (now you don't have a perfect SPL anymore, this is a relatively straightforward procedure) and then flashing the Google ION official 1.6 ROM (unmodified ROM but you can gain root access and it's just normal 1.6).

If you want a Hero Rom, hit me up. I'm a noob and thought I bricked my device. I'll walk you through it.
RA 1.2.3G, Latest SPL, and Qtek Rom1.8 along with BFS300B is all you need. Takes 15 minutes to have a blazing fast machine on your hand

This ROM is a nearly stock 1.6 Donut ROM, based on the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G Limited Fender Edition. It has all of the T-Mobile apps in it too.
Thanks to crypysmoker for testing some rather dangerous SPL/radio stuff on his phone.
Requirements for this ROM
- MyTouch 3G Limited Fender Edition OR MyTouch 3G 1.2
- Rooted recovery environment
- Stock MT3G 32A Radio and SPL
---- Radio: 2.22.23.02
---- SPL: 1.33.0013
---- Amon_RA Sapphire G Recovery
- Ability to read and comprehend English for the instructions
Downgrade/root your MyTouch3g 1.2/Fender using the normal means. I think the goldcard method works. Check this thread for more information. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=622530.
After rooting, you will have a 32A phone that will not (at this point) have a working touchscreen on any ROM.
Download and extract this ZIP file. http://www.theandroidkitchen.com/fileshare/MyTouch3g32A/?download=MT3GStockRadioSPL.zip
Boot into FASTBOOT, flash the radio, then the SPL/HBOOT, then Amon_RA Sapphire G recovery, then press Menu to power off your phone. Boot into recovery and you now can flash this ROM. Make sure that you flash the radio, SPL and recovery at the same time without rebooting in between.

Then boot into recovery by holding Home and pressing Power and you can flash this ROM.

I don't have one of these phones, so I'm not sure what works and what doesn't, but I hope this gets you guys back up and running without reverting to the T-Mobile non-rooted ROM. crypysmoker is testing most functions out right now.

Here's your stock SPL and radio. I warn you though, don't flash the SPL. Use the 1.33.2010 SPL. I'll post a link to that as well.
1.33.2010 SPL
Stock MT3G 1.2 32A SPL and Radio
Extract the SPL/Radio ZIP File and put hboot-1.33.2010.img and the radio.img into one folder. Download the Amon_RA Sapphire H recovery.
Type in these commands with your phone in FASTBOOT mode:

fastboot boot recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.5.2H.img
Apply the 1.33.2010 SPL update.zip through recovery, reboot your phone, then boot into FASTBOOT again.
In FASTBOOT mode, type this on your PC:

Just to make sure you saw that in case its a rom problem. Going for my radio now. Now i gota get that Fender spalsh back lol
I saw that error on my phone just now too... I'm going to try to fix it.
Give me a few minutes. In the meantime, do you now have the stock radio flashed, with the 1.33.2010 SPL and Amon_RA Sapphire H recovery?
Does your FASTBOOT show 32A Again?
For this ROM, please make sure you have the 2.22 stock radio flashed, from my instructions, along with the 1.33.2010 SPL.

Since I followed Amen ras instructions after reading them 100 times.. I for the life of me cannot figure out how I got this to say 32b. it makes no sense to me at all unless there was a major revision to the NAND or other hardware for these
its also doing the fun part like it did when I went to your rom/radio to where recovery just will not boot.

I flashed through flashboot ... Ive been messing with G1's for a while so I know my way around a tiny bit. its just this phone is pain in the tuckus.

Radio changed... Info at top did not.. Argh.. what would have made it change?
Since I know the goldcard method works and I can downgrade... Should I try the stock spl also? is it like the G1 where radio is first then spl? If none of this works then somethign has been changed in the hardwhere because the other guy in my thread that got hsi rooted has the same exact problem.

It's worth trying the stock SPL, see if that alone changes the 32B to 32A.
If you have Amon_RA Recovery installed and not the stock recovery, you should be able to leave the Stock SPL flashed.
First flash the stock radio, then the stock SPL, then flash the Amon_RA Sapphire H recovery, then 'fastboot reboot-bootloader' to see if your changes worked.

Wouldn't advise it.. it's Fender only (RADIO-2.22.23.02).
Try this Fender rom instead if you want to try it with your current radio/SPL.

DO NOT FLASH IT... those are only for the fender as they are the only ones that allow for anythign to work properly. flashing them to your board may kill your phone

Any rom freeze phone...
i have fast boot access and recovery.
After read many posts and before taken phone i know 32B normally must be G (google branded and phone really is...) why in fast boot appears H
How i can fix this?
already try cyanogen blabla... already read also it´s normal appears H after spl...
I insert recovery saphire H and can access to recovery... i insert G and can´t access recovery

u might have used he gold card method to root, if u wanna go bak to G flsh G hboot , radio n recovery, find it in AMON_RA thread
I had 32b with G also. After i've flashed the Danger SPL the "H" appears instead of "G". I don't know why...

I've flashed this one because I tried the espresso ROM... but changed back either to cm_4.1.13 and/or RA_1.6.3 donut.

danger G1 but i've managed to flash 1.6.3 and CM....13 with my old 1.33.004 spl also
Seriously telling u cud hve ended with a brick but thats a new find tht u can cross flash g1 n magic 32b spl.
now the spl u need is 1.33.2007 or an equivalent, search on root mt3g thread n look in lower part of OP n flash

I've found some info: The G or H at the end identify if it's a Google or HTC SPL
So i have a HTC SPL on my Magic 32b and everything is just fine.
I have KINgxKxKlair ROM. So far so good...
yes i also insert cyanogen with port kernel to 32a and all works ok in 32b G and shoes 32b H....
seems strange after a fews days of incompreensive system... phone now work

With which radio? Which recovery image did you use? And was it with one click process?

Everything works perfect!!! I love this Rom, Super D
Steps :
-Wipe Data/Factory reset, Dalvik/cache, SD:ext partition...
-Flash SPL
-Prompt when ask for restart
-Wait 5 min,
-Take the battery go again to recovery,
-Wipe again
-Create partitions and flash super D, probably the best ROM for Magic 32 b

Now I have big problem : keyboard map is incorrect and don't have home button (original T-mobile phone don't have search button) and I can't go to recovery. Now I want update to any SPL which support Tmobile phone button correctly and I want have root.
Please help me, I'm trying google it too.

Yes, I can use fastboot and flashed recovery
I don't know why our dev doesn't post SPL with radio, as I know each SPL come with a radio, if you use fastboot flash correct a pair without reboot between flash them, your device never bricked
i thought it was currently not possible to root the.010 perfected spl
be it 1.76.0010 or 1.33.0010

i have a new g1 that has 0010 and would like to root it
You must have a goldcard and you will be able to upgrade to any nbh file for G1. (I have a devphone nbh, I will find it and share)
