Hi all, i have three questions :
- Is it posible to change the dictionary of my phone? I've an english rom but i'm french and when i write a sms i have english words upside my keyboard.
- Is there a windows mobile emulator without setup? (for a pendrive, because i've vista and not an admin)
- Is it posible to import sms of my nokia (csv files) in my windows phone? (acer tempo x960)
Thanks in advance!
No ideas all?
i'm afraid the first 2 won't happen, but i think you can import your text's into winmo, not sure how though

Hello,
I might sound naive but would it be able to run a desktop simple application (such as a dictionnary in my case) on my windows mobile device ?
Thank you in advance for any tip
No.
Different OS and different processor architecture mean your WM device wouldn't have a clue as to what to do with this app.
There DOS emulators that can run old apps with varying degree of success bu nothing for windows as far as I know.

As it's been pointed out, it's pretty futile to try to emulate anything. Use a remote controller application - see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=288506 for more info
EDIT: I've just noticed you've already read the article
There is a DOS emulator for ppc though.
BTW, there are a lot of dictionaries for the Pocket PC, including even Japanese. Did you read my related articles?

No, I looked around, but could not find your article. I would be glad to have the link.
I also found out that roadlingua dictionary shell (http://www.absoluteword.com/roadlng/) might be a solution, as I can create my own data base. I might be able to tune the one that is working on my desktop and implement it on this shell (french<>japanese). I will give it a try this w.e.
I also found these dictionaries for Japanese<>English (most of them freeware)
・EBPocket
・WordNet 2.0 - Dictionary & Thesaurus

Hello john,
It might not be the answer you need or the easiest, but this is my trick :
Change your Rom to an asian rom
If you still want english menus, I think there is a soft that have been developped to then change in english (or other languages). search Asukal posts.
ok, not the easiest...
cheers
Hi dam,
i want to use an english Rom, so it's really not the easiest way
i have find out, that i need the unicode fonts. Google says that this font is 22MB big, so i need to put the font on my memory card. There is a program called "Font on Storage" but this program doesn't work with WM5 :-(
Is there some similar way or program?
thanx.
John

Hi people.
I'm in Japan and will be for a couple of years. I'm looking to get the x01t (Toshiba G900) smartphone very soon which comes with windows Mobile 6 Professional on it.
Anyway, unfortunately the Windows OS will be the Japanese version.
To make things easier for my everyday use - because I don't read Japanese very well - is it possible to rename most menu options in Windows Mobile 6 like we can in regular PC windows? If I can then I will try to make it as English as possible for everyday quick access use. (Other stuff - I'll just ask other people)
That's basically the question. (to make it as English and quick access as possible without trying to put an English OS on it - which I haven't read anyone do yet over here)
Thanks for your time.
Grant.
To rename most of the OS menu you will need Rom editing. Not easy and fast way.
Hmm. Ok Thanks very much.
I was hoping there was like a right-click type of menu with a rename option like in regular windows (for many options).
Thanks anyway.
Hi all i am new att this but i need some help.
I got hp 614c with WM 6.1.
Quastions:
1: Can i use HTC made WM 6.1 roms?
2: Can it take dmg if i use other roms then my own HP IpaQ 614 roms?
3: I need a swedish xt9 for my ipaq (tryed several, non working, i'll try anything you think might work)
4: Is there anyway i can get WM 6.1 on swedish?
5: Can anyone recommend a easy app to send same sms to multiple contacts without add them 1 by 1 (so i can add several contacts in the list by check them or something)
Thanks in advance //AzAkiii
PS. I Searched for theese things all day, and i got no luck! thats why i am posting it!
You will brick your phone if you try and load a rom not made for your phone.
Try group sms for sending sms messages to mass groups of people.
thanks!
Then i wont to that for sure!
Still wondering about xt9 for swedish on my ipac 614c
search for GroupSMS 1.4.3 in the forum.
also, try going to www.cootek.com and check their forum for a swedish language pack for TouchPal 3.5...
nevermind... saved you the trouble.. this is the direct link to their forum to the swedish language pack post with the cab file.
you will have to BUY touchpal to use it.

I don't know about the xt9 you'll just have to try some different programs, you'l just have to find something compatible. This is an htc forum and thats what i'm familiar with, i don't know to much about ipaq's (hp) (much less a swedish version )
Please, I need help!
Is it possible to find somewhere a original software (Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional) for HTC Touch Diamond... When I got this phone it was this software but on Dutch languange, and my friend installed me a WM 6.5 but it was too slow... I want that software where I can again choose different type of keyboards, and not be able to write messages only with my pen, I want to use my fingers to write text! I want again that keyboard on screen which you can choose from messages menu. Sorry if I made mistakes in text, my English is not so good!
I hope you will help me!
Thank you...
