Backlight dimm and lock screen

Hi
i'm running wm6.5 on my raphael and i've got a problem:
when the screen is automatically locked, the screen dimm to save power. fine
but even if i unlock it, the screen is keeped dimmed.
i have to press the power button to get the screen bright again
i've found in Advanced config in the screen section an option: "Backlight lock level " but when i try to change it, after a soft reset, the value is not saved...
is there a fix?

Check to see if your backlight is set to auto adjust in your Power settings.

there is a bug in WM6.5... autolock and/or the auto dim is causing this problem(for me too)... i disabled autolock, and the problem's gone...
use S2U2 or something else

yep but i've got some problem with the last version of s2u2... i wasn't able to answer

i asked the same question few days ago in teh NRG rom thread - basically it was suggested to me to use a different program other than adv config to setup the autolock - searchn the forum for an app called 'Smartlock' - ive installed version 1.6 and it seems to work
only thing is it ignores slideshows (i.e. will dim and lock while viewing slideshow), slightly annoying but no biggy

App to turn off the device (without pressing any hardware button)

Hi everyone,
Do you know any free application that allows the user to turn off the device without pressing any hardware button (just like you do on a real PC) ?
Maybe is it possible to do it with WM 6.5 ?

I'm using NRG's rom and it has got a backlight program (I think it's standard for wm 6.1/5). Open the program and click on menu, there you can click on SCREEN OFF. The screen will then turn off.

Thanks for the answer but I'm not searching for an app to turn off the screen but to turn the whole phone off.
Can you you think of any app compatible with the diamond 2 ?

Oh ok...yes no problem.
Try this application, works very well. Just install it and when you click on it, it will turn off your phone.

Or you could try this app - its a 12 button action screen which includes a button to turn off the phone - very useful and works great on topaz phones

Although a standard lockScreen during call I´m still pressing these two buttons on the screen with my face . Any solutions, like turn of screen during call, or something else?

[Q] s2u2, hard answer key and screen rotate

I have s2u2 installed in my htc touch2 and also done a registry hack to rotate the screen but lately I have been facing a problem. Whenever I press the hard answer key to rotate the screen S2u2 locks the screen instead of the screen getting rotated. i have changed all possible settings in s2u2 but nothing works. Can someone pls help me? Thanks

req. shake to screen on

Hey guys im looking for an app alternative screen on. everytime iwanna turn screen on i need to press power buton (motorols defy mini) is it posible to shake phone and make screen on wiith it? or move it to diferent hsrdware button? like i press foto button annd screen willturn on? i know that exists tap tap but it need proximiti senzor always turned on which drains battery. pls make an app shake to screen on.

So, what happens when the phone shakes in your pocket?

even if such an app existed. it would be a battery hog, and wont let the phone sleep.

I think widget locker allows you to use the volume keys instead.

There will be an app called "smart screen on" made by this developer, ddeleted.

And you will turn the screen on by weaving ur hand on the sensor...i tested his beta and worked very well. No more power or any other hardware button.
Not sure when it will be uploaded in google play but maybe u would want to PM him...
