Hi all!
I am the developer of the Next2Me app. I recently released the latest BETA version of Next2Me, but some users are having some problems with the latest version. They don't get any GPS signal. Especially Toshiba and Omnia users are affected.
So, I would be pleased if some of you can download the latest version of Next2Me from the thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=619329 , install and test it and write me your test results.
THX in advance!
C YA
it got my location via GSM (seemingly), off approx. 200 meters

SmartToolkit has been released in version RC09 with engine CORE-1. Because new engine (CORE-2) still under development routine, we can't release it yet.
Feature Update
1. Add System Global Skinning
2. Recode the Keylock and Screen Saver
New feature "System Global Skinning" is planned to release with CORE-2, but current CORE-2 is still 60% into complete, it need so much time to finish. So we add the feature into CORE-1 based code, and released now.
System Global Skinning only available for WM5 and WM6, we still not found any API in WM2003 that support for it.
Info and download links here:

Hi,
I've got an O2 XDA Orbit 2 with Copilot7 installed version 7.0.6.139, yesterday i recieved an Copilot 2008 email which stated
A CoPilot Live 7 software update is now available, incorporating a number of improvements and fixes to reported issues including.
Improved performance
New and improved guidance voices; Luke, Emily, James, Emma
New demo mode (with playback controls)
The update should be downloaded automatically through CoPilot Central (you must first register and login).
Just wondered if anyone has had this update come up if so what version number.
Thanks
i applied the update and my version number is the same as yours...
Thanks for the reply, was just wondering if there was an even newer update as I updated to ths version a while ago...........anything for performance improvements
short answer: No. maybe i'll be surprised at some point in the future.
Hi there!
I played around now with nearly each german ROM provided in this forum and thought it would be a nice idea to share my conclusion so far:
My requirements: a rom that is
o reliable
o stable
o fast
o economical
My conclusion:
o Tejaks V5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2348896&postcount=125)
o Radio ROM: 1.65.16.25
I really tried about a dozens radio ROMS / each german ROM and realized that a good number of them seems to suffer from the "battery drain" bug which makes the device unusable for my opinion...
My actual configuration like stated above (ROM and radio ROM) contains around 50 installed 3rd applications and uses only - tadaaa - between 1 (!!!) and 5 mW during standby (measured with battery status). Note: other ROM/Radio ROM combinations used a lot more (from 50mW up to 200mW and even more in standby!) <-- so much for battery usage / economy
For stability: I had NO call disruptions at all (not like with the newer radio ROMS) and got my GPS fixes pretty fast. The ROM never hanged so far.
Skype works! (I dont know any other german WM 6.1 so far)
Igo8 works!
I cant provide a benchmark so far - but this combination gives me the very best feeling related to speed.
No german keyboard bug!
No backlight timeout bug!
No camera bug!
So if you are german and wondering which ROM / Radio ROM you want to use - give this one a chance!
(PS: This is just my very personal impression of the avaliable ROMS... I give all my respect to ALL of the cooks - you all do very valuable work!)
Hi!
Thanks for the information. I installed Teijak's ROM yesterday - my first impression is very good (fast!). My only (little) concern is about the amount of free RAM (I guess because of the pagepool size?) - but let's wait and see.
The official HTC 6.1 ROM was really disappointing me (unstable, performance very different).
HI,
just change the PagePool Size to Dynamic with the Page Pool Patcher Tool. And you will get ~55 MByte Free of RAM. And the Device will going to be awesome fast ;-)
What i miss in this cooked Rom is a pre installed VOIP configuration and the Live Messenger.
...best german ROM?
Hello, I also search for a good, stable and fast (new) german ROM to flash first time my Kaiser...if someone else have good experience with new roms please post here your opinion, bugs and so on...
Thanks for your help,
Lou
I completely agree with licht77!
first, yes I am a nooby. But never-the-less I managed to flash the V5 yesterday night together with HardSPL 3.59. Radio is 1.65.16.25. Before this upgrade I was running the official HTC 6.1 upgrade.
I have changed the page pool to 6MB. My impression: this ROM really rocks!!! Even with this low page pool it is much better than anything I run until now.
Teijak, keep the good work running.
BTW, I am located in the Munich are and Vodafone customer...
Cheers.
Now u can buy paid apps from any country around the world with this market enabler...
Thanks to Tim strazzere (strazzere.com) for this app.
Its awesome give it a try.
Errr... I don't really know, what to think about it. MarketEnabler is a well known project hosted here: http://code.google.com/p/market-enabler , but:
There is no word about Tim Strazzere. I think app was developed by Andrea Baccega and Michel Racic.
Version 2.0 is f... outdated. First version on the project page is 3.0 and it was released 16 months ago.
1) Tim did the initial reverse engineering
2) get the latest from the Project Page... v.2.0 has a lot of bugs and wrong values for US Market so it shouldnt work at all
Hi Guys,
Posting this in light of the new versions of the software that are out there now (I used search and the results are a bit outdated).
Device: Android based PNA (chinese 2 din), 700 MHz cpu with 256 MB RAM
OS: Modified version of Android 2.1 (a few things like bluetooth etc is blocked, Google Maps upgrade is blocked as it is set as a system application, currently has maps version 3.1 installed)
Map Requirement: Canada
Other Requirements: Software must run smoothly (not a resource hog), Traffic would be nice to have
Can you guys recommend which application I can buy for this slow device? I saw a lot of iGO floating around, not sure how I can buy it but I can research that part.
I tried co-pilot on my phone and seems like it requires a good cpu which this PNA does not have.
Is Sygic, NDrive or Navigon good alternative? Any recommendation is very helpul.
bump bump....for any reply
