Flash 10.1 closed beta or alpha? - Nexus One Themes and Apps

There have been a few posts implying that some forum members have access to Flash on their phones. I would love to play with this but failing that, could anyone with access give their impressions?

i'd like to know too...

In desperate need!!!!

i am a new member. whats the best ROM to go with? how do i get it?
there is no such thing as a universally accepted "best rom" read pureskill's rom reviews in this forum. links and instructions are there.
lol i remember asking the same type of questions when i first got here and to tell you the truth it doesnt really work that way, this forum is mostly for cooks or developers you have to look around and find the rom thats best for you, try ivans new stuff hes still in the alpha stage but the juststable 15v2 works awesome and u have to install the latest arcsoft which you can find by using the forum search engine there is also microlabs wm6, that seems to be very popular make sure you hard spl your phone before flashing any of the roms here you can find instructions for that by using the search engine also, hope this helps
I think this is the wrong forum to post that.
I would go with either JustHome or JustStable if you want something newer. But you can also with the fantastic catalog of older roms available. Use the forum search or go read pureskill's ROM reviews like kristopherson said and decide for yourself.

noob with a samsung moment

first thing I noticed is their us no moment forum which confused me. so now I think I'm posting in the wrong place.anyways I don't know anything about rooting. my goals are to use swipe, update the flash player, update my os. how would I go about doing that, and what are some of the cool things I could do with a rooted phone?
Go here for the Moment forums.

clockwork mod in the works for t959v???

I was just interested in knowing if anyone has yet found a way to get cwm working correctly on the samsung t959v since the last thread, on the "cwm not working" discussion? Some have said you can flash it through rom manager as the original vibrant and it works .. is this true? Any word on the time were looking at before it is available?
the reason i created that thread was to keep questions like this from cluttering the android development forum. i will update that thread as soon as we get CWM running CORRECTLY for our device.
mod please delete this thread or move to general questions.

Not this again. If you have really read the threads you would already know the answer to this.

Samsung Note 2, I want it secured, lightweight, and fast.

Hey Ya'll
Happy New Year.
I have new old phone Samsung Note 2.
I'm going to be using this phone but have concerns about security and speed .
I also want to root my phone so I can remove the bloatware and, possibly, get my processor clocked a bit faster (activating the reduntant cores to would be great).
This is what I've learned from searching here:
1) KIngRoot || Root King - oneclick apps from the play store
2) custom rom - like cynagenmod.
- i'll be able to use FireFox the way I do on my Linux machine, but other than that I'm just a run of the mill iPhone user.
What kind of advice do you guys have for me? I look forward to learning tx:fingers-crossed:
For the people viewing but not posting.
Here's something I found using a DuckDuckGo (XDA search just came up with ads) from the XDA forums.
Galaxy Note 2 Rooting.
Flashing Custom Roms.
After days of trying to figure this out I'm just more confused.
Everytime I use the XDA search bar I get ADS. Thanks XDA.
The two links I posted to help here have good descriptions but the links end up going nowhere eventually.
From what I've gathered (on my own) I need to:
1) Root using Odin (found it somewhere else)
2 ) Download a "Custom Recovery" CWM/TWRP (can't find a good download for the dam thing)
3) Download Gapps (again, can't find a good Download for the dam thing)
4) Download a Custom ROM for my phone (and again, can't find a download)
I don't understand. Everyone Raves about XDA but theres only text instructions. Everyone says how there are great developers here and how this is a gret forum but I've yet to find anything here and none of the people who viewed this post even replied....
If your reading this and are trying to Root your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 I suggest you look somewhere else.
I don't think XDA is worth any of the hype people give it and we're just wasting our time here.
Hey, there.
First of all, you are new here and don't know how the XDA forums work, so be patient and don't jump to conclusions. Once you understand the forum's layout, you will see why everyone raves about XDA.
You first need to find your phone's subforum using search, and look there. It will have everything from general questions, rooting guides, to custom kernels, custom Roms, etc.
For your case, it's here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-2
Easiest way to root your phone is using Kingroot.
Download apk here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=22115
The custom ROM flashing guide you linked is general guide to flash any ROM and hence doesn't provide links. You need to find Rom you would like to flash(install) in the sub-forum and flash using that method.
Hit thanks if it helped. PM (private message) me if you need help.

Legit Root Method?

First off, I'm not trying to offend or discredit any DEVs or the original author of this Guide. I'm only trying to verify if this is legit or not PRIOR to me sacrificing my 1+6. I treat XDA as the holy bible for all things Root related, and have not come across this Guide on here. So I'm not sure if the TWRP they are mentioning is legit or not.
Here's the link to the article: https://thedroidarena.com/root-oneplus-6-install-twrp-recovery/
TIA!
To clarify, the Root method is verified as they discuss Magisk method. I'm trying to clarify if the Recovery (TWRP) is legit. Thanks!
Legit? It's only unofficial, i think it's not about legit or not, it's about warranty and risk that may come imo
Wow I can't believe your asking this. Both of the TWRP and root methods in that article are taken straight from XDA.
Sorry for the stupid post, I didn't see any source credit pointing back to XDA. And the article never states that the TWRP being installed is "Unofficial" or not. So I just wanted to play it safe by asking the pros.
It's been so long since I've rooted/ROM'd any phone and to be honest reading the processes to accomplishing this on the 1+6 seems a little daunting.
MODs please delete or lock thread if you wish. My apologies for wasting everyone's time.
