First off sorry for posting this here, It should probably be in the general section but the only people who seem to surf that section are people complaining about their leo.
So anyway, I was wondering if there was a way to do this, because I like my music to look nice and clean and tidy, however when Im ending up with little 3 seconds songs from an unknown artist called 01 , these will be all the sounds from the program files. I really want to remove them from my artist/all songs/album views.
Any ideas how?
I'd also like to know how to do this. It would be great to keep the htc music player just for music. Currently, it's cluttered with podcasts.
Maybe you can try to change the pad only to your music pad:

GENIUS!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!
this worked as well using total commander.
don't get it!
if i "hide" it the folder will be also hidden for choosing the ringtones so yes, no more ringtones on the music tab but also you'll not find them when you'll want to designate the rings to notifications....
the best way is to make HTC album ignore some folders. Do the following:
Go to HKLM/Software/HTC/HTCAlbum/Ignore
and add a sting value with a name (choose whatever you want) and string (here you put the location of a particular folder)
So if I want HTC album to ignore My Music folder on my Storage card, I will add a new string value: name-My Music and string-\Storage Card\My Music
and of course soft-reset after that

this sound much better (pun intended) . i'll give it a try.
an interesting fact: if i am on the music tab in portrait mode i see all the unwanted files (even sound files from my navigation program) but if i am looking in landscape mode i see only the music files. strange...
found it, how to exclude audio folders!!
Finally searched al posts, couldn't find the right answer, tried every trick but no succes and didn't want to hide my ringtones folder.....
Here's what i did and found:

ADD new DWORD

Each folder you want to exclude needs a STRING and a DWORD
The number in above example (_0) is the number of the "folder set" if there's already a number just add 1.
The DWORD 1 means device 0 for storage card
For example if i'll add another one:
folder on device "\My Documents\Recordings"
ADD new STRING
"sd_exclude_path_path_1"="\My Documents\Recordings"
ADD new DWORD
"sd_exclude_path_type_1"=dword:00000001
Restart device (soft reset), no need to hide any folders
I couldn't get it to work I installed a game in memory card but the sound files are coming up in HTC music player. Can someone explain to me in detail how not to have music player detect these files? BTW, I have resco explorer installed. Thank you.

i used to have my rings in my SD under my Documents. moving them under a separate folder on SD or on SD under My Documents make them undiscoverable by the system for use as ringtones and notifications but i still can see them in the Album tab.
also, i am still curious why if i am on the music tab in portrait mode i see all the unwanted files (even sound files from my navigation program) but if i am looking in landscape mode i see only the music files.

For all who don't want to mess with there registry, resco works!. Just go into resco explorer, find the folder, long press it, properties, dark check hidden, soft reset......... And all those files not wanted are hidden and not in your album anymore. yes all my ringtones are there. Just hide the folders you dont want to showup in your sense album/music tab.

Is there a way to ad more sounds to "sliding keyboard open and close" sound
and if there are were to put them?
Well, the default sounds are located in \Windows and called 0_in, 0_out, etc. Dunno how to identify them or if there are any specifics needed for these files, but why not try making a new set of in/out-files in that dir?
There's also a set of registry keys & values under HKLM\Software\HTC\SlidingSound. You can add other subkeys to expand the droplist, so you don't have to modify existing entries.
Just create a new subkey and set string values:
Default -- set this to the name you want to show up in the droplist
in -- set this to the name of the wav file you want to play when closing the slider
out -- set this to the name of the wav file you want to play when opening the slider.
Once you've made these reg entries, copy the wav files to the Windows directory & cycle power to ensure the reg entries get flushed. When you power back on, you should have the new entries in the drop list and all should be well.
This is GREAT! Thanks!
http://rapidshare.com/files/79748184/SH4Y_Sliding_Sounds_Configure.cab
This is a cab i made... all you have to do is place custom-in and custom-out.wav in the /windows folder for your own custom sounds..
works great took some time but it worked.
if your still lost i can try to help you out mind you i have the at&t tilt don't know if its different directory between phones...

Also had problems with this and there are a few good guides out there. The easiest solution is to name the album cover "folder.jpg" and then put it in the music folder of that certain album:
Music\Bruce Springsteen\Folder.jpg
Music\REM\Folder.jpg

I did the similar thing, but the album photo also doesn't want to show up
There's a little trick to this;
After you put the Folder.jpg in each Artist- (or Album-)directory, go to Settings - More - Personal - Today - Items and remove the mark for TouchFLO 3D.
Soft Reset the phone.
Delete the file \Application Data\HTC\AudioManager...\AudioManager_Eng.
Reactivate TouchFlo 3D (reverse from first bullet)
Go to Music, wait for search to finish, Presto!

Thanks Bro, it work!
Another question, can I exclude some folders or just want the audio manager to search in the folder called "My Music"?
Asking that because I create another folder called "My Ringtone" and I don't want the Audio Manager to look into that folder, as normal, a ringtone is just a mp3 which abt 30s long, so it is very irretating to have it listed in the Audio Manager.

Hi 2 all, I have more simple decision for this trouble (without any soft reset or TouchFlo removing): just rename album_cover.jpg in Album dir to hTC_AM_AlbumArt.jpg and you will see the changes immediatley - I have ~90 album folders and its really work for me
Hi there,
Quick question, probably a stupid one (I've tried searching for the answer here, but couldn't fin one, probably because it's to simple to mention)
But hey, I'm gonna ask it anyway!
With Titanium on Windows mobile 6.5, how do you change the location of the pictures in the Pictures tab of titanium.
It automaticallly looks in device\my documents\my pictures
but I have everything in Internal storage\my documents\my pictures
I've tried setting the album as favorite, I've tried advanced configuration tool
Nothing seems to work, any suggestions?
Moved as not software release or development.
Please take your time to read the rules..
create a folder in your storage card root and name it PICTURES... all images you put in this folder will automatically show in the Titanium photo panel.

remember the folder name is case sensitive ..."PICTURES" in the root of your storage card...
Thanx!
Got it working now, only problem is, now I can´t get my camera to store the pictures there, even with advanced config tool.
Any ideas?
edit your registry...
go to...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Camera\General
EnableDCIM
change the DWORD value to 1
soft-reset.
now all your cam shots will go to \Storage card\DCIM
and it will show up in the Titanium photo panel... hopefully.
i'm still checking the registry on how to make the cam shots lead to PICTURES folder... i'll keep you posted mate.
Thanx!
It's working!
Old thread I know, but this is a two part problem that took me ages to solve and now it's working on my diamond.
These are registry edits to do two things - change the camera default save directory to \Internal Storage\PICTURES (this makes them show on the main Titanium page), and then make the HTC Album the default viewer.
1. reg edit hklm/software/htc/camera/image
change savefolder 0409 key name to the country code your phone is set to in regional settings (0409 is US English, search google for '0409 language code' to find yours)
change the key value to '..\..\Internal Storage\PICTURES' [without quote marks, note the two ..\'s, this is because the diamond calls it 'internal storage' instead of 'storage card']
2. reg edit HKLM\Software\Mircosoft\Shell\Rai\:MSPIMG
change the value for '1' to 'HTCAlbum.exe'
The last frontier is to change the default directory for the 'all photos' titanium softkey, but it seems to be hard coded. But with this method you just need to choose 'all' from the 'album' menu and it will show all the pics - if you press on the main titanium bar it opens the PICTURES directory now anyway, so you can just put all your pics in there.
Hi.
Does somebody know how to move games icons to Games folder? (For example "Autumn Dynasty" or "Jumba")
I do indeed
using the file explorer on the phone (these folders dont show up in windows) find the game exe in my device>program files>"folder name of program">
It will be here, probably the icon will be the games icon. Now hold your finger down on that for a few seconds until an menu pops up and select copy.
Now go to mydevice>windows>startmenu>programs>games and hold your thumb down in an empty space until the menu comes up again, and press "paste shortcut"
If you dont get something just ask again
I take it you mean just moving the shortcut icons from the start menu in to the games folder of the start menu. If the icon already exists in the start menu then its pretty much the same as above just go with the file explorer to \windows\start menu\programs "cut" the icon and "paste it in to the games folder.
BTW you can view the windows folder on your pc. You need to connect your phone through active sync then go to "control panel" on your pc, then "folder options" then go to "view" tab and deselect the "hide protected operating system files" Then using phone browser you can view the contents of the windows folder. It is however painfully slow to open and you run the risk of screwing up your device if you go round deleting things but it works none the less.

What so on the home screen, one of the 3 tabs is a like to the games folder? I found one way using resco explorer. Browse to windows/startmenu/programs and then hold your finger on the games folder till you get the menu pop up, select send to> start menu as shortcut. Then go to add a program on the home links and go to programs (instead of bookmarks or contacts) and the games folder will be there, the image will be the resco explorer image with the word games underneath it
Hope that helps, took me ages to work it out lol
Here is a link i created using THIS app. If you copy it to your start menu somewhere (\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.......) You can then assign it to the quick links. What it does is opens file explorer with arguements to take it to the games folder. Basically it opens file explorer in games folder of the start menu.
It does what resco does to create links but a bit more manual and its free.
Thanks! however the send to option is greyed out, not available.

Yes, it creates a shortcut to the games folder, but you can modify shortcuts and change the parameters. Just copy it to your PC and edit it.
Moving Icons Completely
Is it possible to move a games that I download to the game folder neat and clean (meaning without having a bunch of short cut to, short cut to, short cut to)?
I had this idea for an app..that would work much like the BT trigger app that just toggles on and off blue tooth.
I know you can do this to add a reg entry to hide folders from the album view:
1.Open the registry editor
2.Go to HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCAlbum\Ignored (create the Ignored key if doesn’t exist)
3.Create a new String Value and name it whatever you want (Example, Garmin)
4.Set the Data for the new value to the full path of the folder to be ignored (Example, \Storage Card\Garmin)
and i was thinking...wouldnt it be great.. a nice little app that you could add some folder paths to, and then you just hit the icon to toggle those folders visible or not visible to the album viewer.
I would try and make this myself...but dont think i have the skillz. anyone know how hard this would be to make? or if it exsits already?
