hey hows everyone doing? i was wondering if there is an app that i can use for my htc hd2 phone? any help would be appreciated thanks.

are they not illigal in most places?

WTF is a police scanner? You mean a GPS-navigator, which shows you the radar-cam in traffic? Try a look a sygic-mobile maps.
But without any information what "a police-scanner" is and where you have seen this app, the information from your side is very poor....

I think you mean Scanning RF channels, As this isnt part of the HD2 Hardware the answer is no, sorry. Dont think I have heard of any mobile that does...
Only thing I could think of would be streaming via web realtime updates but also never heard of any sites that do it...

Yep, you can listen to police scanners from around the world with WunderRadio

The iPhone has it.

There are also programs for the HD2. A Dutchman has made a program where you can track the police, firefighters, ambulance and Royal Dutch Rescue Society via RSS feed and google maps mobile. Perhaps there is something in other countries.

Thanks for the post, listening to police in the USA is not against the law.
Actually Radio Shack sells receivers, but with the digital invasion, it is getting tougher to hear them, frequency hoping and such.
Analog signals were easier to follow

I couldn't get wunderradio to work for me, but this is what I did do to FINALLY get a LIVE POLICE SCANNER.
Download http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/
GSPlayer for PocketPC and install it.
Then go to http://m.radioreference.com/?a=la and find the .mp3 stream you like.
Then just copy it into GSplayer. I did this copy and paste way with mymobiler.
It should buffer and then connect.
IF you guys find an easier way please share.

OMG... I'm an idiot. It works with Wunder Radio. Just copy the url into the "OpenURL" and it should connect. For the life of me I didn't see "OPENURL" and was trying to use the search function....

yeah metta 24 is absolutely correct. my friend with an iphone has an app where you can listen to live police feeds. lol its not illgeal and usually you can get them from the county's website of where one lives. lol some old people listen to live police radio feeds to see if there is trouble in a neighborhood. i just thought it would be nice to have one and i saw it on the iphone

Yeah the iPhone has a couple of these apps. They are pretty cool.
That is one thing I'm going to miss and probably be pissed off about once I make the permanent switch to my HD2 from my iPhone.
The iPhone is the preferred platform to make a mobile app for in the eyes of most businesses. I mean the App store has only been around for a couple years and it has pretty much blown away what WinMo has to offer.
Yes there are a lot of "apps" for WInMo but they are strewn all over the place. If you look in M$ Marketplace under free/utilities there's like 14...
14?! Come on. There are like a few hundred or thousand for iPhone.
Oh well though. The positives still outweigh the negatives for me.

I dunno if they have that for WinMo, but I did find this one cab that turns your phone into a lightsaber, pretty kewl.

I might be wrong but I think I saw this on the front page a while ago. Good shout to get it up there tho. My memory ain't what it was.

This software is amazing, i've been playing with it all day. Its just as good as my brothers DJ kit apart from that you get a mono sound when you are monitoring one song while the other song is playing.

Could do with auto cue to skip the silence at the start of tracks though, and of course for our HD2's to have two 3.5mm outs!

EDIT - Bought it and have now decided it's pants. Can't handle a lot of MP3s in a directory, which is useless if you're at a party.

Yeah ive had this app for a while, dont really use it alot but cant find where i read about it, at the time there were several users who didnt think much of it and referring to other similar apps. Cant remember the name of them though.

I would like to know a source where I can download Music and Movies for my Asus Transformer.
I love Bollywood music and movie...
Any help will be appreciated.
Also, if some one can tell me where I can find Kids-Boy (2 years old) Audio Books for him to read.

No offense, I know how rampantly popular and culturally acceptable it is for Bollywood stuff to get pirated, it's pretty obvious what you were trying to ask in the OP.

You can find the books on Kindle/Nook. Music on Amazon MP3 store. Not sure about the movies though. I know Rajshri website has a lot of hindi movies which you can watch through the browser

It was obvious from the OP that he was asking where he could download music and movies. I could, at a pinch, read in to it further, but that would just be putting my own opinion on the question.
A less acusing answer was provided by tornadog... maybe your's was just a rant?

i totally agree with you. netflix is so gay. i have looked around and find some interesting alternatives like onchannel.net for streaming movies and tv shows and filmshout.com for live internet tv channels. hope these will work for you like it did for me.

I feel like this thread is asking to get something that is copyrighted which is a big no no in the XDA guidelines. refrain from asking how to get access to something that is copyrighted and will lead to XDA getting blamed for giving advice to illegal things and possible sued, we dont want to loose a great site like XDA where we get great advice and our android problems solved
