That will make the wallpaper in low quality.
I prefer a high one that display in home tab but not in all tab.
It seems the application which is provided in above post can't do this.
yes the application makes the wallpaper work on every tab, have you tried to change the wallpaper through the windows mobile menu?
settings>personal>today>use this picture as the background>browse
You have to install .NET Framework v3.5 for mobile on your device also to get this work.

sorry, ignore me, i just asked a stupid question.
Did someone solve the problem, couse only the other tabs will get the new wallpaper
Does anybody know how to deactivate these wallpapers and get for home tab the same simple black picture like this one we have in all other tabs?
The Home Tab background problem is an easy registry fix
Delete the data found at:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\DefaultHomeBackgroundPath
Tada!!!

[Issue] Home Tab Wallpaper

hey guys,
Just wondering why i am not able to change my home tab wallpaper...for some reason it is not changing, it is staying black background!
after hard reset i was able to change it without any problem however after instaling several essential HD2 cabs (20 shortcut, and many others that are available on this forum) I am not able to replace the default one. Usually there is a message poping up asking you whether you want change the wall paper to the default one, but i am not getting it.
Ironically i am capabe of changing it to the animated wall paper...I am really puzzled!!!
Can anyone help please?

Use the animated wallpaper option, but browse to the wallpaper of your choice instead.
If that doesn't work then one of the "essential" cabs that you have installed has caused the problem. You may be able to resolve it by uninstalling the culprit, but you may need a hard reset as not all mods get uninstalled fully.

I am afraid the alternative solution did not work!!!
now the question remain which cab is causing the conflict?
thats what i have installed\:
20 home screen shortcut
BSB tweak
disable auto device lock
keypad led cotrol
mark all emails read
Touch X bluetooth
touch x task manager
touch x reset
xda shutdown
torch button
audio recen_ (record conversation)
mark all emails read
I've got the same problem..
From the cabs you have installed, I installed these too:
20 home screen shortcut
Touch X bluetooth
touch x task manager
touch x reset
torch button

it is definetly the 20 shortcut, i have unistalled it and it worked fine.
so i guess we know what the problem is...but had to install the 20 shortcut back because it is very usefull
True, it is the shortcut-cab that causes the problem. But after selecting my new background and re-installing the shortcut-cab, the problem is back.
Have you tried using HDWall to create your wallpaper? I use it because I want the same wallpaper on all the tabs, and I also use the 20 quicklinks cab and they work together fine.

Well, I tried to manage it but it worked not perfectly. I got an other wallpaper at the background, but parts of it where missing (a black bar above the sliderbar). That's why I uninstalled it and now have to deal with the black background also, waiting for someone else finding a fix

I had the same problem with the latest version of HDWall (v0.28b), but the previous version (v0.27b) worked fine. Just make sure you go into the config screen and ensure you're making cabs for WM6.5 and Sense 2.5.
Edit:
I've just tried v0.28b again, and it works as long as you install the "High Quality Wallpaper for Home Tab & Manila Start Menu by Co0kieMonster".
It now fills the screen correctly, and is higher resolution than the previous versions. It looks great now!
Great, that's better! Only one 'problem' left, I want the bottom of the screen (with 'contact'-button and 'menu'-button @ homescreen) to be black instead of the color from the background. Is there any way I can change that?

This is a bit poor, I know, but it works.
Open Settings (or All Settings from the settings tab), and go to Today. Change the theme and click OK. Then, open the Today settings again and change the theme back (I assume you want HTC Black, from your comment). Click OK and it's done.

How do I disable the weather animations on screen

The ones all over the screen, I dont mind the little symbol when the animation is over, but when you have the rain or frost, I find it begins to clash with the wallpaper
This is probably really simple and easily googleable (<-- good new word ) but the difference with me too other people who say, just use an animation background, is that my wallpaper I have is installed that I made customly
using HDWall and this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=601369 so I cant just set it as a wallpaper, it must be installed
any ideas?
just select animated wallpaper in the settings, and chose one which is not animated.

I already have them installed, but it doesnt matter now, I got it sorted
A little way to disable the animation per registry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > HTC > Manila > search for "Home.WallpaperMode"
Set DWORD Data to "2". Make a softreset. Now, the animation is off

by start screen do you mean the start menu? if so, at least on my rom, that is the same as the windows lock screen. change the lock screen and change the start menu.
for background pics i use hdwall...
or am i missing something?
Well first , in settings home set your wallpaper, this is the default wallpaper that shows under everything that is not sense, just to make sure ...
check the box to "Use this picture" and browse to the wallpaper you want ...
That is actually wallpaper, the other ones you are talking about are actually startup screens.
Which may be why you did not find what you were looking for ....
The very first(this is actually 2 but don't worry about it) startup screen is in the ROM and can only be changed with flashing ...
The next two the static and the animated can be changed various ways but the easiest is JWMD Icon changer has a extra that lets you change them....
hi i saw a threafd with different start up animations , i think you have to edit the windows folder
try this

[Q] TNT Lite 4.30 Lock Screen Question

Sorry, I don't have enough posts to post in the dev section.
Long time lurker, first time poster.
Installed tnt lite 4.30 and eveything is looking good except for home button issue which roebeet is already aware of. I don't have the lock screen though. I thought that was one of the things 4.30 added. Do you have to enable it in settings somewhere? I looked all through there but did not find anything about it.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Install Launcher Pro, then add a shortcut to the home screen, select "Activities" look for Settings and expand it (click the arrow circle), from settings choose "com.android.settings.ChooseLockGeneric" it will open a windows to rename the shortcut , rename as desire and after that click on that shortcut it will open the lock configuration screen. Select pin, pattern...
