Is there any theme for Not rooted Nexus one available? - Nexus One Themes and Apps

Hi,
I am wondering whether any theme is available for nexus one which does not need the device to be rooted?
Thanks.

yes in the market GDE @home ETC...

Home++ is getting alot of good press. Alot of rooted people tend to use it as well due to the speed.

Oh. Then download gingerbread launcher from market. But if you hate stock android launcher, then I say adw ex if you don't care to pay. And launcher pro if you care.
Edit: you clearly say your going to buy in first post so adw ex. Don't know why I missed that.

It's really a matter of preference. I can never make up my mind, so I am a collector of home launchers :-D
Some people really like zeam for its bare-bones simplicity.
It is far too plain for my tastes.
I ran lpp, adw and adw ex for a while. I like adw ex's infinite secondary tool bar, but I also like lpp's smoothness.
However, my current hands-down favorite is GO launcher. It is very similar to lpp (15-item scrollable dock (not ****. Goddamn swype :-D) with secondary actions in each item), but I love how I can randomize all the screen transitions and how little overhead it consumes.
I'm also a big fan of go sms and the system monitor widget.
I'll switch back whenever the other 2 make updates. But you'll need to test-drive them all to make the most informed decision.

Zeam needs to be in that poll

My launcher of choice is the Pro ver. But my wife swears by ADW. I like it more simple and she like the frills and all the extra skins you can apply. But as always it's your choice.

Imo, a good android app is always worth paying for, even if it's donating a couple bucks to the dev. It's the only way to keep the dev community vibrant and thriving

no MIUI? no Problem! there is something to fill in the GAP!

Hi Customization freeks! Howdidoo?
It’s quite long we are waiting for MIUI to be ported to our fav SGT. But seem’s like things are pretty slow. So, there is something I come across the market to fill in the GAP.
Yes, It’s again a Chinese Theme based application works pretty well on upto 4.3” screens but do not disappoints the 7 incher either.
I wonder how XDA Developer.com did not focus on this application. Here’s the market link.
https://market.android.com/search?q=sskin+butterfly&so=1&c=apps
The previews of the themes are in Chinese but when you apply the themes, they adopt the system language. Well, I really don’t know for the other languages but yes for the English. At least 15 themes are free and there is no sign anywhere on the net that, someone must have uploaded the paid themes. I guess this application is new and will do wonders gradually.
Apart from this, I would like to suggest few more fancy applications which you guys must be well aware of for those who are not, try them.
Go Keyboard,
Go Contact’s,
Go Weather,
Battery widget viewer,
Circle Launcher.
I hope this will keep you busy until MIUI pops up
So what exactly does it theme? Is it a replacement launcher?

seems like there are people like minds. only difference is i play with it and stay awake, you play with it when you don't get sleep.
i wish someone could've updated the paid theme's they are sexy specially the rain theme.
It's slow, and the customization options that you have is even less than Zeam. You can't even set it to have more rows x columns in the homescreen, nor can you resize widgets.
And it looks Korean since most of its themes are based on Korean artists.

yeah man its cool. i like the flip of the theme. it's pretty fast on my tab i wonder how come its slow on other users as mentioned above. some people do not reboot their tabs as a result they become heavy. a reboot is a must in a day.

Disable carousel animation on unlock

Is there any way to disable this bloody carousel animation on every unlocking of the phone? I seriously hate it. It made me switch to adw to get rid of it. But adw is buggy, not updated and freezes a lot (my advice: don't buy this crap!), so not very much of an improvement.
Any resolution welcome!

I really dislike the pointless unlock home screen animation as well.
Been using Go Launcher. No bugginess that I've seen. You might want to give it a try.

Adw is a great launcher and I've used it on every single one of my phones. Before knocking it you might want to learn how to use it.

Thank you arrogant. I have been using adw for the past two years. You might wanna keep your lessons for you and accept that many users experience freeze with adw, just read market comments for instance. I am pissed with anderweb cause his app is relatively expensive but he has been quite a let down lately.
Launcher pro has more lag but does not freeze at least.
Somone with an android phone suggested me Launcher 7... i downloaded it,and used for 30 minutes...
it sucks....

[Q] Gingerbread Launchers

Hi All, I'm currently running Wolf's Gingerbread rom and absolutely loving it. However I'm not too fond of the stock GB Launcher. My previous favorite was ADW Launcher EX, as it had lots of customizations available, however I've found that since updating to GB, a lot of the exclusive widgets don't show up in third-party launchers.
What is the best alternative to the stock GB launcher that will give me all the available widgets. I prefer the vertical scrolling app-drawer, as opposed to the 'page-style' in GB personally... Suggestions?
I really like SPB shell, It brings alot of widgets. Downfall is it is 15 dollars :\
Thanks, I'll look into that one. It looks like a nice 3D layout. As long as it's smooth, I'd be willing to give it a try.
(makes me wish the google return policy was 24hrs not 15 minutes )
Spb does not support some stock SE widgets like timescape etc. I don't think there are any 3rd party launchers that do, sorry...

I did find a 'free' version, but I didn't install it as the Permissions were extensive and it came from an unreliable source. I may get brave and try it out, but having the new SE weather widget and all the rest of the new ones at my disposal would be nice.
I just assume the 3rd-party launchers will get updated with access to the exclusive widgets, but I could be wrong.
I couldn't get SPB Shell to work on my phone. After patching it as indicated in the readme, it refused to open. I might need a different version...
I'm still on 2.1 - getting ready to use WB's rom. I'm currently using Go Launcher Pro. It's been fairly cool and has a lot of features and fairly configurable. I can get the default widgets to work with it as well. I have Timescape running on my main screen, and the power control widget on another.
I will try Go Launcher on 2.3.3 after I upgrade, and see if widgets stop working.
Keep us updated.
Personally, using 3rd Party Launchers on 2.1 (and 2.2 wolfbreak), I had no issues accessing all of the widgets, but for some reason on Gingerbread, only the stock launcher seems to have access to them all.
Is there still no way to 'unlock' all of the Widgets from the stock launcher to third parties?
I'm surprised no one else has wanted ALL of their widgets in other launchers like ADW or GoLauncher.

Infuse with Sense, is it possible (Im guessing not)?

Im referring to a Sense ROM but Im guessing its not possible, though Ive seen some ppl use LauncherPro+ and they get look a like sense widgets and the dock bar (Rosie) at the bottom just like the actual sense looks. Can someone confirm this being possible?? Thnx

Hey I played with a friends Infuse and installed launcher pro + and the sense skin and it looks great, but can someone tell me how to get the dock (Rosie) at the bottom to look like the sense one instead of the 5 icons?
-Pü3rTøRr0
its def in the settings, jus play around with it, should take like 30 secs... as far as lag, in my experience, none watsoever. imo lp sense is smoother than sense on that evo, but those are from my experiences. probably cuz our phones are faster than the evo...
