I've read some info regarding the final German ROM version PPC2003 A01 (07190300GE) for my Dell Axim X5 and how to get it via CD, however, until now I haven't found a ROM-CD on Ebay or anywhere else.
Does anyone still have this ROM or could please provide me with a source? I've already found the original ROM version A00 (aka Dell R59119) as well as the final English one, however no German A01 until now...

i've recently acquired a benq p50 pocketpc phone...
my problem is that it's not a complete unit.... but it doesn't have any warranty... some of the programs in the ROM are missing and the infrared doesn't work... i'm looking for anyone who has the a copy of the p50 ROM...
i like this phone but i may have to return it to the seller if i can't find the ROM anywhere...

i got it from someone who got it from taiwan... it was just the unit and charger, no box, no manual, no cd, no warranty.... the IR doesn't work and it's missing some softwares... i hope to be able to download the ROM somewhere... any ideas?

LOL, at long last the BenQ P50 1.15 ROM has been leaked. Someone posted the files on another site on February 18th. I repackaged everything and rewrote the instructions to hopefully make the process easier.

Hey, I know this probably gets asked a lot, and I'm just missing, but I've scoured the wiki and forums, and I can't find a simple howto to get WM2005 installed on my Himalaya. Can anyone help me out with a simple "download this, click this, type that" kind of howto?
What are the benefits and drawbacks? Is it worth it or should I stick with 2003?
At the mo I'm running the latest update from the O2 site, is that 2003 or 2003se? If not is it possible to upgrade to se?

The process maybe tricky, but that's the only way.
The update isn't official. Xda-dev work.
If you're unexperienced user, you may run into trouble trying wm5.
2005 is a leaked beta release
2003SE in english is a manualy translated chinese version which also makes it unofficial
the latest official o2 release is 1.72
the latest official release for any himalaya device in english is 1.75

Its pretty easy to flash one of the roms but you risk turning it into a house brick if it goes wrong. Best flashed with an xp machine and use grandprix (read the modaco threads for more info).
Hi I have recently purchased a Dell Axim X51v July 09
It has a Rom version of A06 and WM6.1
What I would like to know is are these versions the latest as I have seen Rom version A12 and
A17 I would also like to know if the Rom versions and the WM could be updated and added separately.
And finally can anyone give me links to any updated versions + can you explain about Shell on the unit

Hi Guys. I have little problem with my dell axim x51 . I have windows mobile 6.5 (lennysh modification) , but my cf slot dont work , lennysh dont have fix on it so , i want to install official windows mobile. Wiki says that i can instal on my dell x51 windows mobile 6.5 , but i cant find link to the official page with dell upgrader. I do not know any others win mobile 6.x on dell x51 with working cf slot. Please help me. Thanx.

You can still downgrade your axim X51 to the latest official WM5 version 'A12' from Dell's support site here if you really need CF access. This will require you to use the USB connection to the PC. Unfortunately there is no official WM6 or WM6.5 available for the X51 from Dell.
Sorry, Wikipedia refers to lennysh's custom ROM, which is still pretty unstable as you probably know by now
Note that that link is *only* for axim X51, not for the X51v model.
