I finally received my 2000 mAh battery in the mail yesterday. Unfortunately it has the same problem as other batteries that are over the 1500 mAh mark and the case will not snap on all the way on the sides. I'll get some pics up here in a day or two so you guys can see whats happening.

My new 1500mah Ebay batteries showed up tonight from Hong Kong. They appear to be genuine HTC batteries (or they're good counterfeits), and fit with no issues of any kind. I'll have to get back to you on battery life. I'll give them a couple days and see how they do compared to the stockers. For $9.99 apiece shipped, I can hardly complain at this point.

REVIEW:2x BATTERY+DESKTOP CHARGER FOR VERIZON HTC DROID ERIS 1500 mAh Battery

I received these batteries and charger a few days ago and I am very impressed. Obviously the life is not as long as the larger ones available but I have seen an improvement of 4-6 hours per battery. The really nice part is I can always have a battery charging in the dock. I now have 3 batteries, one of which is always charging so I NEVER worry about battery life like I use to. Very good buy for the buck

i received my 1750 wednesday. i read on other forums that the battery door didnt fit on correctly on some phones because the battery is a little thicker. mine fits perfectly..no issues!! i had poor battery life until i downloaded handcent, keep wi fi ,bluetooth, and gps off unless i am using them.. i downloaded advanced task manager and have a widget on my home screen to (press to end) applications before i put my phone to sleep. these added to my battery life..now add the 1750 and i am now very satisfied with my battery life. my phone goes from when i wake up till i charge it at night with plenty of charge left !

REVIEW: Sedio 3500 mAh

Good Morning all wanted to give an update to this kick A$$ 3500 mAh battery. It arrived on thursday at about 11:12 to be exact. It had 70% life when i put it in, at around 3:00pm threw it on the charger and was completely charged by 5:00pm. So since 5:00 pm thursday untill now [Saturday] this battery has been off the charger. I have 3G, Wifi, GPS Location Setting, Screen Brightness, K-9 mail push and twitter runing plus all the other apps that keep going. Right now im at 22% im hoping to go a full 48 hrs before it goes back on the charger. Now i had to do a full wipe and restore because i was playing with something that i shouldnt have been and this battery went through that phase also.
The extended battery puts it at about the same size as a Moto Droid. The weight is nice to it IMO. The phone actually reminds me of the old XV6700 that i owned back in the day. I highly recommend this battery to anyone who wants to be able to go 2- 4 days without recharging. Could i get more days sure but that would require turning all the extras off like when i had the standard battery could go 7 - 10 days before needing recharged. Maybe i will test that and see how it works out.

I would love to see some before and after pics with the size and even the weight..
thanks for the heads up though this is a nice addition and Seido makes a quality product as I have used them for my g1 and for another phone.

There are a few pics on the Seidio website if you click the "More Photos" button that show the bigger back piece on the phone. I think the new look a little much myself but the guy on MDW was able to have his phone working for over 48 hours without charging while using the 3500 mAh battery.

anyone have a link to any auctions on ebay for these batteries ? I didn't really want to pay $70 for one .

I dunno but at these prices I kind of want to try out these 1500mah batteries. http://cgi.ebay.com/1500mAh-Li-ion-...Accessories?hash=item2a0503c9d0#ht_2263wt_939
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-1500MAH-REP...Accessories?hash=item439d8545ac#ht_1798wt_939

I wonder if this fits our phone?
http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Seidio-1750...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item35a75768c3

It fits the Hero with stock battery cover so it should be the same issue has the stock Hero battery, i.e. battery cover would not be fully closing.

I am seeing a lot of Sprint Hero owners purchasing this battery. They say if fits their stock battery cover fine, but they good extra battery life out of it. The sock hero battery barely fits our Eris with the battery cover so anyone want to try this and see what the result is? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230441767585

I was pretty glad to hear that after buying the battery.

I bought the 1750 mAh listed on there website for the droid eris and the door doesn't quite fit like it used to. It might just be this battery? Although I kind of doubt it, I sent them an email about it and am waiting for a reply now. The door fits but the left and right sides don't clamp down all the way making the volume buttons impossible to press unless pushing up an the back of the phone. Also the case I had around my phone will not fit any more.

Anyone ever try one of these batteries? They look pretty good and the small increase in battery life and low price seem worth it even if it is uses as a spare battery. NEW OEM ORIGINAL BATTERY FOR HTC IMAGIO XV6975 VERIZON - eBay (item 300401357838 end time Mar-01-10 13:48:47 PST)

Has anyone tried a 1750 or 2000 mAh battery that I've heard will fit the Eris? Or even just a 1500. I'd like to know if it will fit or. not before purchasing. Thanks

I've recently updated this thread with a link to the original Yoobao website. It is in Chinese but lucky for us Google has a translation feature that worked out very nice...so if you want to take a look at the Yoobao brand for yourself I've posted a link so you can take a look at all their products for cell phones.

I found this 2800 Mah hour battery with door for the Samsung Epic 4G on Ebay and I just finished posting the final review up on my youtube page. This is a nice medium from spending $50 on a 1600maH battery that isn't going to give you much improvement and spending $70 on a humungous 3500maH battery.
Here is the link to the youtube review I just recently uploaded if you wanna take a look at it for yourself in detail!

The name of the company is "Moretalktime" and you can look for him on EBAY to purchase this extended battery along with batteries he has out for various other phones for all your friends.
I'm in the middle of conditioning the battery and thus far it took me 13 hours to kill the battery from 100% out of the box with everything turned on and I even left the LED flash on for the last 3 or so hours to get it to die...after another cycle of coditioning (this bieng the 2nd..ish cycle) I took it off the charger with 100% battery Wednesday night of 11/24/10 at 8pm...and my phone just died earlier today on Friday afternoon of 11/26/10 at 1pm GIVING ME 41 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE WITH MEDIUM USAGE!!! on a 2800mAh battery...still not done calibrating...that's only the 2nd cycle...more to come....just wanted to give you guys an update!!!
Yes that's right people no BS I got a lidgit 60+ HOURS OF MEDIUM USAGE! on this Yoobao 2800mAh extended battery...check out my latest youtube video for details and the final review!

Let me know what you think, questions, comments, opinions about my results so far!?!?!?
Well this is very exciting news! Maybe now I will be able to get through the day without crippling my phone. Can't wait!
Link please?
Wow look at that whopper of a battery!
Makes the phone like a giant brick. I'm extremely wary of extended batteries from China, and would like to see the battery tested and what the actual mah level is.

The back cover has the same soft touch matte finish as the stock epic battery cover has.
Personally I don't mind the extra bulkiness, I just wished it was even like this:
Does anyone actually trust eBay batteries. I'm not so worried about the rating as I am about them exploding.

I didn't see this battery but I've bought batteries off Ebay for my old Samsung Moment and for my Epic both of which were the stock sizes and OEM...they both turned out great...is this battery off Ebay also?
$40?! Forget that! I just read his little speech on how those cheap $10 batteries are garbage, his are the best blah blah blah...the same story EVERYONE says about everyone elses products. I wrote enough people on eBay who bought the $10 battery from this guy http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310271079152&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT that eBay stopped me from writing anymore people for another 24hrs I got replies from at least 1/2 the people I wrote who've had them for about 3-4 months and everyone of them ranted, raved and said they were quite surprised at how much better their battery life is compared to stock considering what they spent. Just one example:
Dear sirtecknight,
I was curious to see how your 3000mah battery is holding up? I'm considering getting one of their 3000mah batteries for my Samsung Epic and wanted to make sure that it actually increased battery life for you after charging.
- m5james
I am pleasantly surprised with the performance and, to be honest, quality of the 3000Mah battery and cover that I bought from this vendor. The 3000MaH battery lasts almost exactly twice as long as my 1400Mah batteries do. Also the oversized battery cover was actually alot nicer than I was expecting.

The last time I was at the local Sprint store (replacement phone), two of the guys working there had EVO's and each had a seperate style of extended cover just like the two posted on this thread, and I prefer the version that is thicker from head-to-toe vs just a bump over the battery portion only. I've got an eBay battery in the mail and plan on grafting the i9000 bump onto my stock Epic cover and then wrapping the whole phone in 3M DiNOC carbon fiber.

I don't really get it you start off saying forget that the $10 knockoff batteries are cheap but then put a quote from a happily satisfied customer...??...and these batteries are 2800maH so idk which person your talking about but this is not the same company.
You're missing the whle context of my post. I said forget spending $40 on a battery and then stated I have proof otherwise about his statements, therefore disproving what the seller or the $40 claims in his entire ad in that the $10 batteries since they have in fact turned out to work quite well. When I say cheap about the $10 batteries, I was referencing price, not quality.

Ight comprende good point...they don't exactly seem that lidgidimate, but you just prooved me wrong I guess
I'm not trying to prove YOU wrong. My point is that the eBay seller with the $40 batteries is claiming that the $10 batteries are all garbage, which I've read otherwise. Today I charged my stock battery to 100% using the wall charger, reset my battery metering through Clockwork, run a bunch of streaming and video apps (Pandora, Slacker, TuneWiki, Skype, Fring and have a movie playing all at the same time) to kill the battery, turned the phone completely off & recharged and now I'm killing the battery again....timing the cycle each time. Once my 3000mah battery arrives, I will be doing the exact same thing so I can give myself a before and after.

[Review] 3500 mAh monster battery

Just received mine in the mail. Will be uploading pictures and a review here with some battery testing to follow in the next few days.
This is what I bought:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260697275156
These are selling for as low as 12 dollars shipped on ebay right now. INSANE deal at that price.

First impression:
The battery looks high quality from the outside. The new back that fits the monster battery is a soft touch plastic and fits amazingly well. It feels nice in the hand and actually fits in my holster. Its not as gigantic of an increase in size from stock, around 5mm.
The game gripper accessory works perfectly even with the new back installed.
Measurements:
3500 mAh
weight - 53.61 grams
thickness - 10mm
back cover weight - 13.55 grams
1500 mAh stock
weight - 32.23 grams
thickness - 5mm
back cover weight - 8.45 grams
TESTING:
Fully Charged at 5:42 EST 12/7/10
Phone turned itself off 2:51 EST 12/8/10
Plugged in 2:51 EST 12/8/10
Fully Charged 7:13 EST 12/8/10
Plugged in 12:37 EST 12/9/10
Fully Charged 6:30 EST 12/9/10
Average charging time using wall charger: 5 hours 10 minutes. (Subject to change due to low #'s of samples.)
Alright, I am going to test the Stock battery and compare it to the 3500 mAh by playing 720 Blu-Ray rips from 100% until the phone dies using RockPlayer and measuring the time. Brightness at full, Volume is max, Wifi on. This should be repeatable for various different users with various different batteries to give a benchmark for a batteries potential. The phone is running stock Froyo DK28, with no modifications to CPU speed. DRM services have been stopped.
Why am I testing the battery this way? Because it removes the most variables that I possibly can to convey to you the true potential of the battery. If I tested simply how long it took for the battery to die in my daily use, it brings texting, web use, game use, browsing, screen on time, wifi, 3g and everything else into the mix as variables, and my result will not mean anything to people who use their phone differently. This way, if you get X hours on the stock battery, you can do some simple math and roughly calculate without changing your behavior how long you will get on this battery.
Stock 1500 mAh:
Started 8:24 PM EST 12/8/10
Turned off 1:05 AM EST 12/9/10
Total time: 4 hours 41 minutes
Impressive to say the least.
3500 mAh:
Started 1:10 AM EST 12/9/10
Ended 10:28 AM EST 12/9/10
Total time: 9 hours 18 minutes
What does this all mean . . . .
So on the second total full charge of the battery, I am getting almost fully double the battery life of the stock battery. That is very impressive, especially considering this is only the second full charge the battery has undergone.
http://batteryboss.org/
You can see that OEM batteries typically have between 95-98% real world to rated mAh. So doing some quick math, as I did on page 2, this battery should have between 2829 - 2919 mAh in real world capacity. That places it at 80-83.5% of rated capacity, which is in line with the 3500 mAh Seido battery for the evo. That makes this battery an exceptional value.
Update:
This in no way gaurantees that you will see the same battery life and is a pretty useless figure all around because my usage and signal strength and everything else differs from all of you. But yes, the battery is capable of it. Over a hundred hours of battery life without using juicedefender.
I might try it, especially if it's only $18.
How much of an increase on battery life did you notice?

Just got it like an hour ago. Gonna take a few days at least before I can determine the battery life of it. Will be updating the original post as I go.
Plan to charge it to 100% early this evening. Calibrate it. Destroy it overnight with movies and whatever playing in a loop. Wake up and recharge it timing how long it takes to recharge.
Then the testing begins.
Very good. Keep it updated. I'll keep an eye on the eBay ad.

Sadly the Epic4g is the only video camera I own. I will be taking a bunch more photos as well as giving precise weights and measurements of the battery to come, once it dies after the first rundown tonight or tomorrow.
muyosa, i got the same. if you read the seido's version, it will tell you to leave it plugged in for another 2/3 hours for maximum performance. However, when the blue led comes on, i notice that my phone stops charging and the battery begins to drop.
To get around this, have it plugged in and in use either playing music, on the phone, or tethered. This will keep it charging when it's at 100%. You should calibrate it from there
I forgot to calibrate it but i charged it to 100%. So far, it's pretty good. It appears to be giving me at least double the amount of juice on stock froyo.
Does the back cover have a lump or is it strait so it makes the phone look even from the back? Any links to the seller and how long did the shipping take?
My sister also has an epic and is awaiting to see mine when it gets here.
I ordered the 2800 one from moretalktime last night cause of the review.
And the back cover has a lump ,which the low part of the cover fits flush with the camera.
Never mind it has a lump on it...do you guys think the back cover that is flush which makes the camera lens seem like if its in a hole ,would interfere with the lighting and shadowing of the camera lens ?
I ordered it on November 25th. It arrived today. If it had a flat back, then there would be a large empty space in the back of the phone. Also, the camera would be affected if the case was bulgy all the way. Even the Seido case reduces all around the camera to the stock thickness.
I'm looking forward to seeing the #'s you get and try to find a camera from onna ya boys to do a youtube reveiw at some point...you see the #'s I got with my Yoobao 2800mAh.
Thanks for taking your time and posting.
What kind of thickness are you from the back?
Are all the ebay back's out currently the same? (besides Sedio)

Not a prollem...and I know this is official stuff but am I the only one who'd like to see a (no homo) after u say somethin like "what kind of thickness are you from the back" lol...
But anyway...the stock cover is 1.5cm from back to front and the extended back is precisely 2.0cm adding .5cm total....doesn't inconvenience functionality one bit and actually is a nice grip to hold onto while holding the phone portrait ways upright.

Updated the original post with some initial testing. Battery is looking pretty damn strong so far.
To clarify, the math I did to obtain the true mAh of the 3500mAh battery is as follows.
Assuming the stock battery is truly 1500mAh and it ran for 281 minutes:
1500/281=5.33807 -> mA per minute used while playing HD video
The 3500 mAh battery played HD video for 558 minutes, thus:
5.33807*558=2978 -> Crude estimate of true battery capacity
I adjusted the rating of the stock battery to 95-98% of 1500 to make the estimates a bit more accurate in the original post. This is only a representation of the method I used to obtain those numbers, which again are crude estimates.
If I have made some giant mistake, someone please correct me.
Edit: Updated original post with a link to more photos.
I ordered this battery last week and I can't wait to get it! Thanks for the update
I got the battery couple of days ago. Seems to be great so far and an awsome deal at $18.00. I might just get another one as backup.
Just bought one, 12 bucks with free shipping...can't beat that.

Yea, at that price I am tempted to just get another one. Don't know what I would use it for though, since this one lasts me all I need.

Only $12.20. lol
Thanks for the great review, The only thing I don't understand is the measurement. Is the phone size doubled?
3500 mAh
thickness - 10mm
1500 mAh stock
thickness - 5mm
Because reading the yaboo review he say's:
1.5cm back to front with stock battery cover.
2.0cm back to front with extended battery cover.
So this means that the yaboo cover is thinner than the 3500mh one's? I assumed that they were all the same size.
$12.00! hahhaha. Such a deal. ahhahaha. I just ordered this one too. Now I will have three hi capacity batteries for my Epic. SOmeone please stop me. hahahah.

Epic 4G Phone Battery Reviews

Hey everyone, I recently got a Western Mountain Radio Computerized Battery Analyzer so I plan to start reviewing batteries for our Epic (and whatever else I can find).
If you would like anything else reviewed you can PM me and we an talk about maybe sending yours or if you haven't ordered one, ordering it to my house and I'll review it and then send it to you. (Maybe we could work out some kind of collateral or insurance so you know I'm good for it)
Here's some of my selling accounts as testament that I'm not a scammer:

Thanks everyone, I look forward to helping our Epic community escape the false advertising that these battery manufacturers do, and get our best money's worth
I plan to follow in the footsteps/continue the work of this fellow:

Can you see how your results correlate with the estimated mAh values reported via the Battery Monitor Widget (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.bmw) that some have been using to test battery life?
I would be surprised if that app is accurate. Anecdotally, the mAh estimates feel inflated.

I have a feeling the values given from the app are completely inaccurate, considering I use it myself to get a feel of battery vs. battery (it is great for logging percentages with relation to time) but the capacity measuring sessions have shown me very different ratings for the same battery every time I have done a monitored charging session. I personally don't trust it but I'll be happy to include them as well if you'd all like.
2 Generic 3500mAh battery reviews coming soon! The results are surprising
I think that having a battery thread with testing etc. is a great idea. Many of us are using a combination of stock 1500 mah as well as 1800 mah Samsung batteries, but there are quality generics out there that may possibly match and/or exceed the performance of stock... it's a matter of finding those and testing them out.

Thanks,
I'm currently working on the Fat Generic 3500 batteries but soon I'll get up the 1500mAh and 1800mAh OEM batteries for your viewing pleasure (I have a feeling the 1500mAh won't do too hot since it's older than my phone as it's my dad's original battery and he bought the Epic 4G when it first came out)
I'll include purchase dates of all the batteries if I can dig them up, so far the one Generic I have is rather disappointing but the other is quite impressive. I've yet to test the third as it's my daily driver but I'll see how it compares. I always knew the one wasn't at it's peak anymore and I'm guessing it's probably the first fat battery I bought when I got my Epic.
Naturally if anyone wants to send me their 1500mAh or 1800mAh (or any other battery they have) I'd be glad to add them to the the list for comparisons sake (and to get a better idea of general battery quality trends)

Also I'll soon be in possession of a Hyperion 3500 donated by Tomcat5 for testing.

Geez! No wonder it didn't feel like that much a boost. Others seem to have good luck though. Probably the build quality just varies.

I'm not sure, I shipped it out today so I havent tested it in the phone, just with my battery analyzer.
If you want I can run my tests on your Hyperion if you think you have a better one, the more pooled results the better the data!

After that test I contacted Hyperion and will be getting a replacement. 1745 mAh is really too low for a 3500 mAh extended. Ill break it in for a week and send it to you for a test if that's alright. To the other poster, my batter life was pitiful any way I looked at it. I don't know if I could get 5 hours screen on time.

That OEM 1800 mAh review really should be done with an almost virgin battery to see its original capacity. Maybe someone with a new one could send it in or someone who is going to get one could order it to you.

The 1800 mah batteries for the Epic Touch work great too. Samsung-branded OEM batteries have been much better than any of the 'compatible' batteries. Amazon has them for about $15

I just ordered 2x of these Anger 1800mAh batteries from Amazon. Have great reports/reviews on Amazon, will report here if they're any good or not.

Check out my battery reviews in my sig to get an idea, I believe that the fat 3500 batteries have value that CANNOT be beat! (as long as added girth isn't minded)
A solid slim battery would be the OEM 1800mAh battery from the Epic Touch (just MAKE SURE it's true OEM and not a knock off that just looks like it... there are certain tells such as listed model numbers and other markings)
I find my OEM Samsung 1800mah to be substantial. Lasts the day and that's all I need I suppose. I can't stand fat batteries.

Yeah the 1800mAh batt is my favorite slim batt for sure just wish they were as cheap as the fat batts so you can choose between thin or capacity. I don't believe they deserve to be more than $1 in difference for the price/ performance to be on par with da fatties

I bought what appear to be OEM samsung 1800 mAh batteries from Amazon and they weren't stellar performers. i think it might be possible that these are seconds or b-stock or something. I had the stock 1400 that came with my phone in rotation and I just didn't see a big difference with the 1800.
However, I just bought Anker 1800s and those things have impressed me. 2 batteries and an outboard charger for $20 is a helluva deal, too. I am gun shy about buying the ones that are marked "samsung" now due to the negative experience I had. Your mileage may vary.

You may have bought a counterfeit in OEM's clothing. Can you get some pictures up of your "OEM" samsung 1800 batts??
I hear good things about Anker batteries but haven't had the pleasure of using them nor testing them. Would you want me to analyze yours?
I just bought this battery a week ago and feel as though it may be a knock off. It only gets about 8 hours of life before dying. How can you tell if it's a fake?
I guess I could have resized...oops sorry!

Hmm...that does appear to be genuine...
Maybe they sent you some used ones or possible "new" ones that have sit unused in the warehouse for too long. Would you like me to analyze them for ya?? (or any other batteries)
As you saw my dad hadn't had his for longer than 6 months and his 1800 battery dropped from 1800mAh to about 1500mAh average.
Have you fully discharged and charged them a couple times. They might need that.

I was expecting to see a MFG date on it like my two (3 year old) factory batteries I have. After a few days of using the 1800 I went back to them since they at least make it through the day. They've had a few charge cycles or more.
The first day or so was rough since the phone was reporting 15-20% power and then would just power off. I'd turn it back on and it'd say 5% or something. Admittedly when I put this new battery in I deleted the battery stats file so I attributed this initial behavior to that.
I was planning to return the battery if it's worth my time/money since I got it fairly cheap on ebay (doh!). I should have read these threads before shopping there for bargains.
How would you go about analyzing batteries? Need to send them to you?

Help me choose an extended battery for my Galaxy s5 please

I know posts have been made about this, but I just couldn't make heads or tails out of most of them. Ok so I don't care about things like wireless charging. Water- resistance retention would be considered a plus, but it is not mandatory. I'd like an extended battery which increases battery life of my s5, and if the battery is thick and requires a new case, that's OK, as long as the case is sturdy and preferably protects the phone.
Concerns are quality of battery and battery life, and price. I looked at some listings like ZeroLemon and Anker and they are way too expensive for me. I live in Malta (europe) and the price combined with the shipping cost was more than I am comfortable spending.
Any contributions are greatly appreciated, Thanks
The mpj extended power, same size battery...

MPJ is crap, honestly. There are hundreds of posts in this forum documenting it -- you simply can't stuff more energy into a battery that's the same size as the OEM one, and only charge a fraction of the OEM price.
The Anker 7500mAh is 27 quid on Amazon.co.uk, and that's probably the best you'll do in getting a legit extended battery -- everything else is "too good to be true."
In the States, I've used Hyperion and Aukey, and they're pretty good.
Good luck!

But the oem website says it's almost 5 stars!! /sarcasm
Its 20 bucks, hope it works out.
I have the 7500 Zerolemon in my s3, it's been there 2 years, still holds up all day. I'm upgrading to upgrade and to have a 'newer' spare aka the s3 will be my new spare. Not because the s3 is not any good, it's actually pretty good. It's downside is the lack of dev now, and products online. Anyway, zerolemon is awesome also.

I hope it does for your sake too, Clues. I too love ZeroLemon (I had a GS3 with one as well, the battery outlasted the phone!), but the OP said he'd checked the prices for ZeroLemon and Anker, and they were out of his range.
So, I Googled "websites to shop Malta," saw several references to UK Amazon, and took a look at the brands and prices -- the Anker 7800mAh (I mistakenly wrote 7500 earlier) is a lot less than the ZL offering, and the UK versions of the the same "no-name" batteries are about 2/3 the price compared to a top-2 offering (the Anker).
And with the no-names, you're basically paying for a short-term solution, as their battery life usually falls off a cliff after 6 months.
27 GBP = ~$40 USD, the same price this battery sells for in the States, and it comes with an 18-month warranty.
Simply put, I think that this is the best option for our Maltese OP.
I’ve got both of 4300mah &8200mah from them and don’t think mpj is crap. They work just fine. Regular one is basically on par with stock battery if not better. The one adding noticeable bulk held much longer when compared to the other or stock.

hey thanks all for your post, esp. you minister of etc for your thoroughness. The price of 27 GBP applies for UK residents, I have to pay extra for shipping, in total 33 GBP, but that's ok. When I made this post, I didn't have a job, now I do ^_^

Bought one awhile ago, didn't notice any difference over the stock Samsung battery.
I think you can't go wrong with zerolemon to be honest. Bought the S5 8500 mah extended the other day. Had 62% when I put it in my phone for the first time on Tuesday. Today Sunday it still at 8% (wondering if it will ever die) lol

Theres also a bunch of these on eBay :http://www.ebay.com/itm/4200mAh-Gold-Battery-for-Samsung-Galaxy-S5-i9600-G900V-G900A-900T/191656494905?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_trkparms=aid%3D777000%26algo%3DABA.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D35696%26meid%3D90f6e5dc9da9432cb5d949df4c707991%26pid%3D100009%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D261539639358
But will these provide any improvement over the OEM, be about the same, or would it make it worse than the OEM battery?

I have one of these batteries, its about 2/3 the capacity of the stock battery.
I bought it knowing it was not going to be as good as OEM. My wife also has an S5 and easy access to charging, so a lower capacity doesn't impact her. I just borrow her OEM battery when I need to carry a spare for travelling.
The MPJ seems to be working fine after 4mo.
I'd like to post some results, whats the best way to show battery health/history?
Honestly if you have multiple devices you might want to go with a power bank. They're less money, have bigger batteries, and work with multiple devices (you won't be looking for a new one when you get a new phone)
Good Galaxy S5 Extended Battery
I just upgraded my phone, but on my old S5 I used an extended battery from Gorilla Gadgets. I used to get around 30-40 hours of battery life with normal use.

bought a standard anker replacement and one day got over 5 sot and then the next for 2 lol!!!!! crazy difference.
Go with the Hyperion 5600 mah

I use my S5s for playing Ingress. So, long days walking around with the GPS.
I have found the S5's battery life to be pretty good.
I simply bought a couple of the Samsung spare battery kits with the charger.
Normally one battery lasts most of a day running Internet and GPS a lot.
Carrying one extra is usually enough for that last little bit of security.
post your sot stats and talk time?
