Hi all,
I have found one reg tweak to disable threaded sms in KAISER forum of xda develpoers .. I tried in ELF and it works like charm..
its
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM\SMSInboxThreadingDisabled
you need to create OEM key in Settings and create a DWORD SMSInboxThreadingDisabled and set it to 1
reset the device and you are now back to normal SMSs..
It also does not disable SMS notifications..
I searched but didnt found if it is already in forum.. If it is there dont bash me
Add it to wiki, pls.

You have to create this key!
Greetings
Working perfectly, i already had the OEM key, just had to create the new one.
Thanks
Finally, a way to disable threaded SMS without losing the notifications. Thanks nik
Other than notification, is the incoming sms sound alert work also?
As the previous registry "[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings]
"SMSAvailable"=dword:1 to 0" ,resulting in No notification and No incoming sms alert.
If yes, I shall go back to WM6.1 ROM, now using WM6.0 as dislike the threaded sms style.

yes! thank youu.. works perfect!
Hi all,
this is great and it works indeed... although it also disables something that many people might WANT to disable, although I don't... namely my TrayBar with BatteryStatus icons (and other applications as well).
At least it does for me on Duttys latest 6.1 ROM... on a Kaiser. Can anyone confirm this (and specify the device as well)?
Best Regards,
Nik
thanks chief for the tip. works perfectly on my elfin powered by my own rom
Nice tip ! Works like a charm !
nice it works
Jaaaaih!!! :-D
I was almost sorry that I upgraded to 6.1 - until I found this!
It works! And you don't need to delete SMS messages first - as mentioned in another thread.
well but thats an old tweak...what happened people? Advanced Configurator has the tweak also...just give it a try...
It works but I think its causing my sms notifications to fail. I have described the problem in another Thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412322
Have upgraded my ROM and Radion tried everything but there are no notifications when I receive an sms. Anyone any ideas?

does this fix the issue of htc messaging getting slow when you have a lot of messages?
thanks!
Yes, its function is to fix this issue
Fonts
I have an issue with this fix: after istalling it the font in HTC Messaging client becomes almost invisible...
i installed this fix but after that the letter size in the textfield were to type the text in, is so small, that you can#t read your written text.

Reset your font size.
Are you using a Leo based ROM?
this is for wwe roms, right? or is it multilanguage?
I need it for a german rom. somebody has an 0407?
I have the same issue: The font size of the sms text is VERY VERY small.
Note :
- This occurs only when answering a sms and not when you write a new sms.
- Changing font size has no effect on this (it just displays the sms you are trying to answer in a bigger font not the one you are writing)
I'm using this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=566546 Manilla 2.5

FWIW, I have no text size issues.
Settings\System\Screen\Text Size
I created a cab. It includes all languages
try it: rapidshare.com/files/337682662/_HTC_HD2_LEO08007.cab
deactivate manila before installation!!!
on my device the input range is normal size now.
Xpopuptoast
After installing the fix the task manager shows, besides the messaging client, a XPOPUPTOAST (?): what is it?

Ok, thank you!!
Hi,
I've just installed this fix on my TD2 which is running Dutty's Leo 2.5 HG R0 ROM, and haven't noticed any difference in the speed at which the SMS threaded list built up, although the phone is now responsive whilst building up the list so I can write an SMS while the list finishes building up, so there is some improvement!
I do however have one issue/bug, that hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet. I now get the some extra text added to end of each message in the threaded conversation just before the date and time are shown (please see attached image), the text reads "- GSM"
Any ideas why I have this extra text and how to get rid of it? it only appears in the threaded view, not on the single message preview when you first press on the message tab, and not when you select "all messages" when in Conversation mode, but if you switch to traditional mode in "all messages" the "- GSM" appears again.
Hi,
is it possible to change the acer dialer by a S2A style dialer?
if yes i would appreciate a cab file plz !!
if not, is it possible that the phone switches to the WM6.5 lockscreen dialer when i have an incoming call ??
thanks for your help.
++
give S2U2 a try, i love it!
i prefer to keep the WM6.5 screenlock.
and the real problem for me is when the screen is not locked, i want a slide to answer (so s2u2 wil not change anything about this?)

Use "SmartLock" . Is the best way to do what you want.
sorry but smartlock is not the solution to my problem...
even if i ask to smartlock to lock with an incoming call, it's the Acer dialer that appears firts and not the WM slide to answer.
There is a simple solution to deactivate Acer Dialer and to use WM Dialer.
Download Advanced Config Go to Phone / Dialer / Disabled
This solved my problem.... Im using resco's contact manager for "slide 2 answer" and acer's call handling was dominant, thats why i had to disable this dialer...
i hope i could help you

Hi!!
Thanks for the info, but can you post a link to the program?
Thank you!
its a shareware proggie, which can be bought at resco.net
another slide 2 answer proggie which is for free is s2u2, its freeware just google it. many skins can be found on this forums too
Hi!
Thanks for the answer but I was talking about the other program, the one to disable the Acer's dialer Any ideas?
Thank you again!!!

@Riotman
when the phone is not locked with S2U2 and if you have an incoming call, is it the slide to answer of s2u2 or the Acer dialer that appears ??
Oh yeah!!! It works!! I've been searching for ages for a solution to use s2u2's dialer and now it works perfectly!!
Thank you very much!
i think acers call management wont appear anymore if you disable acers dialer via ad config tool. im using phonex atm and acers phone management doesnt appear anymore
have you guys tried stopping the acer dialer from installing in the first place? it is still in the extrom right? so it means that it installs after you set up your device (calibrate screen, input time and date...)
which means if it was not installed in the first place, you can use any dialer you want... i might be wrong though, i have used several acer and eten phones and all of them uses the "push camera button" while the system tries to instal oem cabs to stop it.
try to use Inesoft Dialer
I recently flashed the 2.5 MaxManila and I can't seem to revert the rhodium sms back into the windows mobile sms app. On my last ROM, I used the SMS tab windows default cab but it's not working. does anyone know of other cabs to change it?
That cab doesnt work for sense 2.5 so at this time there isnt a way that I know of.
Do they have have a new sms app for my hd2...the defualt on is choppy sometimes and just looks blah...plz help
yeah, its called Windows Mobile 7
I suggest you try kimi_sae_ireba's Sense 2.5 People/Messaging Mod. You can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6362736&postcount=1295
You need to find a way to successfully kill the messaging client before you can install his cab because otherwise it will not work.

do you know if this messaging client helps with the SMS loading lag (threaded with lots of messages)?
this is my BIGGEST issue with the HD2 and how it takes forever to properly reply to a SMS

The mod isn't an actual "Messaging Client". It's a mod for Sense.
If offers a number of features that the HTC Messaging Client doesn't:
1. Paged messaging system - Similar to WM threaded SMS where older SMS are moved to an "Older Messages" page. This helps increase loading speed SUBSTANTIALLY.
2. Has page navigation buttons so you can move to an older page to review messages sent and received.
3. Has built-in text size controls - You decide how large or small you want the text in the messaging window to appear.
4. Has offset speech bubbles - Adds a bit of eye candy to make messaging more enjoyable. Also has an option to turn these off if you like.
NOTES:
1. HTC Messaging Client MUST be removed or completely disabled/killed.
2. Arcsoft MMS is now required since the HTC Messaging Client used to handle MMS and is no longer available.
Try Version 2015 of Sense Messaging. Its not been released yet but you can ask in the thread for a cab. Believing rumours it should have GREATLY improved the loading of messages (instantly).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696848&page=19
Make sure that you close HTCMessaging 100% before installing: Disable HTC Sense --> Reboot your phone --> Install the cab --> Reboot --> Activate HTC Sense
I like the look of the speech bubbles of kimi`s but I have stock rom and reading through the thread a few people are having issues, anyone know of any others with teh speech bubbles all in a simply cab file for stock 1.48
i can make the cab but i need to know where i need to copy files!
