Hi there,
First of all, I am sorry for my rusty english I am from Portugal and my english it's a little bit rusty
Well, I searched the entire forum ( I think) and I still don't discover the solution for my problem.
I have a Qtek G100, and after I made a hardreset, I simply can't start the gps utility or how to enable the gps ... I installed a software gps (beelinegps) just to try the gps and nothing... it seems that the gps is disabled.
Can anyone help me ??
thanks, and once again sorry for my mistakes!
Cheers,
dambrosio

The problem is that the GPRS web connection is refused or is impossible untill the VPA Compact is soft reset, or quicker, cycled through flight mode on then off. The GPRS web connection capability is there, but just needs this "reset" from time to time.
2 other colleagues using Vodafone and O2 on VPA Compact/XDA Mini find the same problem also, (so atleast it is consistent). ;-)
Should a ROM update to the 1.13.01 fix this? My VPA c is 1.11.01 GER. I do not want to update and risk ruining a perfectly working PDA if there is not a need. I am not by nature, comfortable in changing ROM versions unsupported on my phone..
Many thanks for any help you can give.
Cheers, Julian
hi ,
i have the same problem "from time to time" . I have a xda mini with
ROM Version : 1.13.01 and Radio 1.13.00
anybody has an idea ?
greets
same problem here with 1.13 radio rom. I upgraded from 1.12, hoping it would help, but did not much for me. I did read on the forum that it did improve for some others... it's worth giving it a try.
response from any of the experts....?
This now confirms that more people have an issue with GPRS connectivity. Strange thing is that the issue occurs with very variable frequency. When my VPA Compact was new it was seldom happening, but after a week of use and a few soft resets the issue happens more often than not.
Can any of the experts out there help us. The Telecom providers are not helping with this bug.
Cheers, Julian
Good day, my name is nqina dlamini I found this forum via google.
I have an I-mate Jasjam with WM5, I am on Vodacom South Africa (a cousin of Vodafone).
My touch screen is not responding, it used to work after soft reset and then suddenly blink the Start Menu and finaly stop working.
I doubt that it is a hardware issue.
I would like to find out firstly if anyone has had this problem before and lastly if WM6 is a possible solution.
Flashing a new ROM may solve your problem. The main issue though is that you're in the wrong forum... this is for HTC Tornado! Click the xda-developers link at the top of the page and search for your device from there
Thank you, I will relocate to the appropriate section.
Hello, i have an HTC Cruise P3650 (Polaris) with M-Amine_2.0_ITA_FINAL ROM and Murata Radio Rom (1.58.21.23)
The Rom and the GSM signal is very good, but have problem with GPS fix.
I tried to fix the Gps also with Htc Gps Tool following the procedure, but the fix with TomTom or Igo8 is very quick only the first time, when i put Off the Pda or made a second soft reset, the fix return very slow (over 20 min.)
Please tell me how to resolve this problem or which Radio Rom i must to use to have a quick Gps fix every time and not only the first time i need use the Gps with TomTom or Igo8.
The version of TomTom is 7.915 (9196) Driver Gps v1.20
The version of Igo8 is 8.3.2.64029
I wait your answer, thank you very much.
Hmmm, sounds like problem with Radio version or QuickGPS not downloading data.
But first time I hear that Murata has problems of this kind (or any kind).
And even if QuickGPS is not downloading data, fix should be faster.
Confused, I must admit...
Hello, none have some answer to resolve this problem ?
Please help me. Thank you.
hello,
I use a lot of GPS and after trying several radio rom, I have the 1.65.30.09 with the Roma AMINE. The fix is very fast and consumption is weak, I am very pleased with this radio

Hello, i have tried the Rom Radio 1.65.30.09 but the GPS not fix, i tried also to install the original HTC ROM but not fix.
I think that not erase all the information inside the ROM when i change from cooked to original or also from cooked to cooked, is possible ?
There is a right procedure to make a total format of the data, driver and return to default original configuration ?
Thank you, bye.
Hello all,
I am newbee to this tread and i,ve tried to find my solution on this forum before posting this cry for help.
I did find a lot of information on this matter but NO solution that can help me so i put my hopes on you.
I own a DUTCH Ipaq 614C on default configuration.
When i switch on WiFi it says "not available"
Checked my NIC settings, found also that my SDIO8686 is showing IPv6 like fe80:: so i believe this is the cause of my problem.
The FW version is 9.70.3.18 (WLAN)
The HW version is 88W8686
The SW version is 38.p28
I have NO warranty left so thats no option too ans now where i,ve looked with regedit did show me how to correct this.
Because of de DUTCH rom i can not reflash just like that.
Does any one have a trick that wil solve this??
Keeping my fingers crossed!!
Anyone please??
No one a solution??
HP is only willing to help when i pay them but the phone does not work because of their faulty product, so why it's me who has to pay??
