LG GW820 - General Questions and Answers

Does anyone have any info on unlocking the sim on LG GW820? AT&T doesn't seem to have the unlock codes for it yet and any forums I've been on seems to confirm my experience.

Good luck,

Thanks alot! None of those sites have anything yet on that phone though. I don't know if it's just too new or what but I appreciate the help.

Do your question ever there, most likely it´s a LG dedicated forum so your chances to get help are bigger.

Hi!
As the phone is new and has no section here....you can try asking in the android general Q&A section....here...

[Completed] Unlocking Moto x or Galaxy S5

I am looking to buy a used Android device, many adds describe phone as Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc. but I want to try a different carrier. Some tell me that unlocking is easy and it can be done anywhere, others tell me it can only be done by the original carrier. Can I be sure I can unlock a used phone if I buy one? I learned of XDA-developers online but have not been able to find info directly related by searching this sight. Can someone please direct me? Thanks!
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. There are a number of ways to SIM unlock a phone. Get a code from the carrier, buy an unlock code online, be careful with this, or use one of the methods on XDA if available for your phone. I would suggest you ask in the specific forum for the device you are considering. For the Moto X see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/Unlock and this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x
For the S5 see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s5
If anyone knows if it's possible the people in those forums will knoe.
Good luck and don't forget to register on XDA to ask questions in those forums.

[Completed] help

Hello everybody, I am a too fresh member called Yaqub, coming from Burkina in Western Africa. I am happy to be here and appreciate all your great works that helped many times. Thanks from the biggest to the smallest of you! I would like to know if here is the best place to send questions asking for help to solve a phone problem. Thanks
Hi, and welcome to the XDA forums.
XDA Assist is meant for pointing people in the right direction to find the answers to their issues. We don't actually offer actual technical help here unless it is a simple solution.
We point the users here to the proper forums to post to so that they have a general idea of where to look for answers, and ask if the can't find the answer they need by searching that forum/thread.
If you tell me the model of phone that you have, I could suggest a better place to search for answers, and also to post to if you can't find one.

Need suggestion for a phone.

What I am asking for may not exist.
The only dependable signal where I live is Verizon G3.
What I am looking for is a Verizon G3 phone with a 5.5 screen.
An old Note original will work... I think they were only G3.
Any help appreciated.
Hi,
We try to keep purchasing advice limited to the device suggestion thread. People who are interested in answering that sort of stuff can be found there.
Hope this helps,
Officer Jim Lahey.
