v2.14.1 - Initial Froyo-based Changelog - 12/15/2010
"Hell hath frozen over" ...
Well I promised if we ever got "official" drivers I would update this ROM ... and well ... with much delay we finally did!
So as @olearpy would put it ... it appears "Hell hath frozen over" ...
I really thought it would never happen ... and thus a very long delay occurred ... sorry 'bout that all. :/
- The is my initial Froyo-based dream/sapphire ROM, hope it's enjoyed.
- I will not be posting an initial "extensive" changelog. Instead my Nexus1 work should be referenced HERE for a thorough changelog (POST #2).
- Differences from the Nexus1 ROM and initial build CREDITS will be listed in this initial changelog.
- First the credits ...
--- BloodyWasHere - for the loaner MT3G - So could finally put this build together!!! Thanks again man!
--- Pershoot - for his 2.6.35.x - OC/UV kernel code (is completely his, only my configurations) - Thanks again man!
--- ezterry - for the 2708 contributions ... ty
--- CyanogenMOD - for the msm7k libs and misc other junk I can't even remember :/
- Differences from the Nexus1 build
- No LED Color options
- No HTC Apps (*for now* - space issues mainly - we'll see :/)
- No FMRadio
- No dalvik-cache to /cache options
--- All other options/components made it over from the Nexus1 build, unless I'm forgetting some (which is very possible!) - will update as they come to light
NOTE: It's *highly* recommended you use Oldstyle-Apps2SD and Dalvik-cache-2-SD in SpareParts if you're a dream/G1 user ... as you'll only have ~53MB free on /data after installation otherwise. :/
Installation Instructions
1) Rooted phone with a recovery image that can flash testkey ROM's (a.k.a Amon_RA's or ClockWorkMOD/ROMManager)
2) Download update.zip from POST #1 in downloads at the botton and copy to your phone's SDCard.
3) Boot into recovery and perform a nandroid backup to be safe, flash and enjoy!
4) Then flash (alternatively) ... either the EBI1 or 2708 kernel if needed.

TBD
reserved ...........................

It's ALL about options!!!

Preferred Installation Procedure (Tested, Tried and True)!
Prerequisites - REQUIREMENTS
1) Root.
2) Recovery image capable of flashing ROM's not signed with OTA-release-keys, I recommend Cyanogen's 1.4 or Amon_RA's 1.5.0 image.
If you need help ROOTING or installing a recovery image ... PLEASE visit LucidREM's thread ... HERE....!!!!
He has provided fairly clear instructions and is always willing to help out those requiring assistance with this!
NOT REQUIRED - BUT STRONGLY RECOMMENDED
1) If you have a Dream/G1 ... Flash the Latest Radio, 2.22.19_26I, get it HERE!
2) A SDcard partition with (1) FAT32 partition and if you're a G1/dream user, (1) ext2/ext3/ext4 partition. I'd recommend at least ~320MB on the ext2/ext3/ext4 partition.
Installing Base Rooted ROM, Expansion Packs and Themes - Instructions
1) BACKUP ALL YOUR PHONE DATA AND SDCARD Contents to a computer, external HD, or whatever, by whatever means you can. (Always better Safe than ever sorry!)
2) If you are coming from another Apps2SD ROM or you use an ext2/ext3/ext4 partition for anything otherwise... In order to guarantee you won't have any issues with the install you should remove app, app-private, expstick and the dalvik-cache directories on your /system/sd (ext2/ext3/ext4) partition, or you may simply reformat it. If you backed up your whole SDcard, this shouldn't be a huge issue. - Yes you'll have to reinstall your apps. You can try to skip this step, but if the install fails, rinse, wash, repeat and don't skip this step.
3) Download the desired base rooted ROM from the original post (and expansion pack is desired, recommended).
4) Copy the base rooted ROM (and expansion pack if you plan to use it, recommended) .zip files to your phone's SDcard. (DO NOT PLACE IT IN A FOLDER).
5) Power-Off your phone.
6) Press and Hold (Home+Power) buttons at the same time to boot into recovery mode.
7) Perform a data wipe by pressing (Alt+w), may have to confirm by pressing HOME (it will prompt).
8) Flash the base rooted ROM using the anyzip (or choose update) option.
9) When finished, if you want the expansion pack, flash the expansion pack using the anyzip (or choose update) option.
10) When finished, reboot from recovery by pressing (Home+Back).
11) Once your phone has booted up, sign into your Google account (by whatever means) through the setup/data-sync wizard.
12) Launch the "MarketApp" and accept the terms, download some app you're familiar with by going to 'My Downloads' or search for one!
13) Now, the base and Expansion installation complete, if you want to install a theme, place the theme.zip file onto your sdcard.
14) Reboot into recovery.
15) Flash the theme_update.zip file using the anyzip (or choose update) option.
16) Reboot your phone!
That's it! You're Finished!
Enjoy!
ROM & ExpansionPack - Updating
Expansion Packs can be applied on top of previous Expansion Packs (or base ROMs) without wiping ... unless otherwise noted in the changelog! So read the changelog!!!
Do also note, you will typically have to re-apply your theme after updating! Sometimes you may need to download an updated/compatible new theme, so read the changelog!!!
That's IT! - Enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I control features like compcache, linux-swap, CPU, etc?
A) Most features of the build are controlled with the terminal
command, 'expsetup'. Run this in the terminal after the 'su'
command, it's menu-driven. Else, you can optional employ
a user.conf, see changelog and example for details.
So what's the difference between the AOSP, ADP & TMO builds?
A) The AOSP ROM supports ALL android languages, besides that,
it is the same as the ADP ROM. ADP & AOSP/ADP builds are more
theme-able ... thus I will post more/better themes for these builds,
period. That said, you can check out
TheOfficial ROM DB Matrix for my ROM's HERE at androidspin!
So what's the deal with these "expansion packs"?
A) All of these ROM's are basic rooted versions of their official release.
So if TMO has a release, a matching "base rooted ROM" is posted.
This is simply a rooted form of that release w/no advanced rooted
features. Now, if you want advanced root features such as compcache,
apps2sd, tethering, etc ... you must install the expansion pack!
Further, if you are a MT3G (sapphire-32B) user, you must also install
the expansion pack in order for this build to work properly.
I can flash the base rooted ROM with no problem, but I get
"black/blank" screens when I install the expansion pack, what gives?
A) The most likely cause of this is leftovers from another build on your ext
partition. Reformat your ext partition, wipe, flash the base and reflash the
expansion pack.
Whenever I run 'su' or an app that runs 'su' I get a blank screen and an
eventual FC. How do I fix this, please help!?
A) USB Debugging must be turned ON. Goto Settings -> Applications ->
Development -> USB Debugging must be CHECKED!
I'm using AdvancedLauncher and it keeps ForceClosing when I
auto-rotate the phone?
A) This has been noted by several users when using specific widgets.
Specifically, the Taskiller widget has been noted to cause this problem.
Remove the offending widgets that are not yet Donut compatible.

I can understand the friend's insistence. I know that I've flashed to ROMs in the past (on my old Excalibur) that omitted or messed up a feature that I had gotten used to or needed, or have flashed to a ROM that was overly flamboyant, versus a typically cleaner build.
Still, I've been reading great things about the Android ROMs by Cyanogen, JesusFreke, et al.

Can't Download
so i'm trying to download your rom to give it a try but rapidshare is not alowing it for some reason
if you can fix it it will be great
thanks

Sorry the original died out!
Please post your experiences, my buddy is thrilled I turned it out so quick for him. Just wondering what others think.

I think I have the same problem. I would have my in-call volume all the way down, and my gf would always tell me to turn it down, because it's WAY too loud. I always thought it was strange, but I guess she was right?
I think I'm gonna give this build a shot. It's pretty much a stock US 1.5 w/ root, right?
EDIT : I use Haykuro's last SPL (1.33.2005) and the 26l radio from HTC, right?

Yes this is Stock US 1.5 w/root. If you already use Haykuro's SPL then you are alright but it doesn't require it (so i wouldn't recommend it) and yes the radio is the .26i you want to make sure you load if you dont already. This is just CRC1 w/Root so really doesn't require anything special

yes this is stock

To be clear ...
This is definitely a stock CRC1 from TMobile, only the necessary components have been added to get/keep root.
No busybox, no App2SD, no cramfs, no squashfs, no custom kernels, no audio mods, etc.

The newest Cyanogen has the work e-mail app from the MyTouch which adds exchange support. I've been runnning it for the past week and have had absolutely no problems with it.

What would it take to add ADB to this rom?
Is this something I could do after loading it?
I'll load it and see if it works....

adb is default
adbd is in the system build by default and is also included on Tmobile stock builds (like this one) ... the only difference here is, I added root!
So you get adb w/root on this build, yes!
;-)

As far as the Work E-mail app in cyanogen's ... I've tried it ... it only does e-mail and as I stated previously I require contacts and calender sync as well (thus rogers) - cuz I can't stand the HERO slowness.
Further I witnessed stability issues with work e-mail app on cyanogen's ... initial setup worked great, but after that, attempting to change general settings sporadically failed with force closes. Just what I experienced, if it works for you, glad to hear it ...
And again I like cyanogen's, which is why I use soulife's rogers remix, b/c it incorporates many of cyanogen's features/mods.

so do u still have to root.... or can u just flash this to a stock t-mobile g1 and it will give root?

get root 1st
yes ...
You still need to get root and install a recovery image capable of installing update.zip's signed with test keys, etc. (I recommend cyanogen's)
SPL doesn't matter (but I recommend Hard or Engineering)
I also recommend you get the latest radio update (as stated in OP), (this is not required, but I recommend), since you would normally get this with the Cupcake CRB43 update from TMO and the whole point of this ROM is to be as TMO like as possible, etc.

[ROM] Experimental endMOD 0.2 based on CyanogenMod 4.1.99 (Dream) 06/10/09

EXPERIMENTAL Mod based on CyanogenMOD. I like CyanogenMOD, but i don't use some funcionts provided with it, and i made custom ROM, based on CyanogenMOD for self. Maybe other will also enjoy my mod. endMOD has lot of useful applications included. This rom are made for standard daily use. Currently it is 'just Cyan with some little modifications'.

Future (...)
- ReiserFS (work faster on small files)
- WiFi with wpa2-enterprise support
So is this just a Cyan build with some apps added and removed with ringtones and a new APN?
This isn't a ROM.. sorry..
Technically it is, because he is custom making it and packaging it. The only step he is skipping is the compiling. He gives credit where it is due and its professional, seems fine to me.
I'm not a fan of tons of stuff in custom roms only becuase it makes it hard to update those apps, being as they are system apps, but if you put them on the rom w/ a script to put them on the a2sd side then all is good...glad to see this tho! hope tons of ppl mod..i love choice! I am waiting for a rom the reincites everything that is running at the time..or maybe i should do my homework and figure out a way to do that w/ my current script....

Did you run this all day? How is home screen swiping?
So far i am finding this to be a great rom. Only thing I'm not to happy with is the wiping for each build. I have way to many email accounts and settings to have to wipe every update. Other then that great rom love it need it eant some more of it. I'm finding that when i try not to wipe and do an update i get error at line 353/343 (don't remember which one to be exact) but with a full wipe of factory settings, partition and dalvik-cahe i dont get error.
gonna give it a go, thanks!
ha, i just flashed 0.9, flashing this now...tonight is a good nite for 2.1! why do some have car home and others don't? r they HTC proprietary?

With Amon RA's you wipe factory, cache, and ext, then repair ext. then flash rom

Working good!
Installed half an hour ago, without partitioning SD.
Everything seems to be working good, though the home screen is a bit laggy...
It's awesome seeing the animated Nexus live wallpaper working on the Magic. Am going to stick with this till the slowness gets to me (here's hoping it gets updated to a faster version).

Thanks for uploading and making improvements on this rom, I'm really enjoying it on my Magic. Multi-touch isn't very responsive though.
Hope ta see improvements and a working video camera update soon. Keep up the good work!

But the port file will give ONLY the original features, not the ones I added!!!
"DietEclair" is the codename for the original OpenEclair version. I named mine "AppleSucks" to be different, and because I HATE Apple

Thank you very much!
But I have a problem about the received sms's time when the phone is off. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=641663
This problem is also existing in the openeclair 2.1 rom. Could you help me to fix it, or tell it to the openeclair project members? Thanks! It is very confused.
There is two "android keyboard" input in the settings. why ? ...
Great rom, finally got my HSDPA to work. first boot really quick I like it, looking forward to the next upgrade, keep it on!
Thank you for this.......but it runs way to "laggy" on my Magic 32a (w. same SPL and RADIO as you) to be usable, sometimes it freezes in different menus......
please fix Bluetooth............thank you
Is there any way to get the H back when you have HSDPA signal.
I know it's not necessary but it would be a good feeling to have it.
Thanks in advance
Hm... does it need to wipe if coming from 'DietEclair'+bcrook's port?
Curious
When is 1.3 due out? I would love to see the camera photo review issue as well as video resolved

[ROM] Biffmod 2.1 - Leaving on a Jet Plain - (11/04/10)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=532719Hey all. I wanted a new FROYO build with apps2ext without themes and all the other mess that comes with ROMS these days. So here it is. Based off the latest CyanogenMod6 build. I'm not a dev, nor do I claim to be. I just tinker and put stuff together. Infinitybiff started a great rom which was then lifted to greater heights by RK and the BiffMod Squad, and now it's my turn and I am glad to take it over and keep this Rom alive and going strong but be under no illusion that this is and always will be a TEAM effort with everyones input from coders to end users appreciated and much love should be shown to them all. It goes without saying that if your phone blows up or otherwise breaks its not my problem and I will laugh, I'm mean like that!!!
The Team That Brings You BiffMod:
THE BIFF MOD SQUAD:
Team Leader: Shadowch31 - Welcome to 'The Reign Of Terror'
Assistant Team Lead: Currently vacant
Developer: RoyalKnight6190 (Semi Retired)
Developer: Ezterry3
BiffMod now has it's own IrC channel #Biffmod Click HERE for the web client ~ All are welcome to come along and join the channel to chat about all things BiffMod. This is a very handy tool as it allows members to interact easier and also for the BiffMod Squad to be able to help users with problems faster. You will find me in there most of the time and if I'm not then you can catch me at [email protected]
Thanks to Infinitybiff, XxKolohexX, ChromerSmith, Kingklick, Firerat, Cyanogen, HTC, Google, Dumfuq, Houka420, and of course the guy that made this all possible JesusFreke!!!! we wouldnt be where we are now if it wasnt for him.
Like I have said a lot Sharing is Caring so the Camera fix, Single Swipe of Notification and a few other minor fixes and upgrades have been done by the hard work of the CM People who work there butts off to bring us the great work they do. So to Cyanogen and his Team THANK YOU!!! Also I would like to thank Firerat to which we are borrowing heavily from his All In One Patch (1.4) to which we made the scripts from, so to you sir Thank You!!.

PC Users - Guide ADB,FastBoot and Nandroid for Noobs
Linux Users - How to Set up Android SDK/ADB/Fastboot on Ubuntu Linux
Install Guide By Ohsaka:
No Multi-Reboot Required Anymore!
1 - (Optional,Recommended) Perform a BART backup from Recovery
2 - Power off phone
3 - Wipe system partition using one of these 4 methods:
*Volume down, home back and power for system wipe then use amon ra to wipe the rest
*fastboot erase system -w (Boot into Fastboot by holding back and power on at same time)
*adb shell mount -a; rm -rf /system/*; (ADB via recovery)
*Or using this flashable zip - Download Here Flash in Recovery reboot into recovery after flashed, Not the preferred method!!
4 - Hold Home and power on phone into Recovery mode
5 - Wipe SD Ext and repair SD Ext partition (other wipe options are redundant due to Fastboot erase)
6 - Flash the latest BiffMod ROM
6.b - ONLY if you have a 3.22.* radio install EBI1 kernel (port) file [magic32a/rogers dreams]
7 - Flash the latest BiffMod-Gapps update
8 - (Optional) Flash a BiffMod theme
9 - (Optional) Flash the ADW Launcher installer
10 - Reboot, Let screen go black before proceeding
11 - Click Menu, finish setup wizard and skip account sign in
12 - Click Menu, go to Settings, click Accounts & Sync. Sign into Google account, wait for sync to completely finish before proceeding.
13 - Click Menu, go to Settings and click cm6-BiffMod Settings
14 - Click Application Settings and check “Allow Application Moving”, dont change install location
15 - (Optional) Click Back, click Performance Settings, check Lock Home in Memory, Change VM Heap Size to 24M
15a- You can decide if you want to use Compcache or Swap (and/or JIT). We recommend Swap only and no JIT, which are the defaults now.
16 - Enjoy 2.1 and download apps and finish setting phone up your own way.
Note: You may have noticed the new option to "Enable dex2sd" under cm6-Biffmod -> Application. This will move the dalvik-cache directory to and from your sdcard. We recommend keeping it on internal memory because it will be faster. However, if you install a large number of applications then you will need to move the dalvik-cache to sdcard. After you change the setting and restart, the initial boot will take longer than normal because it has to recreate the cache directory in its new location.

I think this needs a few explanations:
Why again a ROM based on old sense? In my opinion its still the fastest option for our hardware.
There are a few ROM's based on official HTC Gingerbread, why build one more? I want to have a stable and fast ROM with the most app-space possible. Cause of this, i build a full odexed ROM. To gain maximum space, there is a oxygen r2 HBOOT version. I could not find a ROM like this...
Why AN-Droid? Its simple, Anderl's Android = AN-Droid
ODEXED and Oxygen R2? A example: I installed around 100 userapps (including 7 big games) and still have 190 mb internal free...
I use the data++ build with Oxygen R2 hboot - This is my daily ROM!
Believe me, this ROM is highly optimized and really fast!

- change/delete if needed before flash in the ROM.zip (use 7zip)

- I use my phone and dont just carry it around - the battery is enough for me
- improved with newer kernel and a few tweakes
- see battery saving tips in post 2 too
- see it yourself
+[stock/data++] HTC "Stock" kernel
- stable and fast enough atm.
- perhaps i change it later to make more tweaks possible.
- since build 1.1.0 changed. See changelog. If you want the "Stock" kernel, see the end of this post
+[stock] stock hboot spezial
- system-size is ~240MB. Compatible with stock-HBOOT (no need to change if you are S-on - if not, see http://alpharev.nl)
- all ROM-data is saved on NAND
- app2sd+ is build-in, app-data and dalvik-cache is on SD-EXT
- dalvik-cache could be moved to NAND if needed too -more speed (flashable file see post2)
- after fresh flash ~144 MB internal memory free
- 03.11.2012, little problem with pvt4 devices is possible. Caused by different blocksize, pvt4 devices have a little lower /system size. If you are unable to do a successful flash with a pvt4 device and stock edition of this Rom, do this: open the Rom.zip with 7zip on your pc (dont extract!) and delete /system/app/maps.apk. flash this modded Rom.zip - will change this in next build.
+[data++] data++ spezial
- system-size is ~92MB. Compatable with Oxygen R2, CM7 r2, Bravo N1 Table, Bravo Data++ & Bravo Sense Hboot's
- 332 MB Space in data with oxygen r2 hboot for apps and dalvik-cache
- app2sd+ is build-in too
- dalvik-cache could be moved to sd-ext if needed too -even more apps (flashable file see post2)
- after fresh flash ~300 MB internal memory free
- radio's could not be flashed with recovery if you are on a hboot with only 5MB (like oxygen r2)
- use the fastboot command 'fastboot flash radio radio.img' in fastboot mode (see http://alpharev.nl)
+[data++] some parts of the rom are saved on SD-ext
- system/framework --> sd-ext/framework_s
- system/app --> sd-ext/app_s
- system/media --> sd-ext/media_s
- think about this if you use the UOT-kichen

# Add-Ons / Mods and Informations
*** For flashable files: Use only the version for your build, flash in recovery, disable signature verification if needed, nandroid is recommended, If you get problems with a flash, try to mount sd-ext in recovery before flash. Don't flash a theme or things from other ROM's. This ROM is odexed and its possible that it will not work or end in a unusable installation (new flash needed).***
QuickSettings/RecentApps vs Widgetsoid:
If you want to have QuickSettings/RecentApps like in new Sense? See this post for informations and download of this MOD.
But: Perhaps you want to try Widgetsoid!? Look here!
Remove %-battery, autobrightness-mod and green overscroll glowing (like stock ROM - CRT Animation is still there, see the next position if needed)
1.x.x ROM's:
- data++ Build: Download An-Droid_StockBaterie_no-glow_data.zip
- stock Build: Download An-Droid_StockBaterie_no-glow_stock_V3.zip (first MOD not working - thanks to Haxxler)2.x.x ROM's:
- data++ Build: Download An-Droid_2_StockBaterie_no-glow_data.zip
- stock Build: Download An-Droid_2_StockBaterie_no-glow_stock.zipUse only the version for your build, flash in recovery, disable signature verification if needed, nandroid is recommendedIf you get problems with a flash, try to mount sd-ext in recovery before flash
Disable CRT animation
Use the spare parts app. Set the Windows and Trasition animation speed to fast, that's all...
If you want a flashable solution, (with and without stock battery and green overscroll) see here
dalvik2nand & dalvik2ext
in data++ build dalvik-cache is on nand
in stock build dalvik-cache is on sd-ext
What you get:
- With the provided patches you are able to switch this like you want.
- Dalvik-cache on nand gives you a bit faster ROM, but costs you space in /data. In the data++ build this is usually ok, in the stock build the available space in /data is not big... After a fresh flash dalvik-cache needs around 33MB
- I recommend to use dalvik on nand only with the data++ build. Its possible to use with stock build, but the /space in data will be low.
If you use dalvik2ext with the data++ build, you will be able to install a lot more apps, but the ROM could be a little slower.
- dalvik2ext: Download An-Droid_dalvik2ext
- dalvik2nand: Download An-Droid_dalvik2nand
nandroid is recommended, flash in recovery, disable signature verification if needed, stock and data++ build is supported
What is on your SD-ext? See here
Edit: If you update your ROM, the dalvik-cache will be on the "old" position. I recommend to flash the dalvik2nand / dalvik2ext patch again (without a reboot) after you flashed the update! If you don't do this, a bootloop is the possible reason (caused by too low memory to build the dalvik-cache!)
Black HTC Clock-Widget Like the stock Weather Clock Widget but in black
1.x.x ROM's:
- data++ Build: Download An-Droid_Black_HtcClockWidget_data.zip
- stock Build: Download An-Droid_Black_HtcClockWidget_stock.zip2.x.x ROM's:
- data++ Build: Download An-Droid_2_Black_HtcClockWidget_data.zip
- stock Build: Download An-Droid_2_Black_HtcClockWidget_stock.zipUse only the version for your build, flash in recovery, disable signature verification if needed, nandroid is recommended
If you want to go back to the white clock, see here
Sense 4 HTC Clock-Widget
see here for the download link
Expresso - Mod for 2.x.x ROM's - Thanks to AlexV for allowing me to use this on my ROM!!!
It's working with the black and white clock too, see above for the links!
- data++ Build: An-Droid_2_Expresso_data.zip
- stock Build: An-Droid_2_Expresso_stock.zip
(Semi-)Transparent appdrawer
As the title says, enables Semi-Transparent app-drawer (modded Rosie). See here for download links
Old/New Market & enable/disable MarketAutoUpdate - Neverupdate Market Don't use this with 2.x ROM's
Use the market-version (old/new) you want.
Enable or disable market auto-update.
See here for informations and download
DSP Manager - Equalizer for your phone
You can use the attached DSPManager.apk and install it on your phone. But - changing the equalizer-settings can potentially harm your hardware (i haven't seen something like that, but could be... ) So, use this on your own risk!
Disable Hardware-Key Backlight
Its possible to disable the backlight of the hardware buttons. See this post for more information's and download!
Things left out of the Gingerbread build...
...can be downloaded here (Wallpapers)
and here (Teeter and Torchlight app) - Thanks to beartiger!
Trackpad mod's for 2.x.x ROM's
Trackpad to wake - no unlock:
-data++ Build: Download An-Droid_2_tp2wake_data.zip
-stock Build: Download An-Droid_2_tp2wake_stock.zip
Trackpad to nothing - no wake and no unlock:
-data++ Build: Download An-Droid_2_tp2nothing_data.zip
-stock Build: Download An-Droid_2_tp2nothing_stock.zip
2 way call recording
This is possible since ROM build 1.1.0. You need a app to do this for you. You can use some apps from the market, or the attached rVoix.apk
How to remove bootsound and bootanimation
You can remove only the bootsound or even both if you want. How to do this, is described here
HTC IME mod
A perhaps better keyboard: HTC_IME_hi.apk
Battery saving tips...
- Disable pocket-mode in settings - sound
- Undervolt a bit - but do this carefully! (Incredicontrol)
- underclock the ROM a bit - usually it runs smooth and responsible even with 766 Mhz :-D
- change the CPU governor to smartassV2 (use SetCPU for example)
- disable gps and WiFi if not in use
- check your sync settings and use a lower sync frequency if possible
- use a app called 'Current Widget' from Market to see how much power your phone consumes (mine in standby around 2-4 mA)
- you can use a app called 'Android Assistant' to see in detail how much power a app uses - perhaps you installed a program which consumes a lot power...
Original GPS settings
download and flash An-Droid_orig_gps.zip, if you get GPS problems with 2.0.1 and newer ROM's
(works with data++ and stock edition)

Nice!! Been waiting for an old Sense-ROM with CM7r2 support
Just a quick question, can I flash snq 111118 kernel over the stock one?
And if it works, would it enable EXT4 compatibility?

Hello!
Yep, exactly that was the idea with this ROM - "Old" Sense, odexed and smaller hboots...
And yes, you can use all GB snq- kernels with this ROM. They are already tested...

great job anderl78, I will try to get this loaded tomorrow and check it out! I do hope to see a few of your other tweaks appear as add ons soon as well, maybe your black clock ;-)
Have you seen this thread and is the idea of any use to you and your new rom, it is a non symlinking data2sd option called int2sd?

Yep, the ext4-support comes with the kernel - but the installation/flash sequence is not "tuned" for ext4... you should be able to flash the ROM on ext4, if you mount sd-ext before the ROM-flash. After the ROM-flash, dont reboot and flash the kernel
I don't see much benefit with ext4 - its even possible, that it harms your sd-card... (more read/write caused by the journaling of ext4)

Hello!
Thanks, you too! i think, a few mods should be possible in the near future... Please report back, how it goes for you
I read a bit into this, but i dont think its really necessary for "old"-Sense-ROM's. In my opinion the ROM is faster, if some parts of /data are on NAND. With my ROM its easily possible to install 300+ apps on out desire - without even dalvik on SD-ext....

yep, you are right. At first i named it "An-Droid_1.0.1_Oxygen_R2.zip", but this name was even more confusing... ;-)
I think, its explained in the OP, i hope people read it carefully.... If its really necessary i always could give it a other name later

Will try it !
