The apps are usually displayed with the currency of the developers country.

I have yet to find a ROM with the Sprint TV app. I have a friend that has this app on his blackberry tour and it is a fascinating app as you can watch full episodes of tv shows without lag. I tried using Miximo's ROM which featured this app but it does not work. What a bummer... If you know of any ROM that has this working app, please let me know. Peace to all. (Y)
For what phone?
Here's a link for a Hero rom for the 32A/32B with Sprint TV
Download is in the 2nd post
Sprint Hero Rom
When I push Sprint TV app to my phone, the widget works but the app doesn't.

For the Vodaphone 32B, This ROM was particularly slow for me and I did not see and Sprint TV app only Sprint Navigation and Nascar but no Sprint TV... I did not check if it was available as a widget... If it is available where can I locate it on the phone and if it is only available as a widget, does the Sprint TV app work and how well? Thanks

How do I push this app to my phone? Which ROM do you use? and when you say the Sprint TV widget works, how well does it work and which features are available?
Again seriously shouldnt this crap be in qna or the app section. Has nothing to do with development. Unless you actually come up with a fix dont ask ques that are highlighted all over the forums. Oh my bad you prob didnt see them bc your in the wrong section.

Hello? This has everything to do with development, this app is in the process of being developed DUH! I did not realize you wanted to be a moderator. You can think you are but in reality you are underdeveloped in the sense you have no business bringing your negative comments and dictating how things are run. For Christ's sake, go rub one out or find something useful to do in your life instead of wasting your precious time coming in here with you uselessness, makes me sick and irritated all at once... I have a question that has not been answered. Seriously you should get out of here and mind your own business. If you have nothing to contribute to this thread, your useless comment is not wanted nor needed here. If you can answer my question then please do so otherwise use your common sense and try to look deep inside yourself and realize if you have nothing positive to contribute to a thread that has an unanswered question than your best keeping your garbage and nonsense out of here. I'm sure you think you know everything so I hope the next time you have a question to something you do not know or are trying to find out, no one responds! If a moderator feels this thread does not fall under the proper category and needs to be moved they will do so accordingly, but that is NOT your job. Take a hike. Thank you. Peace to all (Y)
it had it on maxima's hero . the widget and program worked but i kept gettin an error saying "no connection, try again later"
Sprint has Blocked all non Sprint user's From using these app, ( Sprint TV ), Nav still works for me... Till Somebody hacks the TV App, It's not going to work.
Likely Looking at the Phone Provider when App starts, or provision of the phone.
anyone's guess at this point.

Thanks for the update Eugene, that makes perfect sense. I suspected it was being blocked but I also thought it could have been an issue with coding because the Sprint Nav app works flawlessly on your ROM and is a valuable asset in my opinion. Well I guess I'll just have to wait and keep my fingers crossed until someone hacks it... The other reason I would like to see the Sprint TV app on the sapphire is because it would give more competition to those with Iphone 3Gs. I do feel slightly humiliated and obsolete when I'm hanging with my friends and they can watch lag-less TV on their Iphone's while I'm pretending the metal detector app on my sapphire works and I get laughed at. While this is all happening, I am reminded that we all have the same unlimited data plan, yet I paid more for my Magic and I have limited functionality in comparison. How sad... *Sigh*
I checked the first 3 pages of the forums and didn't see this posted.
Here are some upcoming home replacements for Android. One name that should be familiar to us old WinMo users and a "newcomer."
http://www.tat.se/home/
http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/pre...gs-support-for-symbian-and-android-along.html
they both look pretty cool but I think tathome looks like it might be a little more to my liking.
SPB isnt out yet, is tathome available yet, i didnt see a download.
+1 for TAT home it looks like it could be NICE I checked out the video (good music and all ;-)) here: http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/15/tat-home-the-gesture-powered-3d-home-screen-your-android-device/
I used SPB Mobile Shell 3.x with my Touch Pro and I wasn't too impressed.
*** EDIT ***
Here is a video of Mobile Shell http://pocketnow.com/tech-news/mwc-video-spb-mobile-shell-50-on-android IMO Mobile Shell is suffering from what it always has LAG!!!!! Even on the N1 it looked slow, maybe because it's BETA.

I don't think it's out yet either. You can sign up for the preview here http://www.tat.se/home/ They said that "more information" will be sent later.

Looks cool! I signed up for the TAT preview.
Hrm, TatHome looks like what I envisioned Android 'should be' , I'm liking the look it quite a bit!! Next: to find out whether it really runs that smoothly on my Hero. 3d and graphics are great, but if it slows my phone down in the slightest its automatically going to get turned off.

cant imagine that it would slow it down anymore than sense but time will tell
muahaha, smooth as an iph*ne, and yet still kicking the pants off of it in terms of functionality = complete win for Android.
See, this is why Android is better, and why most everyone here bought an Android phone Since mostly everyone here probably signed up for that preview, the first person that gets the .apk for this, can you please post it up here incase they delay the preview to some people?

+1 on this but at the same time this is why some dont want to develop for android
Why would it make them not want to develop for it? Because some devices have different specs? I'm just curious.

Yes there are a lot of different spec'd Android phones out there but I think he is referencing the fact that Android apps are easier to "warez" than the apps on other OS's. All you have to do is sign up for the paid app extract the .apk post it somewhere. Also any dev can try to "reverse engineer" the app, change a few components and BAM it's on the Market as their "original" creation. Just my .2 cents

that is correct. when swype was first leaked I was actually talking to them about the bennifits of releasing it through the market instead of through manufacturers and one of the biggest concerns that was brought up was the fact that security for apps is too lax. now dont get me wrong everyone knows that for every security mesure there is always a way around it but android security just sucks thats why for the most part people afften have a free version and a donate version. if people can try it and like it then they are more likely to buy it rather than just pirate it. setcpu is a perfect example of this. sure the dev could have made it a protected app (but being a member here at xda he probably knew it was pointless) but he offers it free here and then if you like you can buy from the market to donate to help keep him developing.
so basically all im saying is...ok we all (me included) have pirated apps but if you like the app make sure to go buy it from the market and help keep these people developing for us.
I know I went off on a rant there but without intrest in app development this great platform will fail.
I might be the only here without pirated apps then haha. I did have CoPilot once, but I didn't like it much so I got rid of it. The only time I ever use something pirated is to try it. If I like it and feel the developer should get credit, then fine, I'll donate/buy it.

same here the only thing I am using pirated right now is swype but thats only becuase there is no way to buy it. but thats also because im a cheap ass and maily use free apps unless I really find something useful but to date the only things that I have bought are setcpu and beautiful widgets. im trying cachemate now but it really doesnt seem to be very helpful. I wish I knew a little more about programing there is an app for the iphone that I would love to have on my hero.
i played around with "pandahome" some yesterday. it seems beta right now but they are apparently coming out with pandahome2 soon. it's a good idea, just not quite finished yet. (fc's and whatnot)
anyway you might go check it out (if your feeling froggy).
lots of options and skins ect.ect.ect.
marketplace. free.
Despite the changelog saying they wouldn't work, paid apps are showing normally in the market. Previously purchased apps installed fine.
Anybody else seeing them?
Some paid apps aren't actually "protected". For instance, FeedR and Halp! (awesome app that my friends wrote, came out yesterday) shows up as purchased, but Twidroid (free OR paid) does not.
Did this really deserve it's own thread?
i noticed this too. Before the rom, I couldn't find android firewall or chompsms.... they are bother there now. However, I couldn't find bar code scanner. So some work some don't.
I was able to get the bar code scanner form the makers website to download
After a bit more searching, It seems I'm seeing only previously downloaded protected apps. But this is still nicer than having to install from backups. No problems fetching updates from the market.
Try to see if DroidLive is there.. not the lite version... thats a protected Pay app

I kinda disagree. The threads are too full of crap and search is far from accurate. The moderators should make a better effort cleaning up the threads. The Fresh 2.0 thread is about 75% crap, redundancy and off topic.
where are the mods???
Flashed the new build over his old Eris 2.1 base ROM and I can see twidroid, DroidLive, Goggles, etc.

U disagree? I could see if this was a forum dedicated to fresh rom, but its not. Therefor thats why there is a specific fresh thread. I dont see why people dont get this simple concept.
Since this thread is still here...
Has anyone just tried changing their build footprint via build.prop like in all of the other 2.1 versions?
i have some Paid for apps from when i had my HTC Magic how do i get them on my Streak? i have looked in the Market but it just says Buy. how can i see what apps iv paid for?

It is, post on the google market help page and the apps you buyed can be seen in all the confirmation mails from checkout or in checkout history.
I ask politely to know why the Rom khal do not exist anymore thanks
yea...the thread is gone...
xav's Wanted ROMs have been removed as well...
Might have something to do with them both running ADW EX (I think they were?), which is a paid app.
If that's the case I hope they can just be reuploaded with the free version, since I haven't gotten around to trying either of them yet...

i hope thats the only reason coz it can be taken care of easily, they just remove that paid app(and if there are others) and re-upload their mods
thanks for the reply ... hopefully good ....
yes, i wasn't even aware of it.
the admin removed those 2 topics
they are welcome to re-create it after the ROM have the paid apps removed
