v2.14.1 - Initial Froyo-based Changelog - 12/15/2010
"Hell hath frozen over" ...
Well I promised if we ever got "official" drivers I would update this ROM ... and well ... with much delay we finally did!
So as @olearpy would put it ... it appears "Hell hath frozen over" ...
I really thought it would never happen ... and thus a very long delay occurred ... sorry 'bout that all. :/
- The is my initial Froyo-based dream/sapphire ROM, hope it's enjoyed.
- I will not be posting an initial "extensive" changelog. Instead my Nexus1 work should be referenced HERE for a thorough changelog (POST #2).
- Differences from the Nexus1 ROM and initial build CREDITS will be listed in this initial changelog.
- First the credits ...
--- BloodyWasHere - for the loaner MT3G - So could finally put this build together!!! Thanks again man!
--- Pershoot - for his 2.6.35.x - OC/UV kernel code (is completely his, only my configurations) - Thanks again man!
--- ezterry - for the 2708 contributions ... ty
--- CyanogenMOD - for the msm7k libs and misc other junk I can't even remember :/
- Differences from the Nexus1 build
- No LED Color options
- No HTC Apps (*for now* - space issues mainly - we'll see :/)
- No FMRadio
- No dalvik-cache to /cache options
--- All other options/components made it over from the Nexus1 build, unless I'm forgetting some (which is very possible!) - will update as they come to light
NOTE: It's *highly* recommended you use Oldstyle-Apps2SD and Dalvik-cache-2-SD in SpareParts if you're a dream/G1 user ... as you'll only have ~53MB free on /data after installation otherwise. :/
Installation Instructions
1) Rooted phone with a recovery image that can flash testkey ROM's (a.k.a Amon_RA's or ClockWorkMOD/ROMManager)
2) Download update.zip from POST #1 in downloads at the botton and copy to your phone's SDCard.
3) Boot into recovery and perform a nandroid backup to be safe, flash and enjoy!
4) Then flash (alternatively) ... either the EBI1 or 2708 kernel if needed.
TBD
reserved ...........................
It's ALL about options!!!

Please remember ... if you use and like the above theme work ... show some love to the original artist/themer, let them know!

Preferred Installation Procedure (Tested, Tried and True)!
Prerequisites - REQUIREMENTS
1) Root.
2) Recovery image capable of flashing ROM's not signed with OTA-release-keys, I recommend Cyanogen's 1.4 or Amon_RA's 1.5.0 image.
If you need help ROOTING or installing a recovery image ... PLEASE visit LucidREM's thread ... HERE....!!!!
He has provided fairly clear instructions and is always willing to help out those requiring assistance with this!
NOT REQUIRED - BUT STRONGLY RECOMMENDED
1) If you have a Dream/G1 ... Flash the Latest Radio, 2.22.19_26I, get it HERE!
2) A SDcard partition with (1) FAT32 partition and if you're a G1/dream user, (1) ext2/ext3/ext4 partition. I'd recommend at least ~320MB on the ext2/ext3/ext4 partition.
Installing Base Rooted ROM, Expansion Packs and Themes - Instructions
1) BACKUP ALL YOUR PHONE DATA AND SDCARD Contents to a computer, external HD, or whatever, by whatever means you can. (Always better Safe than ever sorry!)
2) If you are coming from another Apps2SD ROM or you use an ext2/ext3/ext4 partition for anything otherwise... In order to guarantee you won't have any issues with the install you should remove app, app-private, expstick and the dalvik-cache directories on your /system/sd (ext2/ext3/ext4) partition, or you may simply reformat it. If you backed up your whole SDcard, this shouldn't be a huge issue. - Yes you'll have to reinstall your apps. You can try to skip this step, but if the install fails, rinse, wash, repeat and don't skip this step.
3) Download the desired base rooted ROM from the original post (and expansion pack is desired, recommended).
4) Copy the base rooted ROM (and expansion pack if you plan to use it, recommended) .zip files to your phone's SDcard. (DO NOT PLACE IT IN A FOLDER).
5) Power-Off your phone.
6) Press and Hold (Home+Power) buttons at the same time to boot into recovery mode.
7) Perform a data wipe by pressing (Alt+w), may have to confirm by pressing HOME (it will prompt).
8) Flash the base rooted ROM using the anyzip (or choose update) option.
9) When finished, if you want the expansion pack, flash the expansion pack using the anyzip (or choose update) option.
10) When finished, reboot from recovery by pressing (Home+Back).
11) Once your phone has booted up, sign into your Google account (by whatever means) through the setup/data-sync wizard.
12) Launch the "MarketApp" and accept the terms, download some app you're familiar with by going to 'My Downloads' or search for one!
13) Now, the base and Expansion installation complete, if you want to install a theme, place the theme.zip file onto your sdcard.
14) Reboot into recovery.
15) Flash the theme_update.zip file using the anyzip (or choose update) option.
16) Reboot your phone!
That's it! You're Finished!
Enjoy!
ROM & ExpansionPack - Updating
Expansion Packs can be applied on top of previous Expansion Packs (or base ROMs) without wiping ... unless otherwise noted in the changelog! So read the changelog!!!
Do also note, you will typically have to re-apply your theme after updating! Sometimes you may need to download an updated/compatible new theme, so read the changelog!!!
That's IT! - Enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I control features like compcache, linux-swap, CPU, etc?
A) Most features of the build are controlled with the terminal
command, 'expsetup'. Run this in the terminal after the 'su'
command, it's menu-driven. Else, you can optional employ
a user.conf, see changelog and example for details.
So what's the difference between the AOSP, ADP & TMO builds?
A) The AOSP ROM supports ALL android languages, besides that,
it is the same as the ADP ROM. ADP & AOSP/ADP builds are more
theme-able ... thus I will post more/better themes for these builds,
period. That said, you can check out
TheOfficial ROM DB Matrix for my ROM's HERE at androidspin!
So what's the deal with these "expansion packs"?
A) All of these ROM's are basic rooted versions of their official release.
So if TMO has a release, a matching "base rooted ROM" is posted.
This is simply a rooted form of that release w/no advanced rooted
features. Now, if you want advanced root features such as compcache,
apps2sd, tethering, etc ... you must install the expansion pack!
Further, if you are a MT3G (sapphire-32B) user, you must also install
the expansion pack in order for this build to work properly.
I can flash the base rooted ROM with no problem, but I get
"black/blank" screens when I install the expansion pack, what gives?
A) The most likely cause of this is leftovers from another build on your ext
partition. Reformat your ext partition, wipe, flash the base and reflash the
expansion pack.
Whenever I run 'su' or an app that runs 'su' I get a blank screen and an
eventual FC. How do I fix this, please help!?
A) USB Debugging must be turned ON. Goto Settings -> Applications ->
Development -> USB Debugging must be CHECKED!
I'm using AdvancedLauncher and it keeps ForceClosing when I
auto-rotate the phone?
A) This has been noted by several users when using specific widgets.
Specifically, the Taskiller widget has been noted to cause this problem.
Remove the offending widgets that are not yet Donut compatible.

I can understand the friend's insistence. I know that I've flashed to ROMs in the past (on my old Excalibur) that omitted or messed up a feature that I had gotten used to or needed, or have flashed to a ROM that was overly flamboyant, versus a typically cleaner build.
Still, I've been reading great things about the Android ROMs by Cyanogen, JesusFreke, et al.
Can't Download
so i'm trying to download your rom to give it a try but rapidshare is not alowing it for some reason
if you can fix it it will be great
thanks

I think I'm gonna give this build a shot. It's pretty much a stock US 1.5 w/ root, right?
EDIT : I use Haykuro's last SPL (1.33.2005) and the 26l radio from HTC, right?

Yes this is Stock US 1.5 w/root. If you already use Haykuro's SPL then you are alright but it doesn't require it (so i wouldn't recommend it) and yes the radio is the .26i you want to make sure you load if you dont already. This is just CRC1 w/Root so really doesn't require anything special
yes this is stock

To be clear ...
This is definitely a stock CRC1 from TMobile, only the necessary components have been added to get/keep root.
No busybox, no App2SD, no cramfs, no squashfs, no custom kernels, no audio mods, etc.

The newest Cyanogen has the work e-mail app from the MyTouch which adds exchange support. I've been runnning it for the past week and have had absolutely no problems with it.
What would it take to add ADB to this rom?
Is this something I could do after loading it?
I'll load it and see if it works....
adb is default
adbd is in the system build by default and is also included on Tmobile stock builds (like this one) ... the only difference here is, I added root!
So you get adb w/root on this build, yes!
;-)

As far as the Work E-mail app in cyanogen's ... I've tried it ... it only does e-mail and as I stated previously I require contacts and calender sync as well (thus rogers) - cuz I can't stand the HERO slowness.
Further I witnessed stability issues with work e-mail app on cyanogen's ... initial setup worked great, but after that, attempting to change general settings sporadically failed with force closes. Just what I experienced, if it works for you, glad to hear it ...
And again I like cyanogen's, which is why I use soulife's rogers remix, b/c it incorporates many of cyanogen's features/mods.
so do u still have to root.... or can u just flash this to a stock t-mobile g1 and it will give root?
get root 1st
yes ...
You still need to get root and install a recovery image capable of installing update.zip's signed with test keys, etc. (I recommend cyanogen's)
SPL doesn't matter (but I recommend Hard or Engineering)
I also recommend you get the latest radio update (as stated in OP), (this is not required, but I recommend), since you would normally get this with the Cupcake CRB43 update from TMO and the whole point of this ROM is to be as TMO like as possible, etc.

This is a new thread for kernel ports of CyanogenMod 4.1.99 and greater versions only.
This kernel port will now work on any EBI1 kernel: this includes both the HTC Magic 32a and Rogers Dream.
If you wish to port earlier versions of CyanogenMod - please see Bcrook's thread. Bcrook has asked me to start a new thread for 4.1.99+ and ongoing versions as I've been doing the recent ports for it.
This is a kernel port from the 32b ION/HTC Magic/mytouch3g version of CyanogenMod that should work on any EBI1 (32a/rogers dream) device.
In most cases our hardware is identical, but we have twice the memory and so the kernel and wlan modules need to be rebuilt.
The steps for installing CyanogenMod on a 32a are much the same and are listed below for your convenience:
I have tested these steps personally, as have a number of people:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NEW INSTALL (ie. never installed CM 4.1.99 or greater before):
Download HTC ADP 1.6 DRC83
(http://www.androidspin.com/downloads...ooted_base.zip)
Download CyanogenMod 4.2.4
(http://n0rp.chemlab.org/android/update-cm-4.2.4-signed.zip)
Download the Kernel Port file (see below)
Copy all three .zip files to your SD and reboot in recovery mode (press Home+Power at the same time or fastboot into your recovery)
Do a "Wipe data/factory reset"
Do a "Wipe SD: ext partition" ** (see below)
(it is recommended to wipe your Apps2SD partition for this release)
Apply Zip: HTC_ADP_1.6_DRC83_rooted_base.zip
Apply Zip: update-cm-4.2.4-signed.zip
Apply Kernel Port Zip: rad-4.xxxx.zip or bc-4.xxxx.zip
Reboot
Either grab some popcorn and watch adb lolcat as it goes past, or go do something else.. this might take a while
UPGRADE INSTALL (ie. already installed 4.1.99 or greater):
Download latest CyanogenMod update (now 4.2.4)
Download the associated Kernel Port file (see below)
Copy both .zip files to your SD and reboot in recovery mode (press Home+Power at the same time or fastboot into your recovery)
Apply Zip: update-cm-4.2.4-signed.zip
Apply Kernel Port Zip: rad-4.xxxx.zip or bc-4.xxxx.zip
Reboot
Either grab some popcorn and watch adb lolcat as it goes past, or go do something else.. this might take a while

HTC IME: Hero Keyboard
For those who want the HTC IME back you need to download HTC_IME.apk and Clicker.apk from here:
http://n0rp.chemlab.org/android/apps
then either ADB install them or use an app like ASTRO to install them.
Do not use any other versions of HTC_IME - they will force-close.
Then go to Menu->Settings->Locale and Text->Touch Input and activate for it to appear, then long press on a text box to switch to it by default.

** After a bit of inspection it looks like no 32a recovery rom has this option at present.
if your recovery rom doesn't have the option 'Wipe SD: ext' then you can duplicate it by doing (while in your recovery rom):
$ adb shell
# mount /system/sd
# rm -rf /system/sd/*
# unmount /system/sd

How did you try to reboot in recovery mode? Have you tried using fastboot? You don't have to write the recovery image to the phone, you can use fastboot.
Basically you turn off the phone, then press the Back+Turn on keys and you should be in fastboot.
Then at the computer cd into the directory where you have the recovery image then type:
fastboot boot <recovery.img>
(replace recovery.img with the actual recovery image name; make sure the phone is connected via usb to the computer and adb "sees" it, check with adb devices).
Then you should be able to follow the procedure as described in the first post.
If you didn't copy all the zips on the memory card first, you need to take out the memory card and use a card reader to copy them first.
Hope this helps!

Hi,thanks. But when I press the Back+Turn on keys, my phone boot into a htc magic screen, not the fastboot mode.
Do we also need the two extra reboots?

I would say yes as this thread only adds the 32A kernel and I doubt the requirement of booting 2 more times has anything to do with the kernel.
On the other hand, I've rebooted actually more than 2 times (for other reasons) and it doesn't seem faster to me. Too bad cyanogen didn't say what exactly will/should be faster so that we can test.
so my journey is finally complete.
in the past 24 hours since the update came out, i have managed to :
1. brick my phone
2. sent it for warranty repairs
3. live (like an undead) for a bit without my beloved 32A magic
4. gotten back my 32A magic
5. figured out how to restore my old nandroid of 4.1.11.1 while still keeping the perfect SPL (i am still on .0010)
6. gotten 4.1.99 to work without wiping (still lost my my HTC_IME dictionary which is a minor thorn is the behind)
7. will live happily ever after.
so thanks for the people who figured out what to do. what are the steps.
mad mad props goes out to Radix999 for the porting files.
now for my lockscreen and black status bar
What about all the google programs, this might be a stupid question. Think i have read somewhere online that we who have google programs need to take a backup of those or else they want be "transfered" to the 4.1.99 ROM. Am i right or just me that haven't understood anything?

I'm just curious....is there a version of this rom that doesn't require apps2sd (and by extension, doesn't require a partitioned sd card) ?
The reason I ask is since it's for a 32A board, is it really necessary?
Thanks for any info.
Err, I don't think it requires apps2sd. You're right, most 32a users don't need it. It will install automatically should it find the ext partition on the card, but it's not required. I'd be interested to know if otherwise.

I understood everything about the instructions for the ROM update except this one.
I have cyanogen's recovery 1.4 and I can't find the Wipe SD: ext partition option. By this you mean that we have to manually wipe the partition on a linux OS or that there's a recovery ROM with this option? If we have to wipe it we will loose our installed apps that we had before, right?
Thanks for your work radix!
To be quite honest, I don't know how to wipe the ext2/3 partition for the Apps2SD users - I'm just using the instructions from the mytouch3g installs and they did recommend any partition you may have.
If you have an Apps2SD partition you'll need to figure it out (you'll probably find you can 'adb shell' in Amon_RA's recovery rom and there's a script for formatting your apps2sd partition somewhere, but you'll need to check with his recovery rom and what's included)
Personally I don't use Apps2SD and never will
And for the record I'm still using Amon_RA's 1.2.0 recovery - never bothered changing as it works fine for me

I've been running this rom a whole day now, no FC's no Reboots, battery usage seems very nice! the live wallpapers are sluggisch, and after you take a picture, the image is completely distorted but when you check the picture afterwards, its perfect.
I'm going to use this rom for a while as a daily one! I'll report back later if I encounter problems. Cheers mate!

Working good!
Installed half an hour ago, without partitioning SD.
Everything seems to be working good, though the home screen is a bit laggy...
It's awesome seeing the animated Nexus live wallpaper working on the Magic. Am going to stick with this till the slowness gets to me (here's hoping it gets updated to a faster version).

But I have a problem about the received sms's time when the phone is off. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=641663

There is two "android keyboard" input in the settings. why ? ...
Great rom, finally got my HSDPA to work. first boot really quick I like it, looking forward to the next upgrade, keep it on!
Thank you for this.......but it runs way to "laggy" on my Magic 32a (w. same SPL and RADIO as you) to be usable, sometimes it freezes in different menus......
please fix Bluetooth............thank you
Is there any way to get the H back when you have HSDPA signal.
I know it's not necessary but it would be a good feeling to have it.
Thanks in advance
Hm... does it need to wipe if coming from 'DietEclair'+bcrook's port?
Curious
When is 1.3 due out? I would love to see the camera photo review issue as well as video resolved

[INTRODUCTION]
This ROM is based of the joined effort of a couple of devs (Ejtable, Scanno and Brucelee666) who are working on getting JellyBean working for our device. As soon as JellyBean is getting stable, my goal is also to put everything on github, just like i did with VegaCream. This way other devs can also work on this.
Please remember that I, ejtagle and brucelee666 are *NOT* professionals and do this in our spare time. We all have full time jobs and a family. So be happy that there is an Android ROM based on Android 4.1.1 / JellyBean for a device that was sold with Android 2.2 and never had an update.
We do our best to make this ROM as good as possible. With VegaCream we gave you a ROM that gave a new life to your tablet and unleashed its full potential. But we are not wizzards and there might be problems that we cannot solve or do not have time for.
[SPECIFICATIONS]
This ROM is based on AOSP 4.1.1 and the device config made by Ejtagle, brucelee666 and myself.
- INT2EXT+ (Needs a correctly partitioned SDCard)
- zRAM
- DPI is set at 120dpi
- Default JellyBean Launcher installed
- Apex Launcher installed
- Filemanager installed
- Terminal installed
- Google Apps is installed. This means that the Google base is installed and all the apps that are available in the Play Store are not installed (i.e. GMail, Maps)
- All languages that are available in AOSP are included
- Partition layout is the same as VegaCream / VegaICS beta1 / Modded stock
- /system/app, /system/lib, /system/fonts, /system/framework and /system/usr are Squashfs filesystems.
[INSTALLATION]
There are 2 methods of installation. There is a CWM recovery flashable ZIP and a NVFlash file.
I realy recommend flashing VegaBean the first time with the NVFlash version.
Before installing any version, you have to make sure that you have a SDCard that has the correct partition layout:
- First partition is a primary partition formatted as FAT32
- Second partition is a primary partition formatted as EXT4
EXT4 is a linux filesystem so you will need a program that can handle Linux filesystems when you are using Windows.
Before installing the ZIP file make sure that:
- You have the correct partition layout (if you have VegaCream installed, you have the correct layout, if not then use the NVFlash installer. This will repartition your internal memory))
- Copy the ZIP file to your SD-Card
- Boot into Recovery
- Do a FULL WIPE / FACTORY RESET
- Install the ZIP file from your SDCard
- After installing reboot the tablet.
[WORKING]
- WiFi
- Bluetooth (Tested with a A2DP headset)
- Camera
- HDMI including audio
- 3G (only fro the Huawei internal modem, usb modems may work)
- GPS not tested by me, but some say it kind of works.
[CREDITS]
- Ejtagle
- Brucelee666
- Scanno
- LeoP for his zRAM implementation
- Legionaire (for the VegaBean bootanimation)
[DOWNLOADS]
Please do *NOT* use Link2SD anymore. You do not need it. With the INT2EXT script, your apps will install on SDCard by default. Just make sure you have 2 primary partition. First partition *MUST* be a FAT32 partition. The second partition *SHOULD* be EXT4. When upgrading from a previous version, make sure your EXT partition is empty / reformatted. Also when using the NVflash version !!!

[Changelist]
[Beta 6]
- RIL updated to the latest version (3 october i think)
- updated to AOSP 4.1.2
- Added check to see if there is a second partition on the SDCard. If not INT2EXT is not excecuted (PLEASE TEST !!!)
- Updated GApps
[Beta 5]
Changes compared to Beta 3-1:
- New kernel with the following changes:
- Suspend problem solved. Tablet does not enter LP0 anymore
- Compiled with zRAM support
- zRAM modules added
- zRAM implementation from LeoP included
- RIL from ejtagle updated
[Beta 3-1]
- Included int2ext+
- Included bootanimation for legionnaire
[Beta 3]
- Latest RIL from EJTagle
- CM10 keyboard
- Stock browser with the option to set User Agent
- You can now just wipe cache and dalvik-cache when updating from a previous VegaBean version. Please remember that from other version you will have to do a full wipe / factory reset !!!
[Beta 2.2]
What has changed compared to Beta 2
- AOSP updated to JRO03L
- Latest update to the huaweigeneric RIL (from aug 27) by EJTagle
The stripped version has the following apps removed from /system/app compared to the original version:
- ApexLauncher.apk
- PlayMusic.apk
- Talk.apk
- YouTube.apk
The stripped version should give you around 10 MiB extra on /system. So if you have bad NAND problems and have problems booting (not able to) you can try this.
[Beta 2]
- HDMI audio working
- VegaBean bootanimation added by indigolemon
[Beta 1]
- Rotation really fixed and HW acceleration working
- Disable / Enable GPS would crash, fixed (thanks Eduardo)
Alpha 3:
- Rotation Fixed. Portrait mode is working correctly
- 3G files included... Sadly no 3G because of too old version of Huawei RIL. Need at least version 6 and we have version 4. So if anybody can get his / her hands on a newer version, please let us know.
Hey , very nice to see JellyBean here
I have ViewSonic 10s
I am using at this moment VegaICS , so i am thinking to upgrate it to JB. So my questions :
- kernel with hostdriver ?
- is system rewritable?? its Squashfs so i think its not (like VegaICS, no deletable apps...)
- can I update BusyBOX and Superuser ??? (always after i did it , WIFI was brocken and I lost root (VegaICS))
- is it possible to change DPI to normal 160 ??
............................
One more question about CWM
always after installing any Roms via CWM , it booted , but after first reboot/turnoff my device died... only what help is reflashing via NVflash....
So what should i flash first to use a stable-CWM (without killing device)
any suggestions
If you are still using VegaICS, I suggest you switch to VegaCream RC2. It has an NVFlash installer, so you don't have to use CWM at all. It is by far the most stable and fast ROM ever built for our devices, and is 100% feature complete.
This ROM is a beta, and if you have not experienced VegaCream RC2 yet, you should try that first and wait on this for a later release.

What a great ROM, but I've got a problem where my Viewpad don't boot. Ok, it boots the first time after installing it, but not on 2nd boot. I've tried to install it over both VegaICS and VegaCream RC2. Does anybody have a solution? I really want this ROM. I had the same problem on VegaCream in the past, but it I think it works now, but not in VegaBean. I hope I get any help...
Sent from my HTC Sensation, Venom-infected with the ViperS ROM!

VegaCream works now after flashing it through NVFlash. Could the boot problem have something with an uncomplete CWM or something? Like it "destroys" the important partitions?Since both VegaCream and VegaICS use an unofficial build of CWM with Touch-interface? Mabye I'll try to flash an official version and install VegaBean through there! Will report back if it works!
Nice, will test this out!

I can now confirm that flashing VegaBean through official CWM works, and it boots and 2nd boot too... Just download the .zip file at the bottom and follow this guide by me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597556 or this guide by add.thebad: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1041036
Don't forget to hit the "Thanks" button if I helped you out

If you want to use this for a new rom go ahead. Just give the credits for the work done (also ejtagle and brucelee666)
Modifications to the standard AOSP source code can be found on my github. Also the kernel sources are there too.
They are not up-to-date yet.
If you find solutions to problems in the ROM, give them back to the community so they can also be used in other ROMS.

If you mean USB host... Yes it is... On my github there are the sources of the 3.1.10 kernel (based on the rel-15r7 version of nvidia) with the patches ejtagle made. But they are not up to date yet.
As soon as i have time i have to clean up the lunch target of beta1 and do a commit on github. Then you can fork from there and build a version for yourself. If you use the manifest file for vegabean you also get the modifications made to the framework, wpa_supplicant etc to make it all work.
See https://github.com/scanno
Again do not use it yet because they are not up to beta 1.
Thanks for the offer, but i do not have time to do a lot of work and join a development team. For the development of roms for the advent vega i would prefer and suggest that you and the Remics team go to the modaco forum and join the kernel development thread and join the efforts.
This way we have more changes of getting a very good base and from there make ROMS. The more roms to choose from, the better for the people using an advent vega.
Thx for answere, but i dont will compile it , i will use the ready zip file and edit it.
I am not a kernel-developer
thats why i asked you about team

Ok... but again all help is welcome, but you know that. Besides kernel development is done by EJtagle and not by me. He reversed engineerd most of the device specific vega stuff.
Also... /system/lib, /system/framework, /system/usr, /system/app are squashfs filesystems. To access the files in there you have to unsquash them.
do you can tell me programm on windows how to unsquash and again to squash after editing ?

Sorry... I am using Linux and it is available in the repository there. On windows I really do not know. You could Google to see if there are any hits on mksquashfs and unsquashfs. That are the tools used on Linux.
You will need to find a version that supports XZ ( LZMA2) compression. That is the compression algorithm used in vegabean.
This is needed because otherwise the ROM does not fit in the /system partition.
very nice!
7zip can do it under windows - unpack
