Hello, I wanted to flash my MDA with newer mindows mobile and i got out of battery, now i get only a black screen, once time I god on the dislay "USB V1.0" and i try to hardmod the MDA and then i got only a black screen and cant start the device anymore, cam someone help me, maybe get a bootloader and show me how to get it on a SDcard and get my MDA compact back to work. Thanks a lot.

I tried to do the upgrade for the MDA Compact T-Mobile, but it was stuck and on the screen it was showing on the top SERIAL and on the bottom ver 1.0. So please help me out here!

I have a TMO SDA which I apparently got confused and thought was an HTC Typhoon last night rather than a Tornado.
I decided to follow some directions to upgrade the Typhoon to WM6, and after the first reboot (http://www.geocities.com/gggbitonti/typhoon.htm), all it does is turn on to this white screen and not do anything.
Is there any way to repair this or is it KIA?

Are you able to get into the bootloader mode.. Check by holding the camera button and connecting the USB. Please also mention what the screen says?? if it says tornado.. SPL 2.xxx something.. then its cool you can install a new system and your phone will be fine.. If not.. you are having a expensive paperweight...

No, nothing happens if I hold hte camera button and connect the USB cable. If i hit the power button it will just come up with a white screen - no messages. I let it sit for a couple hours like that and it was just a white screen the whole time.

My XDA Orbit 2 suffers from a malfunction on its start up, it loads with a white screen, I can not see the normal boot up screens. I have to wait until the green light flashes then tap the power button to put phone into standby then bring it back out again..
I was looking to flash the rom back to original state but I have no idea where to start..tried to do HardSPL but fails due as when it goes out of WM6 screen I can not see what it is doing..
Someone please help...

Please tell us which ROM u actually have. When flashed any cooked ROM before you only need to connect the phone via USB and flash the new one (or original).
More when u post more infos.

First I would like to specify that I am a Noob so please be patient with me!
I bought my XDA O2 Orbit 2 ridiculously cheap at my local cash converters "unlocked" according to their advertisement. When I bought it, it already had this white screen on boot but everything else worked so I bought it thinking that I would be able to fix it somehow. I have since upgraded it to the official O2 WWE 6.1 rom. I would like to put HardSPL on it and use cooked roms but obviously without being able to see the bootloader I can't do the HardSPL. Every now and then it will show the bootscreen properly and if I go to the device info app in settings all the radio numbers and everything is fine (no corrupted numbers). What is mtty, where can I download it, and will I be able to use this to fix it and how?
Any help would be great as I really do like this phone it's just an annoying little problem.

Please help me because my phone is not covered under warranty as I bought it secondhand.
I've fixed my white screen, not that I knew it was going to fix it.
I cracked the LCD of my phone at work, so I decided to fix it. In the process of swapping the LCD my white screen problem has gone.
I can't say exactly why it fixed it but I did notice that my original LCD had rounded corners and the new one has square corners. I suspect either a bad batch of screens or a bad connection.
I would like to point out that taking the phone apart will void your warranty and potentially damage it if you don't know what you're doing.
Not sure if this will be the fix for your problem but it worked for me.

I'm from Portugal and i bought 1 MDA Compact on TMobile. I Unlocked it with XDAdev v 1.6 and it works great in my network. After i done a stupid thing. I flash it with a wrong rom and it "Dead" . To recover i Reflash with a Jam_10605_169_10500 ship and it return to live. Now power on and let me calibrate stylus but when try to enter in the main screen apear a White Screen. I can manage and view all with Sync, but nothing more apear into Handset.Only a white screen. Can you help with this please.

Usually that's a sign that your LCD is broken. I've got one extra magician with exactly that same problem. Everything works but not the LCD, which seems to be dead. To confirm it, i've tested this "broken" magician with a good LCD and i can see everything...
I guess that you have done something extra besides only upgrading the ROM...

i have a problem with my i-mate jamin aka HTC prophet.
i have owned this phone for 3 years and everything was going ok, until a few days ago when i reset the phone the screen went completely white and constantly vibrated, eventually the phone battery died, and will not charge anymore.
is this a software problem? or hardware? i am totally comfortable opening it up if need be, i previously opened my old i-mate jam fixing the 2.5mm earphone jack.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
