Hi guys, please help.
Over the past few days, I have been unable to reply to emails and text messages by clicking on the REPLY buttons. In Outlook email, when I click to reply to a message, it takes meback to the message preview view, where you cant reply.
When I try to reply to a text message by clicking on Reply, it takes me to the messaging window where i am asked to select between SMS/MMS, Outlook Email, and Setup Email. If I click on SMS and am taken to the SMS inbox, clicking on Reply from within there doesnt work either. Clicking on Menu--> Reply, or Menu --> Reply all yields no discernible change from the screen, and no reply.
I am on a Rhodium and running |R|6.5.5|ROM|WWE| ★ Energy "Leo" 23541/21892 |Feb 26| ★ Sense 2.5.2012 / MaxManila ★ , which has been awesome so far.
Anyone have any idea what the heck is going on? Thanks so much!
Mine is doing this too, on a stock ROM.
Hi,
Mine is doning this same thing. I swapped out my sim card into an iphone for about a month, but now I'm back to the Tilt2. My symptoms are just like yours. Did you ever find a fix?

is there a way to have the vox display the date and time messages were received? Either a setting on the phone or a programme I can install?

A friend of mine who used to have a SE phone asked me the same question.
Unfortunately couldn't find an answer. Doesn't seem to be a built in functionality. I found also references in forums with people asking how this could be done (by developing an addin)... Guess someone willing to develop it has some future ahead
Ka.
Thanks for the reply. It just seems like such a basic thing i don't understand why MS would leave it out.

While in messages applications. Go to options. There should be something to check if you want to see the date and time of message arrivals. If that doesnt work, try the other way: when you read the specific message, click up on joystick one or two times. There should be all necessary info.
Try FlexMail 2007 from WebIS (www.webis.net). It isn't that cheap, at $30, but it is much better than the supplied applications. I was introduced to it because I found that deleting on the Vox also deletes on my IMAP server even when it shouldn't!
Hope this helps!
Select Text Messages or an e-mail account. Go to Menu->Tools->Options->Display and Check Show date and time in the message list
The option _is_ there.
Open an SMS message and press on the UP button.
I was talking about "Received by the recipient", actually the delivered timestamp.
Meaning:
I send a message, I have the delivered notification. Ok. Now I would like being able to open the Sent message and see on it when the recipient has received it or still pending delivery. I can do it checking everytime if I have a Delivered note but would be better having everything at the same place.
Ka.
what about call history, any ideas?
activate the delivery report.
When you recieve it, open it and go up with with you jojstick to se the time. the sent time of the report is the recieving time of the sms at the reciepent.
Sup guys
Second day with the new touch pro, lovin it. Theres a few things that are bugging me, though. When I send a text, it places a copy in my Inbox like: Me: Message
It clutters up my inbox a ton, but is it necessary for threaded messaging to work?
Also, if I go to hit the compose button on TF3D, and rotate the screen before the actual text box comes up (5 seconds later) then the ****ty 8 button landscape view will come up and screw up my message. Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks guys
Joe
Just wanna know if everyone deals with this.
Everyone have their sent SMS's in their inbox?

you can change threaded mode to normal.then you have recieved messages in your inbox and sent in sent items.but i think you know this already.if you want to use threaded mode this is something you heve to live with
or check out this software http://iwindowsmobile.com/threaded-sms-messaging.html .it is not free but could help you keep threaded mode.try trial first and see if you like it.
Hi All,
I have 2.1 official ROM with win 6.5 and this is to ask you, why I have to click on "request message delivery notification" every sms i want to write (of course I want to know if recipient got my message). In older ROM I had notifications every sent sms without clicking on each ....
Thanks
Hi there,
i had this same problem but there is a simple way to activate this; its just a bit hidden
Go to Messages - All Messages - Menu - Tools - Options and tap *SMS / MMS
You should have Request delivery notifications
Hope its clear
Cheers
P.S. This is my first post so i hope i'm not doing it wrong or something
Hi,
many thanks for your replay. Now it is marked. I hope notifications will arrive.
Cheers
...and i've noticed something else about the delivery notification:
i dont receive the notification if the SMS is sent from the "activity history tabs". (the place after you open a contact and tap the SMS tab -showing all SMS's with that contact ).
so this might apply to your WM as well.
I had same problem with older ROM.... Then I have never sent sms from this "position"
I searched all through the new tael rom thread and was unable to find a solution to my problem.
I love the look of sense 2.5 but I am having two issues with text messaging.
One, If I am on the text messaging tab and create a new message It doesn't auto fill the recipient name and doesn't seem to grab any info from my contact list. If I select add receipient it takes me to a blank search people field with none of my contacts listed. The only way I can send a text message is to go phone>contacts>send msg or reply to one that is sent to me.
Two, when I am in landscape mode trying to reply to an sms the send button is off the screen. This I can live with as I know not everything has been ported over the VGA but the first complaint is really an issue.
Thanks in advance.
Ben

1. Texting is weird and a pain. This is due to the new, stupid, built in htc messaging app Jataayu made for HTC. Unfortunately it's a necessary evil with Manila 2.5. Either use the 'disable' cab found in this thread to disable it and use the built in WinMo pocket outlook to SMS (ink in post #1) or use Pyrorob's Contact Picker and Shared Resource CABs.

Does anyone know if its possible for the HTC email preview app to show messages as read in notification icon on bottom, once you flicked through messages - as its possible in SMS preview?
How stupid of HTC to have overlooked this !

Hear, hear! I agree totally. This drives me nuts.
Can't one of you modders or theme developers fix this, rather than just concentrating on re-jigging the home screen visuals??

Yes this was one of the features I was most happy about in my HTC S740 (with WM6.1). I was able to preview and dismiss individual e-mail notifications from both exchange and other e-mail accounts. And I was even able to tell notifications from Exchange apart from other Email accounts.
The HTC Sense is a huge step back here...
The small green circle in the bottom is only telling how many unread messages there are in my inboxes. Not useful - should have shown how many new mails which have not been previewed.
Anybody know of any notification application that might help?
I want one 2, to bad I aint a winmo developer:/.
I posted the same question here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=626627
Although its not fixed - there is a semi-decent solution available! Take a look

Yes it is a good try... but marking all emails as read will (in exchange) also mark the emails as read on the server. Other users with access to the same mailbox will accidentally believe, that someone is taking action on the "read"-marked mail.
And that includes me as well. Often I preview an email on the phone and then decides to not take action on it and wait until I am sitting with my work pc. If it is marked as read I could accidentally think, that I had already attended to the email.
WM 6.1 and WM 6.5 can natively dismiss new emails - but keep the emails unread. Why can't HTC Sense do that?
