The concept that every message of a new user needs to be approved
by a moderator leads to threads that are not read by other users:
E.g. User creates a new thread at 10:00 GMT+1
Modorater reads and approves it on 10:00 GMT-8
This results in the thread being sorted in 9 hours too late.
But it still has the original posting time.
So no one will read it.
Also how long is a new user under probation?
Just to bring it to the top.
This message is also "invisible" due to late approval...
I've brought this thread to the attention of Svetius our user experience admin.
Best regards,
Flar

The scanning was done automatically by a spam filter. But you are right, it was catching more legitimate messages than spam. I disabled it for now. Thanks for the feedback.

It's definitely not completed (or as pretty as SenseX 2.2 BETA - here on the XDA)
BUT, it's my best attempt at this. I'll post the guide/backup probably tomorrow. Feel free to comment or leave advise/requests.
can i not post a picture?
I'm pretty confused.
WTF? What is happening here?
Hmm... wondering if it isn't that same poor lost soul just spewing words again.....
lol, no no
I always was a reader, never really a poster so the forum doesn't allow me to post any links or pictures. I'll post it soon, I just need permissions.
" 1. To prevent spam to the forums, new users are not permitted to post outside links in their messages. All new user accounts will be verified by moderators before this restriction is removed.
2. To prevent spam to the forums, new users must wait five minutes between posts. All new user accounts will be verified by moderators before this restriction is removed."

I also think you need to have a minimum amount of posts? Seems like links became avail to me after 5 or 6 posts? Maybe that's just when I got 'Approved'. I don't remember every getting a note from MOD, etc.
i think this is the same post from alldroid, and if thats the case (not to be rude) it doesnt look like sense at all

I think this thread is COMPLETELY off-topic for this forum.
It reeks of advertising your blog, and nothing else.

I'm sorry if that's how you feel, I thought I was helping out the community by providing legit access to paid apps and games, which might other wise be stolen. From there people who like the apps will spread word to their friends, generating much more income in theory.
Why don't hold the giveaway here on xda? Seems like you want to generate traffic to your blog and harvest email addresses. You didn't even describe how winners are selected.
I only require emails to contact them if they've won. I don't use the emails for anything else.
Winners are selected at random, I posted that in the initial giveaway and forgot to put it in the second. I use random.org to generate a winner.
As for posting this on XDA, I use the blog because I don't always have apps to giveaway, so in the meantime I update it with other articles. This takes some time and energy on my part as well, corresponding with dozens of developers trying to work out some deal, so yes I do hope it generates traffic.
Your not actually giving them away, people need to win them..the title is misleading.
No, the apps are being given away, there are just limited copies available so it's only fair that the winner is choosen randomly.
one more quation: why does everytime that I want to post something I need to fill the answer of a captcha? it's extreamly annoying! don't you think your security is just a little over the top?
and look at this: "To prevent spam to the forums, new users must wait five minutes between posts. All new user accounts will be verified by moderators before this restriction is removed. . I mean come on! for seriously?!
Dude, this "over the top" security is in place and this forum still gets ridiculous spam.
I was done with the "new user" thing within a day. I never complained I did something crazy - I answered people's questions. And the day I joined I was an even bigger n00b - so unless you're the n00biest n00b in all of n00bdom you should be able to do that, too.

Both the captcha and the 5 minute limit between posts are to stop spam, especially form automated spam bots. Based on past history they are remarkably effective at stopping unwanted spam. Don't worry, the captcha and the 5 minute limit will go away soon.
Thanks for understanding about the temporary inconvenience, they are really necessary!
Mod y u no close this thing down!?
Thread closed...question answered.
I received a message from an account named "SamsungSupport" saying they wanted to follow up on a message I posted on the forum. I just want to know if anyone at XDA can confirm that this account is authentic before I respond to the message since the the account profile shows zero posts and zero activity for an account created roughly 18 months ago.
Any response to this would be appreciated as I do not want to provide information to an imposter account.
Ignore it.
As @zelendel said. Ignore it, the account is fake and it doesn't look like SamsungSupport. Don't give them your information unless you have gone to their site and applied for a return message.
Ignore it.

Just for future reference, this specific question should be posted in the About XDA forum, since the topic mentioned is, well, about XDA. (See what I did there? :laugh
First of all sorry if this isn't the right place to post.
This is the first app I have made on android, and I was hoping for some feedback, I am not entirely sure if this is the right place to post it but it costs to upload it to Google Play, so I can't do that for a while.
This has a character called Lord Shaxx from Bungie's Destiny, yelling "THIS IS AMAZING" whenever you press the icon in the middle of the app. I am planning on adding a list of different lines that you can change it to, but I have not quite figured it out yet.
I just noticed I am unable to post outside links.. so I am not sure how to let people test it but if you PM me I will send you the link.
No download link, thread closed.
@WastedHyena
In order to gain permission to post links you need to reach a post count of 10 by contributing productively to the forums. Once you've reached 10 posts please contact me via PM and I'll open this thread again so you can add the link.
