so what do i have to do???
please help, im dying to try out 6.5 on my phone for sprint cdma
i suppose its not an obligation to "donate", at least if i see my phone in a colorful new rom i may do so but geez.
if someone tries to unlock a phone on a pc or ip address that has already unlocked a phone, then the phone will be flagged and won't be able to be unlocked on any pc. if this is not the case and you have a new phone (not refurbished and possibly flagged by someone else), and you have not unlocked any other phone, then you may be able to pm cmonex and ask her to "unflag" it. otherwise, just donate the 4 pounds (like $6) they are asking and you will be gold. i had to donate recently b/c my screen quit working and sprint replaced it for me. i couldn't wait a day to go to my friend's pc and unlock it, so i just donated and no i can unlock another phone if i break this one good luck
alright! im going to donate i dont have a choice
after you donated, were you able to unlock?

I propose that we contact HTC with an open letter informing them of the Microsoft decision and asking them if they had a hand in it, and if they would in fact be willing to intervene in some way to enable us to continue distributing the ROMs.
also, I suggest someone tell Microsoft of the petition; it's got over 4000 signatures but I bet they don't even know it's there.
Man, I can't help thinking this forum might do best by keeping a low profile.
If HTC, MS, OEM or Telco reps were to read some of the posts here they might be pretty horrified.
Just some samples of the things I have read...
> got the SA problem on my Hermes so I need to send it to HTC for repair.
I CID unlocked it.
How do I lock it back ?
Has anybody sent it to HTC with super-CID and "got away with it"?
> I hate to tell you this but this is what happened to me. As far as I can tell if you Super CIDed it your best bet is to send it in to be fixed. In my case I just RMAed it as a doa due to the fact that I had just got it that day.
> Just sent my x01ht in to the service center near my house. I just told them that I flashed it with their new rom and it destroyed my phone. They will get back to me in 2 weeks, hopefully.
cross my fingers I don't have to pay for the repairs
> I'd love any help in fixing it till I get the RMA from the place I got it from (Imported it to the US)
> If you don't want to spend 4 or 5 hours reading this thread and the wiki, then go and send your phone to repair under warranty or use it as a paperweight, it will save you a lot of headaches and we could spend our time with other things.
> Is there a possibility to get it going or do I take it in for repair (hopefully under warranty).
> I had my Charmer, which is CID unlocked and SIM unlocked (which I tried to SIM locked it back, and I think I did), sent to HTC in UK for a speaker (once) and a motherboard (another time) problems. They changed the thing for me without mentioning anything about the CID unlocked. I did change my ROM back to the original one though.
IMHO
True, that. CID unlocked and user-flashing is a dirty word in any carrier outside of SEA. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD MESSAGE TO CARRIERS THAT LOCKED GODDAMN PDAS AND CRAPPY UNNECESSARY OPERATOR BLOATWARE ARE NOT APPRECIATED, BUT APPARENTLY THE HEADS OF DEPARTMENT ARE TOO CLUELESS TO NOTICE.
i actually dont know what microsoft will hope to achieve, i mean if the roms are taken down from this site then they will be forced underground and most likely onto torrents and or private FTPs.
either way im sure the roms will be available via other means.
all that microsoft will achieve to do is take away a resource of ideas.
just like shutting down Napster stopped all people from trading MP3s
yeah, right ;-)
Hi everyone, my names. Steve, been lurking and learning lots from everyone out there. So first off thanks a ton to you all. I have worked in the industry for years, and learning everyday...
Well I figured now that I have a lot of time off coming up thanks to disabilities, figured I would register, join the family and help out where I can, and continue to learn.. now with that aside...lol
I have a pretty big problem, I have a Telus brand htc tp2 (T7379) and its getting costly, I'm at the end of my leash, and it still presists.
Problem 1 is that almost since day one I wanted to unlock the sim for travelling abroad , and have done 3 times already, first time cost $115 from telus ( at that time, my options were limited). Second time cost $78 through telus after sending it back in for repair (should have been free if you ask me). Third time was the same deal, but cost me the same $78..
Just 2 days ago, I tried to unlock it again from one of those online sim unlock sights for $45 but I was ripped off, the provided me with a sim unlock code that wasn't close to correct, and when comfronted they told me there no way it didn't work and that I was just trying to pull something, but here I sit $45 lighter in the pocket, and a phone that's gonna be costing me a lot in the upcoming days in roaming charges if I cant figure out something and quick...
This is only one of the 2 problems I have, but I am pretty sure that a hard spl and unlock will fix that, after reading up on my options. I'm gonna do that tomorrow and hope it fixes 2 underlying firmware issues I have been having, and if it doesn't fix it I will be on here early in the morning possible looking for help..
I am leaving late tuesday night for 2 weeks of medical treatments in Houston Texas. And the last time I was there and roaming it cost me over $4000. And I can not do that again, as money is tight now to begin with
If there is anyone who can assist me in unlocking the sim, I will forever be in your debt, as I already am, please pm me or reply here with a email address and I can send you the IMEI and so on.. I can afford a little bit, not much, but can only pay via email money transfer, no paypal or credit cards available...however I am more then willing to lend a helping hand and my wisdon to anyone who I can help as a form of payment if need be.. Please someone help, I cant afford to get burned again with this, as it is I'm already out $45 and still in this predicament. Please someone help me!
Thank you very much
Steve Cantin
Sorry cant post my email yet
Ok I fixed one issue, it doesn't seem as slow anymore, but now it wont charge from the charger only the pc.. this all started after a power outage while I was tethered, since then will not charge from wall... just fonna have to take a laptop with me....
I'm still in need of help though for unlocking my phone, I just got off the phone with Telus and been given the run arround for the last 3 hours. Them saying they don't have the ability to do so, cause they don't have them, but just over a year ago, I got it done by them...
Someone please help me, I cant afford medical bills and expences as well as roaming charges
Please message me if u can help... please someone help me!
Thanks EVERYONE!
Steve
Hi,
I bought the unlock service for my sm-n920p note 5 phone. The connect my phone remotely. They make somethings then said the phone is unlocked. But my phone is not unlocked. I couldn't use my phone. Then my phone give invalid sim messages.
I couldn't reach support. Open a few tickets but nobody contact me. I reach them via chat but they said me phone is blacklisted and a lot of "mother ****er, **** off, etc". They don't give me money back.
They give guarantee theandroiddoctor_com/imei-guarantee
They said unlock will be permenant.
Please keep away this persons and send this messages to your friends.

My order number is 15288.
I can send a lot of screenshot from my unlocked phone. Why I'm so ungry for $15. I lost totaly $500 for this phone. So $15 is not important for me. I can paid another $15 for permanent unlock my phone.
If you are theandroiddoctor person, you should explain the all process. Why technician close the session after unlock process without my test result. Nobody answer me, nobody answer my support request.
All time they use bad words and their behaviour is not fair.

Because they aren't a true professional shop, they are someone that does this from their home. They don't care about whether your phone works, they only care about getting paid and they didn't do the right thing because they didn't want to pay for messing your device up because they don't have a true business like a true professional would.
That's what you get for trying to save money to get it done and trusting someone that you found on the internet instead of taking your device to a trusted and reputable professional shop, you get what you pay for, it's your own fault for being stupid enough to trust someone you found online.
You made a bad decision and now you're paying the price, get over it, move on and learn a lesson from it. Posting here isn't changing anything.

Regarding the Note 5, the phone can be restored to factory conditions by downloading Samsung Kies. Once downloaded fire up the software, select "tools" followed by "firmware upgrade and initialisation". Then connect your phone and the software will download all the necessary files, including the latest updates. I know this because they screwed my phone's IMEI during a unlock process, probably hoping they would squeeze more money out of me for a IMEI repair. Kies solved my IMEI problem, and their unlock wasn't affected by the Kies update (their unlock worked). These are unsavoury people who had access to my computer and phone while they carried out their half a job. Hindsight is a wonderful thing....

To add to the OP's experience, here is what i had to go through:
I asked about the process to unlock a galaxy s7 and the online chat support rep sent me a Google pay link. I asked him whether they'd support Paypal and he responded with a barrage of expletives, also threatening to install active x and hack my browser. NEVER EVER USE THIS SITE FOR ANYTHING.

They are racist. Disgusting human being. I had a horrible experience through their online "help" to fix my note 5 blocked on the Samsung Google Account Verification screen.
Disgusting
I am filing a racial discrimination complaint against this Sharena Johnson that sent me a gpay link and their service. What a disgusting person
GOOD NEWS

I want to learn some basic stuff and have a ton of questions. I posted a few but the 1 person that Dm'ed me when I tryed to ask more questions yelled at me for having tone when even though I was very nice because I am greatful that he took the time.
I do not want to get yelled for no reason so there is no way I will ask him anything else.
So is there anyone willing to take sme time to have a conversation with me about a samsung S6 phone?
No one is going to yell at you for no reason... if they do it's a lick on them.
Post your questions so others can learn as well.
No one person knows all the solutions so you benefit from more sources of knowledge by posting the questions on the forum.
Or simply be patient as you will eventually find the answers you seek... works for me.
Ok I was given a phone samsung from a lady that changed to a new company.
The phone she gave me has no sim card and has been resotred to start.
What th woman who gave it to me and I both do not know is if the phone is carries locked and how to gey it unlocked.
I have googled and it seems there are a lot of unlock code generators that charge a fee.
Can anyone tell me first is there a free one second if not one that is not some kind of a scam.
The phone says it is a Samsung SM-G920A.

Have the last owner sign in on the phone and delete their Google and Samsung accounts on it.
You can then do a factory reset and configure it as you please.
That's the easy way... any other way will be much harder.

Maybe I am not explaining this right.
The samsung phone has been reset so it is like it is a new phone.
It was a ATT carrier and I want to use it on a differant carrier so I need to unlock the carrier.
So I am looking for a way to unlock the carrie.
So what I am looking for is a
Unlock Code Generator.
Is there one that is used and not a scam?

The easiest way is to have AT&T unlock it.
If there's no outstanding balance on the account they should. Usually the account holder does this, not sure how this will work in your case.
AT&T can still/could have blacklist(ed) the phone's imei even if you use a 3rd party unlocker.
Probably best to work it out with AT&T. They are very intolerant of delinquent accounts though. If a balance was owed by the previous owner they will probably want it paid to unlock it. They just want their money. If no money is owed you should be alright.
As much as I know... I may be mistaken. Never had to play with this.
so a friend who owed me some money said he had an extra phone because he just got a new one. I can confirm this because I was there when he got his new stylo 6 so not thinking much about it (aka trust) and I desperately needed a phone so i agreed. he dropped the phone off at my work the other day, its clean, no cracks, i was very happy with it. the one thing that i couldnt confirm was it was unlocked. because of my trust with this so called friend i believed him when he said he hadnt charged it cuz he didnt use it anymore.
all good...i have a charger at the house i thought. and i did, but i turn the phone on and its locked.
i go to message my buddy, no response. i call, no answer. dude literally wont contact me because idk maybe doesnt know code (like he stole it or found it) or he knows code the and the phones software is ****ed, idk. but i ordered a metro sim and am hoping they will be able to help.
did i buy a paperweight, since i guess im not geitting paid back either by my degenerate of a friend, whom im removing the title of "friend" Its a nice phone and i would like to be able to use it.
any ideas? im nervous to reset because i dont want to google lock it incase he was logged in.
and for anyone wanting to imply im the thief go learn about KARMA. LEARN ABOUT IT. VERY REAL AND ALWAYS OCCURS.

It's not clear what phone you received also another strange thing is the phone looked in good conditions but no charger??
Another huge mistake you made is you didn't even turn the phone on in front of your "friend"?
The phone still has a Google account from the previous owner so even hard resetting it doesn't give you a working phone.
Imagine if the phone is stolen and someone just hard resets it and gets away, it doesn't work this way because Google will ask you the previous owner's login details.
In addition it looks like the phone has a screen lock so you're out of luck.
You can check online if the IMEI was blocked = stolen phone or unpaid phone rates.
Depending on your country of origin you should call the Police and report this "friend" and say he sold you a stolen phone, you believe it's stolen because the phone is locked and that guy refused to deal with you.
Lesson learned, buying second hand phones is very risky unless you know what you're doing.
Regarding Google, I sold a Google Pixel3 with hard reset and the new buyer was able to use it while a Lenovo P2 with hard reset will only allow the setup once it gets the previous owner Google credentials!

om...., well... if it don't work anyways... I'd reset it, worst case it Google locks, AND asks for screen code and Gmail, and your buddy should have that if he or she ever responds anyway
