[RELEASE] Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard Tornado Hybrid

Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard Tornado Hybrid
CE OS 5.2.19202.3.0.0 (SKToolsLite readings)
I am glad to be able to find the time to assemble and cook this ROM. A "Very Special Thank You" to GnatGoSplat for providing the base ROM, assistance and encouragement. A "BIG Thank You" too to RickWyatt for helping me out with my first ROM release sometime back. Thank you to everybody else who are willing and brave enough to flash this ROM to your device. I hope you enjoy this ROM as much as I enjoyed cooking it.
As I am quite busy, support from me will be intermittent and difficult to come by. I hope experienced forum members and cookers can give a helping hand. Please use KarHoe's (great work man!) fantastic Guide to flash the ROM. (Best result when "format BINFS" is done.)
The significant feature of this release is the XIP 20202 from Vox. Please see the benchmark data below for comparison.

- Settings==>Connections==>GPRS - remove T-mobile settings and use Network Wizard to set your settings
- Broken link to Getting Started in Recent Programs (because I removed Welcome Center) After running a few other applications this will disppear
-Voice Recorder soft-key not working
- installed but decided to remove CyberonVoiceDial due to softkey conflict with CommManager/VoiceNotes - cant find solution yet.

I hope to find time to clean up the Registry in general and hopefully could fix the issues/problems that arises.

I have managed to build another hybrid version with Build 19593. If there is interest I'll upload it. This release was inspired by Nitrogenious' comments in this thread. See pics below.

HTC Diamond may "kill" us all. I like it but I like my tornado more...lol

Well, i have already the phone configured and i found some issues.
The SMS aren't threated, can i enable threat sms?
The startup/shutdown images don't appear, when i recibe a call, the background image is the default Windows Mobile green picture with logo.
The jbed esmertec don't install GoBible, launch file error.
The font is little big
The other thinks work fine

Well, the SMS are threaded, i import the SMS with SMS Tools Pack and this tool don't leave it in threat, but i make some test and the message in effect are threaded.
Well, i install the HTC Splash Screen for the startup images and i'm looking how to change the background call, jeje.

Seems to work fine, liked homescreen in previous release more, so will try to shape it the way i want.

I just flashed my test phone and it works REALLY fast compared to previous 6.0 on it! is there any way to modify the clock font size and type to look like the one on HTC Home?

Now i just need to find how to put Hebrew on this thing, cause letters are coming as squares again
Any chance you could check my post on the smartphone general regarding how to dump a rom and extract hebrew from it ?

@karmacoma7: Homescreens are controlled by *.home.xml and *.cpr files.
@Sefy: Idont know how to dump rom. Maybe you can search for language file.
My bluetooth connection is ok. I can send/receive files.

Thanks illi, i try to remove the key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:CallAlert BKBitmapFile but the background comes withe, then, i put another picture. You have the original picture, i want that looks seem to the phone when i make a call
Another issues, today i use the WMplayer and play music when travel to work i notice that the display always stay on, exist any form to modify the wmplayer configuration to turn off the display?, this works fine in the Rickwaytt rom of june 11. I must to configure the wmplayer buttons because the next-previous are unconfigured, i configure it to right, left respectively.

Instal the mms composerposted by mr. Simonkjam on his everey vanilla flavored UCextrom for tnt ROMS, it works for me

Ive Been Examining The Rom N Turns Out That There Is Something Eating Up The Memory. Like If U Go To Setting > System Tab > Memory And Under Programs YOUll See Tha There Is Something Just Slowly Eating Up The Memory Have To Constantly Free Up The Ram (UNDER THROTTLES COMM MANAGER) For No Reason

the MMS problems (there is no MMS in the rom) so don't know if you have installed a cab
about the memory I've used my wixard the whole day and started with aroun 22 MB and now 12 + hours later it's down to 19,60MB and has been there for several hours... so maybe it's an app you have installed?
and no one has problem with screen not responding so it's the crack in my screen that is causing mine to not respond so good

mmmm I think that MR SVI and Mr TNT enables the IRDA, ask him if you dont have any idea to incorporated, 20721 or 20271? so the numbers makes the diference...

1. Throttle Launcher will not work in landscape mode. 25% of the Throttle Launcher at below will be cuted in landscape.
2. I think there is some problem the menu in dialpad screen ( When I click menu button in dial pad screen it show empty space with (A) and (B) at right side of the menu) .
3. No onenote mobile installed.
4. Dialpad is not so good. I prefer to use SNN's ( Pauldgroot for Diamond dialpad theme ).
Other thing is good. Very fast ROM
But now i am going back to SNN ROM.
I very much liked the Throttle Launcher 0.9.3, anyone plz can help to fix the landscape problem. I finded everything in the net but no luck!

1. I also have this landscape problem and it is supose to show the quick new menu like in the Touch Pro but it's prob a limit in throttle because the keyboard is on the other side the in most newer devices and APBilbo has a Herald ... so I'm guessing that it's set to change when you rotate to right handed view.
2. thats some mui problem that I need to figure
3. thats on purpose I never used one note for ppc or pc(useless app IMO)
4. I will look at that skin but I will not use it maybe change mine (I make my own skins)

on you device goto \Program Files\ThrottleLauncher\Setups\TFlo3d\TWolf\Contacts and copy the vars.txt to your computer and change the numbers and names in the files you also need to make new photos and keep the nameing the same foto1 2 3 and so on
lets say you have a contact called Jack and number is 1234567
change the first 2 lines
&nome1=Jack&END
&numero1=1234567&END
and make a picture of Jack and name it foto1.jpg in 150x150 resolation

Hi guys,
None of these seem to work right on my touch2, the battery icons and gps change but the signal and windows buttons I cant do. None of the things on the web quite have it. I might be missing something obvious but replacing the dll's and renaming them doesnt seem to make a difference.

what did u install? all of the things I posted works on my touch 2.

Hi Rdelsol,
I've tried to install Voice Command and several other different .cabs and when I try to open/install the cab file absolutely nothing happens. I've tried double clicking it, tap and hold then Open but still nothing happens. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?
Phone is a Touch 2 T-Mobile UK.

redirect manila SMS to wm SMS

there was a modded manila file (47dd6acd_manila) for manila 2.1 that took you to wm threaded view instead of the laggy sense threaded view (when you clicked the window to reply it took you to wm sms thread) this file this no longer works on manila 2.5.
anyone know the name of the new file for manila 2.5? on 2.1 it was called 47dd6acd_manila
i know there are hacks that disabled sense sms but they are all dirty work-around with bugs and seems like it would be a lot simpler to just redirect to wm threaded view when a message is clicked on manila.
question is does anyone know the name of this file so it can be modified?

To be completely honest with you, I have a total of ZERO (0%) lag within HTC Messaging. Also, if you don't like the way HTC has organized their messaging services, simply disable them. But of course, you're already aware of that.
Using HTC Messaging without threaded conversations does take away from the generally "difficult to use" experiences. But as I said... at least in my experience, I don't have any lag.
Not to mention, I haven't soft reset my device in nearly 75 hours.

yes same for me, i want to redirect sms to manila with the microsoft sms and apply a skin a see beautiful skin "like iPhone" so i'm waiting...

Hi guys with some custom ROM i haven't got hard bug like now but now with the HyperROM by CleanEX i don't know what the problem. No i whant to do like tft

You need to find a way to successfully kill the messaging client before you can install his cab because otherwise it will not work.

do you know if this messaging client helps with the SMS loading lag (threaded with lots of messages)?
this is my BIGGEST issue with the HD2 and how it takes forever to properly reply to a SMS

The mod isn't an actual "Messaging Client". It's a mod for Sense.
If offers a number of features that the HTC Messaging Client doesn't:
1. Paged messaging system - Similar to WM threaded SMS where older SMS are moved to an "Older Messages" page. This helps increase loading speed SUBSTANTIALLY.
2. Has page navigation buttons so you can move to an older page to review messages sent and received.
3. Has built-in text size controls - You decide how large or small you want the text in the messaging window to appear.
4. Has offset speech bubbles - Adds a bit of eye candy to make messaging more enjoyable. Also has an option to turn these off if you like.
NOTES:
1. HTC Messaging Client MUST be removed or completely disabled/killed.
2. Arcsoft MMS is now required since the HTC Messaging Client used to handle MMS and is no longer available.

Try Version 2015 of Sense Messaging. Its not been released yet but you can ask in the thread for a cab. Believing rumours it should have GREATLY improved the loading of messages (instantly).

Make sure that you close HTCMessaging 100% before installing: Disable HTC Sense --> Reboot your phone --> Install the cab --> Reboot --> Activate HTC Sense

I like the look of the speech bubbles of kimi`s but I have stock rom and reading through the thread a few people are having issues, anyone know of any others with teh speech bubbles all in a simply cab file for stock 1.48

i can make the cab but i need to know where i need to copy files!
