Hi,
I'm looking for a Windows Phone to regularly watch my stocks (shares). I had shortlisted down to Touch2. But It is missing the Stocks tab (as far as I had seen in the youtube videos). Is there any possibility of getting a ROm with stocks tab? Or is there any other applications like yahoo finance that i can install on my touch2?
Hoping for a good solution
Stock App
I find the MSN Money app works fine. Just the basics, but really all I need on the phone.
What about this application? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=476613
Have fun.
meluvstrings, the MSN money doesn't support NSE and BSE quotes (Indian Stock Exchange).
frank, I've checked easyshares. I think its pretty good. Thanks for the help. But i', not sure whether it'll support NSE and BSE (indian stock exchange).
The touchFLO 3d / manila / sense of HD2 has stocks tab by default. INot only HD2 but also few other HTC mobiles, is it possible to install a ROM with stocks tab to touch2???
Hmm, perhaps you can use the operator tab for that. It's empty in any case as far as I know. Do you have manila 2D customizer installed? With this you can make visible the tab and install a shortcut.
Another option may be status ticker. Program I use myself to put ao. text on today screen of phone.

Not sure if it support stocks for Indian market (Sensex?). It's a very nice app.
MSN Money
Sorry, I did not know that. I only use it for for NYSE and Nasdaq.
thanks a lot frank. I'll check out both manilla 2d customizer and ticker app.
I actually didn't understand exactly what you said.
See if i've understood correctly: i have to install M2DC, unhide operator tab, add easyshares as shortcut to that operator tab.
Then I'll be getting easyshares in the tab itself. Right?
BTW, I have found this app. I'll check it out too

Hi,
someone can hel me to see the active tasks in TODAY of TouchFLO?
Now I can see only Time, calendar and calls..
I try to set the tasks in START-SETTING-TODAY-ELEMENTS but nothing.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I have the same problem. But no solution
Tasks Touch LO
A simply way to it's to sobstitute calendar with tasks activity.
But how?
I try to use advance config tools secion TouchFLO 3D but no sets are here for my problem.
????
No other Today plugins/items can be used if TF3D is activated.
Until someone works out how to add task to TF3D itself (I assume by editing the XML bits of manilla) you will not be able to do this.
What would be really useful is if someone figured out how to add a Tasks tab to TF3D and also a Calendar tab too (I know there is one but I don't think it shows highlights on days with appointments etc).
People are working on these things so I tihnk there will be a solution down the road.
TF3D
So to solve the only way is to disable TF3D.
No solucion installing SPB Mobile shell o similar becouse with TF3D active it's impossible to add Tasks in Today Screen too.
Many thinks to solve
It's incredible you buy a terminal It's cost 800€, and you have to put a cab to fix double contact SIM and Cellular, You can't display the active tasks..., ....!!
But the ingeneers are tested this, or the most important think is to have a good weather tasks?
Bho!?
I have been searching for a Touchflo Tasks tab also with no luck. My best solution thus far as been to remap my PTT button to my tasks. This definitely isn't too bad to work with. I use NATFs ROM on my Fuze which already has remapping tools but you can use fuzemobility.com and search for PTT remap if you need.
why dont you try that tf3d disabler that lets you switch between tf3d and standard today screen plugins? simple click of a soft key and your back and forth between the two.

That would be your best bet IMO.
install secondToday, map that app to the PTT button or some other hard key, and you can easily have an alternate today screen for expanded agenda and tasks. By installing SecondToday, you can have all of your plug-ins right at hand... and get to them from anywhere in the device.
It's the best of both worlds. Really.
Does anyone know if the newer versions of Touch Flo 3D will allow other Today plug-ins ? Such as Tasks, etc?
I just started using MTP (Manilla Today Page) and it's incredible.
Just what I needed to put SPB Diary as it's own tab in TF3D.
I couldn't use TF3D for months till i got this working, and i gotta say, it's gorgeous.
what is Manila Today Page?
Any update with the Tasks Tab?
Now with the new HTC HD2 - I think that TouchFlo is finally a decent replacement for SPB Mobile Shell.
However, I still miss the Tasks window to complete the tabs list...
I was just wondering how many people do not run the TF3D program on their TP or Fuze? And to those who do not run it what do your home screens look like? WHat programs do you customize your phone with? Just wondering cause I was going to get off the TF3D wagon for a while just for a change.
I use SPB shell and suite.
After a week with the Tilt, the excitement of TF3D wore off, so I finally removed it from the phone. I'm now running a VGA version of HTC Home, which I really like. Of course, nothing is perfect, and current problems are:
1. No customization program for VGA version of HTC Home
2. Contacts tab doesn't work (don't care about this, as I don't use that tab anyway)
3. Weather tab works, but available cities are limited
4. Program launcher tab only has room for 9 programs
Below the HTC Home section of my main screen, I also have my calendar, a Live Search plugin (for web searches right from the desktop), and a device locking button.
The only thing I miss from TF3D is the Intenet tab; I liked having the tab list my favorite pages.

Hi all,
i am using this freeware calender enhancement that i find VERY useful..
you can customize number of appt shown on today, the font size and header types.
Find it at my blog .. have a post on it there.
Let me know if you found it useful ok?
did anyone find it useful? will love to hear
I have looked at it, haven't installed it yet. Presently using TF3D on Touch HD. Really like the look of it and the way it puts almost the whole system on the today screen.
What I would really like is (now possible) an additional page on TF3D which can have normal today plugins and on that page SPB diary.
This calendar plus would quite easily replace SPB diary if it also supported tasks. That's my gripe with TF3D as well. Why only appointments... when tasks also need similar attention on today screen?
But still, looks very cool. Will try it once have more time on my hands
glad u found it ok
At present I'm using trhe newest Energy ROM. Nice work.
I just wondered if there was any ROMs made for easy of visual use.
I'm a but long in the eye now and find using the phone sometimes a strain on my eyes. Age and all that
The Energy ROM is very good but I probably only use about 1/20th of the apps and stuff it loads. Some of the ones it installs I don't even know what they do
I would love to see a ROM made for vision clarity, bigger fonts and more simple but just as useful front screens.
Is there any of the cooks that can advise me on this ?
Thanks
maybe it's not a rom, but a software that you need, like point ui : http://www.wm6software.net/utilities/pointui_1_5.html
not the lame 2.0 which tries to do exactly the same as touchflo, spb etc, but the 1.5, which was very very eye and finger friendly, especially on small screens like the one on touchpro, with big icons, big texts, big lists etc..
so can I get a ROM with none of this HTC touch slide screen and Sense, maybe just a really basic front end.
well I've installed that app, started it and all I get is a blue blob start up screen than nothing happens.
Rom
If you are looking for a simple rom with a good user interface I usually go back to the basic Euro Touch pro rom. I then add a few apps by cab that I need but I also add SPB Mobile shell to it. Retains all the hardware funtionality. I of course turn off TF3D.
SPB can replace your start menu and for bigger fonts go to start\settings\system\screen and enable cleartype and adjust your font size.
When I install this rom I usually install the following apps for basic and a little advanced user functionality:
SPB Mobile shell 3.5 (UI) -Worth the money-
Advanced config 3.3 (changing pagepools and storage locations)
Total Commander 2.5 (self-explanatory)
GPSTest 1.04 (for GPS locking)
SKtools (easy tweaking and cleaning-latest version-I bought it at pocketgear.com)
Bing (directions, searching, Navigating etc.)
Lumos (latest version for backlight control)
Touch Response (latest version-simulated haptive feedback)
Microsoft MyPhone (Secondary sync)
Of course it is all based on taste. Just thought I would stick that out there for ya.
Font size is at its largest, isn't enough
I have to say out of whats on the phone with this energy ROM i think I only use 3 things, and one is now missing in the new ROM.
Phone
Wi-Fi Router
Notes and Tasks.
Google Maps
Facebook
SMS
Freecell
Mostly hooked up to my PC with MyMobile so I can use my big screen. never browse now as the screen is to small.

Why don't you try my Titanium ROM then ? It's pretty basic, IMO
Trouble I have is reading through all the threads on a ROM, theres just to much old rubbish per thread. I can't filter out whos going on about which version and which ROM is which.
Pruning should be compulsory
They get all wrapped up in tech speak and CHt HTc DDL ROM RAM NND GGH OOH, which doesn't mean a thing to me, or probably a lot of people
Ill try yours out now
What else would I need. I want the Wi-Fi and a few tools but none of the
ArkSwitch ( no idea what it is)
Backup Fav ( never use Fav to start with)
CHT ( turned that off straight away)
Shake and whatever ( why)
World Card ( Useles)
XDA UC ( no idea)
BINg
well you get the picture
There was a good simple task manager in the last ROM but its missing now
And I liked the page with all short-cuts to you most used apps. It looked like the iPhone, very handy to use.
TAEL roms are pretty good
OK I'm lost wheres the Energy Titanium please

TAEL, is that a ROM type or the maker of the ROM ?
Thanks
Rom
Yes TAEL is the chef of the rom.
I am currently using captains manilla 2.1 rom. Pretty basic uses the old TF3D type interface. but still has newer features. The only thing missing would be the facebook app. but that can be installed via cab. Seems to be simple enough yet has plenty of tools to get the job done. It has the simple HTC task manager as well.
Does Pointui.Home.1.5a.Wm5. work on it
Ahh I see it says WM5 I wonder if that why it doesn't work on mine.
Trying the Cpts one, systems font seems smaller and I can't seem to find any O2 UK set up cab anywhere
Font size???
It does enlarge through screen settings but I can try and find a magnifier that could swipe across the screen. Of course most of the chefs have knowledge enough to make a "handicapped" rom as microsoft sells it in windows. (Magnifier , speech etc.)
What would be good is an App like the iPhone one that turns the phone into a magnifier. I could deff use that when I was out to read labels and small stuff.
Using
TAELROM_v4.23569_STANDARD_21MAY10
Cpts one I couldn't get the O2 settings for.
i have found something that might help you http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/System-Utilities/Enhancements/WinMobile-Magnifier-27412.shtml
Well I gone and brought an iPhone, please don't shout , Only way I can see if it is suitable for me is hands on.
Probably wrong place to ask but anyone recommend a decent iPhone forum ?
Thanks
Still got the HTC so all is not lost
Hi Sir,
Who can tell there are some App like HTC Footprints on Galaxy Tab?
Or can I install HTC's footprints.apk on Galaxy Tab P1000, how to install it on Galaxy Tab P1000?
TKS a lot!!!!
No.
You can't install it just like you can't install any other HTC Sense based app on a non Sense phone. AFAIK, there's nothing similar, except Foursquare and such
Sent from my GT-P1000
Short Answer: No
Long Answer: No, Footprints requires HTC Sense, which is only available on HTC devices. The Galaxy Tab does not have the required libraries.
Interesting that someone finally actually _wants_ this application though. If you use CameraZoom and enable the GPS storage option then it'll at least Geotag your pictures, your next best option is probably some sort of app that links with Flickr or Picasa, or even (spit!) FaceBook so you can comment on the pics. I know Picasa supports geotags, I assume Flickr does as well.
footprints
i understand your need..
i too love footprints, the early version was just great, you can export each footprint as a .kml or .kmz file which the opens on your home pc running google-earth, you can view all your footprints as postcards - brilliant and not many people even realise thats what footprints is for..
the new version is even better adding extra features - sound bites and other graphc enhancements, still exports to google earth for pc too, simply brilliant application..
oh yeahh and no it cant be put on the tab !!!...
