Touch pro 6.1 win mobile drop down program menu disapeared - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I don't know what I did to make it disappear. But I can't find anywhere to get it back. What is missing is the drop down menu in the far right hand corner that opens to show you all the programs you currently have open. Anyone have a way to get this back.

Move SPB Mobile Shell position from Today screen

I have SPB Mobile shell installed so that it is on my today screen. when you go to the Today Settings screen, the top item is Date then below that I have Spb Mobile Shell, below that HTC Home. When you click on any of these the Move Up/Move Down options are greyed out. Is there any way to enable these? Reason being, is that I have AlDate installed and would like to have it top of the list. As soon as I try to move it above HTC Home the Move Up option becomes greyed out.
found the answer, if anyone else needs to know:
Change the value of HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\HTC Home\Type from 5 to 4, then move the plugin as usual.

Mobile Word Bug Fix

Sorry if this has been covered before - I coudnt find anything on here.
On some devices/setups with mobile Word 6.1, if your text is long enough to show the scroll bars you wont be able to select any text for working with.
The solution is to hold the stylus on the area needing selection until the circular dots start to display and then drag across the text. You have to be quick else the popup menu will display.
This workaround works OK on my TD2.

Opera "gestures" question or possibility?

I think it would be nice to be able to swipe the screen right to left to go back in the history and left to right to go forward. I see in Opera:config there is an option to turn on gestures, but I think its a remnant from desktop Opera.
Anyone heard of an app that allows this sort of thing?
FWIW I am on a sprint Touch Pro 2 with the stock rom.

[Q] Silly question: Current Apps

I've googled it and got nothing.
Search this forum and not found it either
On Windows 8, if I scroll my mouse to the left/ left corner of the screen, I can see my current apps.
I can then close them.
With my keyboard connected I can do this on my surface using trackpad.
How do I do it without my keyboard connected?
I don't want to swipe them in, I want to see the icons of the apps I have running so I can close them.

you have to swipe in from the left a short distance. I don't own a windows touch device but did get a go on a display model, was kinda fiddly to get the distance just right, was probably about half the distance you need to swipe to switch apps. With some practise you should be able to nail it.

There's two behaviours for a short swipe in from the left. I believe the default one is to "swipe in" the last used app. Whereas what you want is to see a list of currently running apps (me too).
Go Settings>Change PC Settings and you're looking for a setting something like "App Switching">"When I swipe in from the left edge, switch between my recent apps instead of showing a list of them". In 8.1 that setting is under PC & devices, I can't recall if it's the same in 8.
The default way to do what you're asking is to swipe in from the left edge, then swipe back to the edge without releasing the swipe. It's a very quick and easy gesture easily made with the thumb; you don't have to swipe in more than maybe 1/4 of an inch (6mm) before swiping off the screen again to get he app switcher sidebar to appear.
To close the apps using touch only, you can do the following:
Drag the app from the sidebar off the bottom of the screen.
thanks, that's great.

Anything like Pie Control for Surface3?

I got a Surface 3 laying around from work and I keep trying to use it like my Nexus 2013.
I see swiping from the left will bring up the alt+tab menu similar to Recent apps button on droid but the rest leaves much to be desired.
I dont like tablet mode since I put network shares on it and copy files directly to the desktop sometimes. I found a shortcut to take you to desktop, because oddly the Show desktop button is missing in Win10 now. In tablet mode though the shortcut does nothing.
I cant swipe brightness so I have to keep going to the action center. Windows key on the right side when I liked swiping from the left. Maybe flipping it will work but then the stand will be useless.
