Flip Clock Scrolling

I installed the flip clock that everyone has. It works perfectly, but now i can't use the touch flo to flip the screen up to see upcoming events, I have to use the d-pad, is there anyway to enable it to flip to see the bottom of the events?

It's strange. When I installed flip clock by itself, I had the same exact issue as you.

For some reason, I had to install the wallpaper part of it and then it fixed it. But if I skipped that step, the Flip clock wouldn't scroll. Hope this fixes your issue. Good luck!
Ooops, forgot to mention that was for the Sprint Touch Pro, so if you have an ATT Fuze, this solution may not apply to you.

I believe its just the regular flip clock, thats been going around that was on the original gsm touch pro. I have the sprint touch pro and they removed that version. I hope thats what you were asking me.

Yeah. Sorry, I should have asked what version you have because the flip clocks don't seem to be working on the Fuze with the default theme and I was hoping maybe you found one that worked!

When he wrote "Once you have completed all editing to your TouchFLO 3D overwrite the following file in your windows folder “1e29e8e7_manila” this should fix your slider being off centered. You will need a program like total commander to complete this. Make sure to reboot your phone for changes to take effect." What did he mean by overwrite this file, overwrite the file with what?

IT, I installed the sprint2flip clock on my fuze. It's in post #178 on this thread. It does mess up the option to scroll up the clock, but I don't really care about that.

I actually installed this because it changes the font on the today screen to white, then I can use a dark or black wallpaper for that page.

When he said overwrite 1e29e8e7_manila I believe he meant that in his zip file there is a file also named 1e29e8e7_manila. You use total commander to click copy to clipboard, then go to \windows and click paste, if it asks to overwrite say yes. There are a bunch of _manila files in the \windows directory that have graphics for tf3d etc.
One thing I've read and done, if you mess up and it looks bad, just go into \windows and delete the _manila file, if you delete any of the _manila files your system will pull them back out of the rom and repopulate the original. I went this route vs. changing my theme altogether because when I did the whole theme I got performance issues on my tf3d, others say they didn't.

i had the same problem with the sprint flipclock. its annoying because when you highlight an item on the home screen, and its all ugly yellow, you have to switch tabs. i used to just flip up and down on my diamond to get rid of that.

You mean the today menu?

the START menue. i was thinking about this too, maybe it is a black picture file which could be replaced? no idea how to find out.
same with the grey background appearing when you unlock your td2, maybe someone found out how to replace it?

Sorry thought you meant the Home Tab!

The default WM6.1 start menu uses the same background as the Today screen, so you could always use the default menu instead of the TF3D one. There's a registry hack for it somewhere nearby.

do you want to change to welcomehead.192.png??

i think he means when tf3d is active and you hit start you
get a screen with you're favorite programs

a temporary solution is to use my touch x background on all pages, it does the new startmenu to.

I want more quicklinks, same wallpaper at all tabs, without HDWall!

I've tried "Vovichek_Jamrecords_20shcut". It not only generated duplicated shortcut at start menu, but also disabled the wallpaper.
I've reviewed HDWall, but it is complicated for casual use.
Any other alternative?
I just want to:
1. add more quicklinks at home tab
2. display the same wallpaper at all tabs
btw, any way to make the task bar and bottom button bar transparent?

My only suggestion would be to review your comment about HDWall, that "it is complicated for casual use." Just follow the steps on the thread on how to do it. It's eeeeeeasy! It makes a cab file that gives you exactly what you want - wallpaper on all tabs and the task bar and bottom bar transparent. (They're the default settings!!) Just make sure you get the latest version.

Seriously - get over the fear of HDWall. It really is that simple!

Totally agree with the above. With Hdwall unless you're changing wallpaper every 5 minutes I don't see how it could be classed as complicated. I've made 5 new wallpapers today and now got them all on the phone ready to change as and when I'm bored of the current one. It's the time it takes for a cab install to change them. ie. a minute or so with a softreset.

im personally looking for something between hdwall and maxmanilla, any of that exists? i really like maxmanilla (maxtt?) but im really trown off by the fact that 'random' regions of the screen control the layout, id rather just have a menu somewhere (like maxmanilla 2.6 if not mistaken)
Any chance those two guys could work toghether to make a even better manilla replacement? just a thought

I would like to use HDwall but I don't know how to start the program. HDWall.exe doesn't work on my computer. I get an error report : the application failed to initialize properly ... It doesn't work on HD2 either. Please help...

is there an automated wallpaper changer that works on HD2?
Tried AntWorks Auto Wallpaper Changer but it doesn't work on the Sense interface.

It messes my Sense UI on HD2, appears corrupted after a while. Is there a better program to change automatically Home wallpaper??

Cant change my homescreen wallpaper from weather!!!

I dont like having all the clouds floating across the screen, I think its a waste of space+ it makes my 1ghz -.- leo lag.
So Ive tried changing the homewallpaper to animated then choosing my own 480x800 wallpapers, but once I set them, I go back to check on the homescreen and I still have the default stuff on there Ive tried restarting ect, nothing.
You can see what rom im running from my signature, Im not sure if thats making any difference. I think the problem may be the fact that I just tried to install Vovichek_Jamrecords 16 quicklinks, but it didnt work, I got the screen attached to this thread, so I uninstalled it and everything went back to normal, or so I thought, may this be the problem?

The method you described should work. I can only guess that you're right about the ROM or the 16 quicklinks affecting it.
Can't help, other than to say that it works on mine when I do that, so it's not default behaviour.

I was obviously being sarcastic, but in case yours doesn't do this...
All the people in my contact list have the same full name or the same email address that they have on facebook (if they're on there).
I only have to manually link about 2 of them, out of about 30. I just go into the people tab, all people, and the updates and events tab (the figure with a clock next to the head) and perform an update there. It automatically links the majority of my facebook/contact matches.
Do you have to manually link them all 1-by-1?

I just set my wallpaper to animated, but selected a static one, and then set it back to the weather one. I also did a registry dump of HKCU before and after setting it back to the weather one, and I found 1 change when I'd set it to a non-weather background.
Try setting this registry key. You'll need a reset afterwards.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"Home.WallpaperMode"=dword:00000002

Well I dont tend to put peoples email adresses in, but what your saying is that if I just bother to do it once (then it will always be saved when I use ppc pim backup) When I reload them on it will automatically link facebook profiles?

00000002 hexadecimal right? making the decimal 2? (Sorry I dont know much about the registry) I just tried that and nothing seems to have happened, I came back after restarting and the clouds/rain ect arent over the screen but I still cant change to an animated background (which btw Im not using actual animated bg's Im using still ones)

Yep - 0x00000002 = 2, so you know more than you think
If it's turned the weather animation off, then I'd say it's worked. Go to Menu, Home Wallpaper, and select Weather Wallpaper. Then browse for the background you want for the home page. Once you've got that, set that registry key and restart.
If the wallpaper doesn't change when you do it that way either, then it probably is the quicklinks change that's broke something, so I'd recommend looking at HDWall. If you don't know what it is, it's a cab creator for wallpapers that allows high quality images (not the downsized version that you get if you let the UI set it), and you can have it on all tabs too. I have 20 quicklinks and HDWall works great for me.
Anyway, lets see how you get on with changing the wallpaper first.

Yeah I got the decimal thing correct, but still it didnt work
+I have used hdwall before, but dont tend to bother as it causes
problems with manila 1922, but I gave it another go but nothing
changed.
In one last attempt I went onto the registry and changed the default wallpaper, but not I just have a white one lol @[email protected]

Stock Verizon 6.5/Sense 2.1 ROM Problem with Today Screen Animated Wallpaper

I have updated my TP2 with the stock Verizon WM6.5/Sense 2.1 ROM upgrade. I have noticed that the weather animations on the Today screen wallpaper, which I think are great, will stop working if I go to beyond the Start screen and hit "All Applications", and it brings up the full apps list. Even without starting any of the apps there, going back to the Today screen, the animations on the wallpaper will not work with any method that I can find other than restarting Sense 2.1 with a soft reset or similar restart of manila.exe
I know most folks here are beyond the stock ROMs but wondering if anyone has seen this too and figured out how work around this problem that I assume is a bug and will not in all probability ever get fixed from HTC. Hopefully this is the worst probelm with the new ROM, whick I can live with but would like to correct if possible.

After a while it does stop the animation. One trick I found out (and it helps with the memory leak), is just move around the tabs just to initate the reloading of sense. Then it will do it again.

Hit the task manager at the top right of the screen (where you close running programs, etc) and then close it. The animation will restart.

I recognize the open and closing of Task Manager does restart it under normal situations, but it will not restart it if you go into the All Applications page. Thats what breaks it...keeps the aminations from running again until you restart Sense 2.1 through several methods, soft-reset, going through the motions of changing the Today screen icons (see above) or some app that resarts the manila.exe program like cleanRam.

Interesting I never noticed this before.

Doesn't do it on mine. I've got the "All Applications" page in Sence 2.1. I've also installed 4 icons in the All Applications and All Programs pages, Awsome Start (single row WinMo start menu). Plus animated weather with any home screen wallpaper and a working BG4All.
Goin to My Application, or All Programs, then back to home and weather works fine. So either somthing in the .cabs & tweaks I've done has fixed it, or somthing in the .cabs & tweaks you've done broke it.

Yup it does it for me. Now I know what stops the weather.

I have a pretty much stock phone with several tweeks/cabs (stop sent message balloon, restore message light flashing capabilities, and a couple of other minor ones) that I don't believe have anything to do with breaking it so I'm gussing that some of yours are "fixing it".

Hmm maybe its the weather for all backgrounds that is making the weather stay. I guess I will look for that cab and see if it fixes our problem.

Don't have the ability to hook up my phone and upload the .cab... but search for: "2.1apristel BG4ALL_W_Fullscreen_Animations.cab" and you should come up with it pretty quick.
That's the only one that worked for me with the CDMA Verizon 6.5/Sense 2.1 phone without breaking somthing else.

Myself personally, I do not like the Manila start menu, and have disabled it. I use the standard WM 6.5 honeycomb start menu. I have not experienced any problems with the animations since disabling the manila start menu.

How do you disable just the Manila (Sense 2.1) start menu and use the WM6.5 one?

You can do it one of two ways.
I did it with a .cab that also added a "Programs" tab in the TouchFlo/Sense interface as well. But using the registry editor. HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Configuration. Open File 11 and under the D word value "Enable", change the value from 0 to 1.
There is another edit, though, where you can choose which start menu the device uses. I'm 99% sure it's HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila and under the D Word Value "IsWM6.5" and the default setting is no (which = 0). Change it to a "1" and I'm pretty sure you'll get what you're looking for.

In both cases, my settings are "1" and I have not changed these at all from the Stock VZW 6.5 upgrade. Am I misreading?

Hmmm, I Downloaded My ROM from PCD & I Don't Have Animated Weather for My Today Screen, Only In My Weather Tab. Where Did You Download Your ROM From?

Actually I deleted it. The phone was updated and working properly so I saw no reason to keep it as I could always download from the PCD website again.
Did you load other tweak cabs to your new 6.5 ROM that you had in 6.1. Maybe you did someting. Try a hard reset?

Change registry setting below:
HKLM\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu\EnableManilaStartMenu
Set DWORD to 1 (use TF3D)
HKLM\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu\EnableManilaStartMenu
Set DWORD to 0 (Use WM Menu)
