Would it be possible for someone to make a live wallpaper that, like the grass live wallpaper, would change based on the time and day as well as display the weather at the same time. For example if its cloudy you'd see clouds through out night and day. Same with snow, rain, etc.
I'm not a programmer, but would assume that the weather sync would be a resource hog.
It would definately kill your battery fairly quickly, as it would constantly be on.
However, I would really like the other idea of yours.
Maybe at sunset show the sun on the horizon in the East (right side of the screen), noon it would be up high in the sky and set on the left side.

Have tried many weather widget apps before. Many are good, with HTC Sense-like UIs, but I have to say my favorite one thus far is the animated weather widget. I currently have the free version installed and am extremely happy with the stability, usability, and overall effects. I originally tried out out because my old one kept crashing and testing its configuration. I would have been happy with something stable (which this has ben so far), but I have to say that I was blown away by the effects and amount of detail within the forecast app. Pretty happy so far, will have to see what pro has to offer. Am inserting ad from site with links...

We all have these Smartphones with great graphics, super fast processors, and a whole bunch of other cool **** - but having Android and a cool phone is just the beginning.
Who ever hasn't tried AND LOVED Animated Weather is really missing out the coolest of the cool weather apps with incredible scenes for each weather scenario! My wife gave up her i(DUMB)Phone so she could take over my EVO with A/W on it.
Pardon the pun, butt, she saw how cool it is when a storm BLOWS in and either rains like hell or howls up a blizzard. She lives and dies for any change in the weather so she can see it in the forecast inside.

This is the windmills, weather DOES change with this one cuz it is raining where I live and it is 8:00pm, so time change&weather works. Time change works on beach also.

Can anyone suggest a weather widget, or even know of one, that is JUST the picture/graphic of the weather? I'm going minimal these days with my homescreens and need something to match. Seems every widget has a clock or forecast for the next couple days, etc. I simply want, if its sunny, a sun. If its raining, rain drops etc.. I've seen similiar ones for the moon phases etc, but can't seem to find anything for weather..

Well am not sure this is rom related but if you going into the widget selector and scroll down to weather there are 3 of them in there with 2 small ones.
You don't say if you even bothered to look at the phones selection of widgets.
These are from beautiful widgets. You can turn off the background so all you get is the weather. It's in the market if you want it.

Weather bug has a nice small widget.
As I said with the stock weather widget you get several small ones. This is the smallest on that is available without having to buy anything.
simi clock has a minimal weather widget too.
Mine stops after a few seconds ....for example if it's raining it will show rain animation the stops with rain drops on the screen ! Is this normal ?

Just try a different wallpaper. You don't even state which you have. Unless you mean the weather lock screen, that's normal.
No he means the weather LWP that comes with the HOX, which he clearly stated in his first post.
This happens to me as well after 10-15 seconds the no matter which weather animation is playing, it stops. The only way to get it going again, it to change the LWP and then back again the the weather LWP. But again it will stop. I really like this wallpaper, especially the thunderstorm portion...much better than any other out there for weather related LWP.
If anybody out knows a fix for this, we'd love to hear it, thanks.
Guys there's a better live weather wall paper in the play store. Just look up weather live wallpaper. It's the one from beautiful widgets. It's great imo.
