My main smartphone is the touchscreen Dopod 838pro.
I also have a HP iPaq 512 Voice Messenger smartphone which has been used as a secondary phone with pre-paid roaming SIM.
Recently, I decided to add some apps to the iPaq.
I had to key in some serial numbers.
I looked high & low (manuals, search this forum, etc) but just could not for the life of me find out how to delete an wrong character during data entry?
I can dove the cursor left & right but no amount of button pressing will cause it to delete a character!
Can anybody tell me how to do it?
This is really embarassing!

I have just changed from HTC (Orange SPV M700 version) and bought a Touch Cruise which is great, but am having trouble with hands free in my car. The previous phone had SAP disabled by orange and only hands free would work, but the whole contacts directory came over to the car.I bought the TC without contract so have none of Oranges bastardizations and RSAP. As my car (Audi) has a full blutooth kit with antenna this is great because I can rely on the cars exterior antenna. BUT then the problems start. The manual says that only the sim contact list will be transferred in RSAP and I have more than the limit of 200. So I decided to sopy over the primary contacts to SIM. Worse in SIM manager where there are three numbers, say work, home and mobile, they should be copied as individual entries suffixed by selected codes /w etc. I have checked these ae set but when copying I am asked "name already exists do you want to overwrite" and whether I click yes or no it still over writes. So I only ever get 1 number...... except if the name is less tha 12 characters and there is space for the suffix, then all 2 numbers come over!
Now when interogating the contacts on the SIM I see that each has the ability to sore 3 numbers, but clearly the SIM manager on TC doesn't know this!
Anyone got any ideas..

Hi all,i just upgraded a friend's prophet to wm 6.1...everything works fine, except for one strange problem:when he call some operator (vodafone) number (to check remaining minutes for promotions and stuff like that) the numbers pressed on the dialer (to select the various options) haven't any effect.
The number appears on the screen, but it's not "received" by the remote recorded tape.
Any idea about the cause?
Thanks for help
I crossposted in prophet mobile 6 section,i've seen many "help requesting topic" there too,and it seems it has more active users...close this one, please (i hope it's not a too bad violation )
Hi all. I have an HTC HD2 in the UK on Orange which gives me billions of free minutes - great for me to use for my business calls. At least it would be if it wasn't for the pain of having to read every number from Outlook or my browser and punch it into my phone by hand.
Is there a bit of software out there that will allow me to dial through my usb or BlueTooth connected phone from my Win7(32) PC? Perhaps from the clipboard or a context menu. If it uses my PC mic/speakers as a hands-free that's also a bonus, but not essential.
All my searches on the subject return info on VOIP etc, which I'm not looking for
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Cheers!

Hi guys, Sorry If I am in the wrong section but I am looking for some help, To check my balance my network (2 degrees an nz network) requires you to call *100#*1 it then sends a message to your phone with your balance. Alternatively I can call *100# then a menu pops up and asks me to either input 1 for balance or 2 for topup. Once I input 1 and press ok I get USSS error service not supported. I am looking for a way to get around this. So i have a few questions.
1. Is there a patch for this available for windows mobile 6.5?
2. Would this type of message count as an mms? Because I do not have that set up.
3. Are There any applications that will work on my device to keep track of balance? (customizable pricing etc.)
Phone info:
Acer Betouch E101 running WIndows mobile 6.5
WQVGA
Thanks for any help.
Also yes I have tried speaking to 2 degrees, They weren't too helpful.
MyTouch 4G Slide on Tmobile monthly plan running 2.3.4. No modifications. I am using a SIp program called VOX to make data calls on my data plan. When driving I wish to be able to make an outgoing call through Bluetooth with the Genius Button or a Handsfree App without touching my phone. With the Genius Button I can almost do this, but then a box pops-up giving me three choices: SIP, SIP [highlighted & registered], and Mobile. I have to manually choose the highlighted choice which is VOX. I wish to eliminate the box so that I do not have to touch my phone while driving. I believe my phone settings are correct. I have spent hours searching and talking to HTC, TMobile, and VOX. I do not wish to use Google Voice apps.

Most likely you have to root the phone.
I have same problem with navigation: no matter how many times I set other map software as default, it always pops up with choices of Google Navigation, effing TeleNav junk (always highlighted as default) and other navigation progs when installed. regardless of me checking the box "set this as default", all of it will pop up again next time as if I have never checked the "set as default" box I guess its the same behaviour with your SIP progs.
From what I gathered, only rooting and removing the programs you don't want to use can fix this.
