There are so many cases to choose from. Could you recommend one that fits these requirements?
Transparent
Should not cover the three dock pins.
Not too thick so I can still use the google sleeve.
under $10, as most of them are under $5
If you own a case please let me know if it makes it harder to press the power button.
There are a bunch of "Skytouch" cases on meritline for <$4 shipped. Anyone have these?
http://www.meritline.com/newsearch.aspx?category=Cell+Phone+Case&SearchTerm=skytouch+nexus
I just got one from hand held items and the snap on are pieces of crap. I placed a screen protector on it and it made the protector bubble. Wont even snap close
I've been looking for a case as well and so far all I've found is basically junk.
Rubber TPU cases from dcmuggen on ebay are good wont fit in stock case all your gonna find that fit in the sleeve are skins and for those I recommend BSE http://www.bestskinsever.com/cell-phones/smart-phones/google-nexus-one-skin-1.html
Really though to meet your requirements a skin is your only choice if you want great protection though...
Then you cant go wrong here http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/csr3hnx1-bk.htm
Use code LOVE2010 will save you a couple bucks.
Thanks for the info NexVision.
I was looking at TPU...waiting for a plain transparent version without the check-box pattern.
BSE-- Is this just a scratch protector for the phone? The link above only shows a pic of the bare phone.
The seidio is nice but too expensive for me. $30.
BSE is a skin adheres directly to the phone almost like nothing is there just a thin plastic coating basically.
The TPU cases I as referring to where these http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300389191608&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
I bought the 5 pack since I have one my girl has one and my buddy has one.
The grey and black are the best IMO with the grey it matches the color of the phone and comes with a good screen protector as well.
Heres some pics of the cases http://picasaweb.google.com/nexvision/Cases?feat=directlink
Since then I got my black one in also and I like it. the red sticker comes right off and the empty space lines right up with the HTC on the back of the phone.
If strictly under $10 you really are looking for some junky stuff.
I mean I have always heard about the almost arriving seidio case that i ordered.
and currently use this one which I'm very pleased with the build quality, fit & accessibility of the phone itself:
http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10100000_11000561_11000885&products_id=28070
genuinely pleased, hope i will like my seidio when it arrives too
I got a silicone case. It fits the N1 perfect and would protect it pretty good from a drop.

OK, so snap on cases are out.
Leaning towards the grey TPU case now.

I'm looking for a snap on case, my friend had on on her iphone, and it had a plastic screen protector built in it it was a back and front and they clicked together... it was a good one because she dropped that phone all the time it was clear.. Anyone know what I'm talking about and where to find one?

I got the case from PDair too. Before I use the product from PDair,I try one from ebay, but the quality seems too worse so, I prefer to buy one in high quality but with higher price.
Right now I have a Otterbox Commuter Series for my Desire its a good slim case for protection but sometimes I wanna switch yo something a little more stylish. Does anyone have any suggestions? If so leave a link to where I can find the case.
HTC Desire
This is what i use in conjunction with a martin fields screen protector.
http://www.gelaskins.com/store/skins/phones/HTC_Desire/Hulk_SMASH
Works brilliantly and stops the phone from being a black brick
I use a case that simply covers the back, edges and corners. It's hard to describe and I can't post an outside link to show, but it basically hugs the edges and corners of the phone, so that it only covers the sides and back.
Mine's crystal clear (I have a decal on my battery cover that I like to be able to see), and these protect the edges and corners without being too bulky. My clear one also provides protection for the decal.
Go custom - get a Casemate slim case and add some stickers / decals to it. I got a few Android stickers from ebay and added them to a Casemate.

Totally agree. This case saved my desire 3 times already (hopefully it didnt fall on the screen side, thanks to the weight difference of the upper part of the phone ).
I've had my desire for over a year now. When I first bought it, I searched ebay for a gel case and some screen protectors. The Gel case only covers the sides and back. The protectors were stuck on and did their job until they were too scratched. Then they inhibit the touch screen function - I noticed this when the screen protectors were so badly scratched it was becomming difficult to see the screen. Since I'm too cheap to buy another £2 batch lot of protectors I've left it off for about 3 months now. There is not a single scratch on the screen.
Also the gel case has provided a very good protection for the rest of the phone. The gel case was shipped from Hong Kong and cost around £5 including shipping. A colleague even found one cheaper. I don't know how they make stuff so cheap over there but the phone is as good as the day it came out of the box.
Just ordered a custom skin from Skinit. It won't offer the amount of protection as my Otterbox but it will stop it from scratching up and add some customization to my device.

I had a flip leather case but it was a bit inconvenient having to open the cover all the time even though it protected the screen so I got different one similar to the ones people use a lot on iPhones, it covers the back and sides but leaves the screen free. I got them on eBay cos it's cheap and there are LOADS to choose from!
i got the PDair leather case, 18.99 on ebay, works great.
I use the htc mobile case:

I second this. Nokia issued pouches with E66 too. Especially since I don't consider price of this plus shipping costs dirt cheap either.
i used a black back cover meshed bought on netimes.com. On this site I bought also an android neoprene pouch
I have been use the Casemate barely there - which is a great case. But it doesnt protect the top of the phone along where the power button is.
I tend to stick my phone in my pocket and I think my keys over time have scraped the top a bit, with tiny nicks out of phone.
But it has saved my phone a couple of times when I dropped it!
I'm also using Casemate Barely There, real happy with it. A friend of mine has the Casemate Tough Case, it's a bit thicker but does offer a bit more protection.

I would recommend Melkco HTC Desire leather case from Amazon. It's stylish designed and protects well of the entire phone with genuine cowhide leather flip cover as well as the hard leather back cover without blocking the ports, camera. I bought one from them and am very satisfied with the quality and the look.

I bought a Jaka Melko too... so SOPHISTICATED (all hand made)! And very protective. I drop from waist height last week, no scratch at all, phone and leather.
Plus, I have a hard gel case, and the Melkco is exactly the same size, no bulk.
Maybe a little bit expensive (28~30 USD free shipping), but worth all pennies, and it really smells leather when opening box.
Trident has the aegis case up on their website for G2x. They only seem to have it in blue and green right now though.
Ordered a green one- will let you know, maybe get some pics up.
Also Fortte supposedly has a leather case in the works, but no details on it. I decided I wanted the ability to use the phone after I had a previous bookstyle case for a blackjack. That was a pain to make a call on.
Like the way it looks but also looks bulky?
Review and pictures would be appreciated.
http://www.tridentcase.com/product_67_92.html
It seems to be available in Black, Blue, Green, Pink and Red now. I am eager to hear how you like the case once you get it.
just from looking at the picture it looks gigantic i dun think its for everyone, more for like outdoor ppl or ppl who always break there phone. But it does look solid but could be better. They should make a slimmer version of the case.
Hey, these looks great!
I might pick up one while I wait for an otter-box, if they ever come around.

It's definitely going to add bulk to it. I have the Aegis for the myTouch 4G. It's bulky but provides very good protection for your phone.
Edit: If you guys are not in a hurry I would suggest waiting for this case to become available at CyclopsCase.com. I think they are a distributor for Trident cases. They are $10 cheaper. That's where I bought my Aegis case and it was shipped for free too.
just ordered the green. I have been a fan of the trident cases for a long time, the cases are top, top quality and offer amazing protection. I had a cyclops on my old MT4G and it was a beast, the Aegis does not look as bulky, but i am sure it will protect very well. I will post pics when it arrives.
The green and red one looks nice. I want to get one later on.
Review of Trident Aegis case for G2x (green)
$30 for case and screen protector
Bought this case to get corner and drop protection- I chose this over a Tech21 Nexus S slip case or a fortte leather case (not released yet) or PDair case because with the touchscreen, I didn't want to have to remove it, use it, put it back in. I wanted quick out of pocket check of email/calendar, back into pocket. I had a book style case (pdair) with an older blackjack II, and I hated the flap front cover when I wanted to make a call.
Shipping was fast via USPS, however I didn't get the screen protector in the box for some reason- the tape did not look neat, so I can't say if it got opened and pilfered in transit. I still have the OEM film protector that came with it, so I will just wait for a new ship of the screen protector from Trident customer service and have that as a backup.
Inner silicone is smooth- doesn't feel tacky to the touch at all so I don't think it will attract dust/lint like other more rubbery silicone. Hard polycarbonate is also smooth, though it doesn't feel like hard plastic that will chip, so that is good. I was worried about Seido as they have many forum posts about corners and tabs breaking. This doesn't feel like it will chip or break away unless I purposefully snapped it.
The final fit is good- it isn't super snug like some of the trident iPad and iPod reviews suggest. It isn't looks- it fits well, and I feel like I could get it apart without hassle to pull the battery if I wanted to.
Ports are covered with silicone tabs- volume and power work well- you have to give a little push since it is below the silicone. Tabs fit right below the hard polycarbonate to keep the in place. Micro USB cable plugs in well- the only port I may have to get an extender with is the 3.5 mm headphone jack since i have an L shaped jack instead of straight jack. It would have to fit with the L portion pushing out over the tab (think due south if looking straight at jack) and couldn't fit at any other angle out (north/west/east), but I think the extender that Trident has (which wasn't in stock when I ordered) would be the best option. Ill probably get something from Amazon or monoprice.
Camera holes and proximity sensor are holes- no plastic covering them, which is fine with me.
Fit in pocket (for a guy) is fine- it doesn't really add much unnecessary bulk. Width is about 11/16 of an inch, height is about 4 and 14/16. Phone/case is about as thick as my older BlackJack II without its case, so I am fine with it.
Overall I am happy with it. I can't say anything about the screen protector until I get a replacement, but I won't be using it until the OEM one peels off. I've never held an Otterbox so I can't compare quality, but frankly I don't think the O'box would be much different in quality. Or at least to justify waiting/pleading with them to get a case out for the G2x. I think it works for my needs- if I had decided on a leather case, I probably would have either gone with the Tech21 Nexus S (same dimensions) or waited to see what Fortte came out with, since Noreve and Sena are too expensive. I wish it was $20-$25, but I can see some of the engineering that went into it so I'm not too worried about the price.
Pros-
Nice non tacky silicone and polycarbonate shell.
Ports are covered but can be accessed.
Camo green is a nice green
Fit is secure but not too tight that I can't take it out.
Cons-
Wish they had more colors for the silicone (would have done a black poly shell with orange silicone to go with my company colors). They have this for the iPhone and a few others.
3.5 mm port likely needs an extender for L-shaped headphone jacks
Screen protector missing, but that may be a problem during shipping. Am not too worried about CS helping me out with this one.
Wish it would have cost $5 less, but it had free shipping, so evens out in the end.

Just got the blue one, this is def the best case around.....just as good as a otterbox
FYI- Trident replied to my inquiry about the screen protector, and said that the case does not come with one- it was an error during the first few days of creating the store entry. So don't expect one with the case.
Just received mine in the mail today. 3 days flat which is good going. I got the green and black and could not be happier. The rubber surround is very thick and offers a lot of protection, it will definitely protect against a serious drop.
The back of the case is a hard plastic, but it has a great rubber texture to it.
For the price you cannot go wrong. I have always used trident cases on my phones and have never been disappointed and the same goes for this case. I highly recommend it
Got mine today. I to went with the green. This is a great case I'm very pleased with it. I wish they would make one of there other series that have the screen cover but I asked on facebook an was told there is no plans on making any other series at this point

My take on Trident case
Shipping was really fast. I ordered on Monday and got it in yesterday. I got the red/black one for my G2x, and pink/black Aegis case for the Samsung Galaxy S 4g for my lady. Was really impressed with the build, the grip, and especially the tabs that cover the ports. At first I was totally happy with the size...until I put my girl's on. The design of her case was made to keep her phone both protected and without adding too much bulk to it. I admit I was jealous at first, but that all changed once my phone and case was tested. My phone got thrown about 3 feet from my really high bed, onto my really hard tiled floor. Was worried, but the case did its job. Had it not been for the design of the case, my phone would of been totaled. It really helped protecting the G2x. Overall satisfaction is at it's highest. Definitely recommend this case to anyone wanting to protect their phone without worrying too much about size. Hope this post helps

Just ordered the black one from ebay. $23 shipped... not bad.
After heavy research I decided to try this brand out. I've never owned a Trident case before but as far as protection goes, this looks like the best case out for the g2x.
We shall see!
Had a Cyclops for my vibrant ordered a blue one yesterday shipped out today. If the case in n e thing like my Cyclops for my vibrant I will be happy with it.

I just picked one up from ebay myself...ordered the blue for $21 and change with free shipping...expected delivery will be the 24-25th. I figure it will be nice to have something like this for when I'm out doing recreation, and keep my seidio for business and nightlife.
I'm using the RF one from BestBuy. I'm thinking of getting a cheap rubber one and seeing if I can cram the RF one in for actual protection lol. I'm curious, what are you using?
I just ordered one for my sons triumph on Amazon..its a rubberized plastic black one I do believe.. should be in sometime this week. Didn't really like the one from best buy & had a hard time finding a decent one because none of the ones I found shipped until the 15th but they're all pretty much the same.. and only like $6 or $7 bucks plus shipping. Probably not the best but its better than nothing...
I bought one of those $6 black silicone cases from eBay and I'm very happy with it. The power button is easier to press now and I don't accidentally hit the volume buttons all the time (though they're also easier to press when i need them.) I didn't have to cut anything like some people have reported, as all the mic/speaker/led holes are in their proper places. Quality is about on par with the [much more expensive] Marware case I have my old iPod in.
I don't like cases so I ordered a neoprene pouch off ebay.. it looks exactly like the one for the nexus one if you know what that looks like.. good to protect the phone when it's in my pocket

I went ahead and slurged for the Rocket Fish case over the weekend, pretty happy with it: nice, tight fit and adds very little bulk to the phone. The phone still fits in my leather belt pouch. The case rounds out the Triumph's corners and gives the phone a surer grip. I am much more comfortable carrying my $300 phone around now and I'm very glad I bought the case.
I still wish that Otterbox would come out with a case for us, but the Rocket Fish will do for now.
Motorola Triumph Rubberized Hard Protector Case - Smoke Diagonal Checker
I can't post a link due to me being a new member but search " Motorola Triumph Rubberized Hard Protector Case - Smoke Diagonal Checker " on Amazon.
I received the shipment on time as the order said it would. I opened the mail package to find a very sturdy case with a comfortable soft touch with a bit of grip. Not too much grip that will make it grip to anything; additionally, exactly enough comfort to feel durable and comfortable at the same time. I expected a cheap plastic case with no grip. I am very surprised from the seller on such a great price and product quality. Highly recommend this to first time buyers, or to whom loves their phone enough to spend $4 on keeping the phones appearance and quality at a high rate. Kudo's to the seller. =]

Mine was only $3 and i really like it. Easy to take off, really sticky and protective.
I bought two cases off amazon, both of the same brand from different sellers. The transparent smoke plastic case is crap. The black plastic is very nice, it feels stiff, it's just tacky enought to give it a good grip but not stick in your pocket, and its got a bit of springiness to it. Not bad for 5 clams. I'm sure an otterbox would be a lot nicer and tougher, but spending 40 bucks on a case to protect a 220 dollar phone? No.

I use the Rocket Fish case. I have dropped the phone like 15 times, and the phone is still fine. All the case seems to do is prevent cosmetic damage. The phone is solid as, excuse the pun, a brick.
I am using a cheap black silicone rubber case I found on eBay.
iPhone Trash
I am so sick of ipone this, iphone that. Everybody makes sweet cases for the iphone but leave out the android guys for some reason. Can't these manufacturers think outside of the apple bullcrap. I guess not, that's why android users are stuck with cheap lazer printed plastic junk that wears off within a few days of handling the case. Oh well, I am still a happy android user. till next time.

the thing is, with iPhone's they only have to make 1 to 2 depending on how they make the cutouts (since cdma and gsm versions have a bit different button placement). With android there are 30+ phones for every version of the iPhone. And prepaid carriers usually don't get the best of the cases... At least zagg makes screen protectors for every or near every recent android phone. It would be nice if they made a case for each phone, but that doesn't happen.
I have a pretty good case on my Triumph, it's a snap on but it's durable & don't look bad either.
Honestly, I've been using mine without any kind of case, and it's great! I've owned several phones and an Ipod touch before this that were awful without cases due to the shells being slippery, but the Triumph has a grippy rubberized exterior that feels great in the hand. Unless you drop your phone a lot, I wouldn't bother with a case.
I got a Fosman hard rubberized for like 3 bucks shipped from ebay. Great case for the money and like previously posted a 40 buck otterbox on a $220 phone is a bit of overkill.
I use the Black (Argyle Interior) TPU Crystal Silicone Case Cover For Motorola Triumph on for about 5 bucks. I have dropped the phone a few times and have no dings or scratches anywhere. It is thin enough to not affect the size of the phone and does it's job. I would recommend it over the silicone cases or even the snap on cases.
Whatever one is the cheapest at any online retailer. I would not buy one for .01, mind you, as those are most likely scams! But anything from a reliable retailer at a low price (I replace my generic ones every couple of months).
I am awaiting my order for the SGP Hybrid-Neo and I'll see how it performs when I receive it.
While waiting for the Spigen case to arrive, I've been looking around for other protective cases with a minimum of material, meaning I'd like the lowest profile protection possible, which Protects the S4. Not a minimalistic case which offers the minimalist of protection, because that defeats the reason I'm getting the case in the first place.
I came across this site which has, in their opinion, the top 15 cases:
http://www.techradar.com/us/news/ph...sung-galaxy-s4-case-15-to-choose-from-1149624
The WorkMate Evolution case peaked my interest, so I took a look at their site over here:
http://www.cygnett.com/smartphone/smartphone-samsung/samsung-galaxy-s4.html?___store=world
I watched their video, and it looked fine, but I'm not impressed by demonstration videos in general, especially ones demonstrated by the designer r/manufacturer of the item I'm purchasing, as there is a possibility of bias
It is 'Real World Usage' that counts, whether the video is accurate or not. I gotta check out the item for myself.
With the above being said, the description of the product and the concept appears that the end result would be a well made case of minimalistic construction with adequate protection.
I did some research and have found complaints about:
- the usb port fitment, the hole not being large enough. I watched the video and in the comment section it has been said that this issue has been resolved by the manufacturer with the updated cases, so I'm not too concerned about this issue as it appears to have been resolved.
- stiffness of power/volume buttons
I have sent an email to Cygnett, and I look forward to receiving their response.
I'll be ordering this case from Newegg, as they have very good shipping times and Return/Refund Policies with No return fees, including 45 days to return the item.

Amazon Update:
The Cygnett WorkMate Evolution case now Ships from and is Sold by Amazon::good:
http://www.amazon.com/Cygnett-CY1194CXWOR-WorkMate-Case-Galaxy/dp/B00BXL7VKM
I'l let you know what I think of the Cygnett when I receive and use the case, including the response from Cygnett.
I just picked up my Cygnett WorkMate in Bright Blue color.
These are my first impressions, as I've only been using it for 2 hours:
1) nicely packaged in a clamshell as other cases are coming in these days.
2) after removing the WorkMate from its packaging, I was impressed with the build quality, and I really liked the color scheme.
3) the 2 part case came assembled, and the S4 'snapped in' quickly and snugly.
4) once the S4 was wearing it's new protection, I was like, 'this is some nice protection' and that I was confident, if dropped, my S4 had a good chance of surviving unscathed.
5) I felt that the WorkMate offers some real nice protection in a very minimalist format.
6) the protective lip surrounding the screen rises nicely above it and appears that it will offer nice protection with lip height to spare for a glass protector.
6) the power and volume buttons do have a stiff feeling to them, but once you get used to it in a short bit, it's not a problem at all. I would say that with use, the buttons will most likely give a little.
7) the usb port was a hair too small lengthwise for the head of the stock usb cable to fit into. After 40s of the minimalist of quick scraping of the 2 sides, the usb head fit perfectly. Can't tell any mod was even done.
I'll see how it goes using this case, as I just received it. I must say that I am impressed with its style, construction and perceived protection and durability in a minimalist form factor.
I say perceived because I just received the case
I have the same case in black. I like it a lot apart from the problem you mentioned with the usb cutout ... just got around to scraping the sides with a blade for a minute or so and now it's a perfect fit.
In terms of protection, I think the YouTube video pretty much speaks volumes about the effectiveness of these cases ... the phone survives a ten foot drop. I've dropped mine once from about four foot and there was no issue whatsoever.

This case is definitely a keeper. I've never used a case prior to this and the SPG Neo Hybrid. The reason being I didn't like weighing down and bulking up what is an otherwise light, thin, flat phone such as the S4, the S3, the S2 or whichever other device that slides into my pocket.
But when I dropped my S3 from about a foot onto concrete a couple of months ago, and the screen fractured, I was like, this is bs. But then the time wasted on trying to get a replacement from Asurion, who sent me a defective outta the box refurbished S3, I started looking for cases for the S4. The SGP is going back due to sagging of the neoprene after 3 days, in addition to it offering very little protection, but my S4 will be sporting the WorkMate.
I haven't applied my SGP Glas.tR Slim as of yet, and I'm thinking about whether I'm going to or not. It would add additional weight, and unless I drop my S4 and it hits the corner of something, I feel the WorkMate will protect the screen from most drops without having to add the glass screen protector. Plus I do have insurance. I gotta give it a little more thought.

I'm wearing a screen protector to guard against scratches. The workmate will protect against most face down drops onto a flat surface. It's rocks and stones which are the only thing you need to fear with this case and I doubt any screen protector and few if any cases can protect you if you drop your phone onto a sharp, pointy rock.

Hopefully I won't drop my S4 into a rock or edge of something that will bypass the protection of the WorkMate and damage the screen, if I choose not to install the glass protector. But Murphys Law will probably apply
I figure the WorkMate will protect the S4 under most circumstances, and in those instances where it may not, I have the insurance.
Sorry to keep posting repeatedly but I'm so stoked about this case. Overjoyed in fact. Most cases add to much bulk or provide too little protection. This bad boy provides excellent protection without adding significant bulk and as a bonus the textured back makes the phone much easier to hold on to.
I'm usually a bit of a case whore and change often but this time I'm staying put. The only other case that's really caught my eye is the Griffon Survivor. I'll probably end up getting that once is available just for those occasions where I really need the maximum protection. The rest of the time I'll be rocking my Cygnet Workmate.

Post away, like I seem to be doing
It seems that the Cygnett doesn't get a lot of publicity, at least in the USA.
I'm sure that is not the case in New Zealand, as the company a in Australia.
In addition to the possible lacking of advertisement, getting the case can be an issue for some.
Amazon has a couple of sellers, but it is not Sold and/or Shipped directly from Amazon. One seller appear to be overseas and can take over 20 days to receive, and the other Seller has a 15% penalty for Returns. Amazon only shows a few reviews for the case which means sales are low. The aforementioned may be some of the reasons for the lack of sales via Amazon. I purchased the WorkMate from Newegg, which is where I suggest others, at least in the USA to purchase from. Even Newegg has no reviews.
As mentioned, I wasn't a case guy, but this case changed my mind about cases.
It just screams out Protection in a very minimalist format. Hey, they have it in Blue which I couldn't resist
Update:
Is this the other case you mentioned?
http://store.griffintechnology.com/survivor-skin-for-samsung-galaxy-s4
The case has a nice look to it, and although it seems to offer more coverage to the top and bottom of the S4 screen, I don't know if it offers better protection than the WorkMate overall. The price of $18 is cheap enough, but I don't know the quality of the case. Once in hand, a better determination can be made.

You can just walk into your local chain store and pick up the cygnet cases here. Surprised me ... they don't normally have the best cases. The salesman preached the virtues of the case, I believed him and luckily he was calling it straight.
You've linked the survivor skin, I'm waiting for the survivor.
http://store.griffintechnology.com/survivor-with-belt-clip-for-samsung-galaxy-s4
The skin is to the survivor what the Otterbox commuter is to the Defender. Basically the survivor is the Defender done right. I've heard that the Defender has clips on the phone case which mate to the belt holster and that these clips can smash off in a fall. No such design flaw on the survivor and it has padded flaps to cover all the ports and the camera. Had one on my s3, it added a lot of size to the phone but man that thing felt indestructible.
I don't need that kind of protection every day but there are still occasions where I really want that assurance that my phone has the utmost protection.

Thanks. I'll take a good look at it later, as I gotta get some shut eye
I read the description and it definitely looks like an anti-destrutive case with those listed specs.
Much easier for sure to get the Cygnett where you are. They definitely have a larger customer base there.
LOL, I was stupid to purchase a case at tmobile store cost me 30 buck. Question, I have a white S4 they don't have survivor in white?

I just found this for you:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zcv9mCVIB-c&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Btw, I'm extremely satisfied with my WorkMate, even though I haven't dropped my S4 as of yet
But as I mentioned previously, this case is very well built, and I feel confident it'll protect my S4 in case of any unfortunate drops
Btw, you mentioned the Survivor.
If you're referring to the Cygnett, it's the Evolution.
If your referencing the T-Mobile case, I'm not familiar with it.
4 week follow up
Well, it's been about 4 weeks since I took possession of the Cygnett WorkMate Evolution case in Bright Blue and:
- the case looks as good as it did the first day I received it* (see below)
- the case fits as well as the first day. There is nothing that will stretchout, etc.
- *the light Grey back, when you hold it at an angle to the light, you can see certain areas where there is a slight lightness to the Grey, but only at certain angles. The cause is most likely from natural oils in the skin, as the slight blemish ocurrs where you hold the phone the most.
- I have not dropped the phone as of today, and don't expect to, but if I do, I'm confident that the phone will be very much protected
- although the case adds slight bulk to the S4, as the S4 is so very slim and light without the case, it fits comfortably in my front pocket, and my pants are not of the baggy variety
And there you have it.
My overall rating of this case is 9.8/10 (due to the very hard to notice blemish)
I highly recommend it to those who are looking for excellent protection for their S4, in a minimalist form factor.
This is a case that when you see it, hold it and put your S4 in it, you will be confident that your S4 will be very well protected.
I've updated the op to reflect the fact that the Cygnett case is now Sold by and Ships from Amazon:

Here is an update regarding the discoloration of the Grey back of the case:
I've just taken a couple of pics tonight of the discoloration that the medium grey material has sustained. While it doesn't affect the protectiveness of the case, it does affect the aesthetics.
The discoloration of the case has occurred where my hand/fingers grip the back of the case the most.
When the Cygnett was my edc, the discoloration gradually occurred over the course of approx. 6 weeks. It looked great when it was new, but not that great after only a month and a half.
I just sent an email to Cygnett 's US office regarding this issue. I'm hoping this issue is just an exception, but if it's a material flaw, hopefully it has been resolved.

Update:
I didn't receive a response to my email so I called the phone number for Cygnett's US office.
Spoke with a very nice rep, and explained my issue.
She is sending out a replacement shell, and gave me her personal email address.
I sent her my shipping info, and she responded that she just shipped out the replacement.
Excellent customer service:good:

I've had mine for about 2 month and the colors are still fine.

The gray backing has a wear patten on mine.
I took a closer look and in between the tiny raised bumps, the material is worn, which creates the 'discolored' look pattern which is more perceptible at certain angles.
Still a case which appears to offer excellent protection, although I haven't dropped mine yet .
