Reload Stock T-Mobile Rom - Dash 3G, Snap ROM Development

Can someone please help me to reload the stock T-Mobile Rom? I have an 3VO rom on my Dash 3G; however, I need to do a warranty exchange and must reload the factory ROM. For some reason, it appears as though HARDSPL is preventing me from loading the factory rom. Someone, anyone, please help. Thanks.

Reflash same rom

Hi
I have now got problems with the rom i am currently using it constantly throws errors saying unable to execute tmail.exe, or devicelock.exe. I have tried hard resetting but this has not helped.
Is it possible to reflash the same rom or does it have to go though another rom and then back to the one i want to use, if this is the case i may just flash it with another rom from here and see how that goes.
Any help will be appreciated.

Yes u can reflash with same rom, assuming it is a cooked rom on ur device and that you have already hardspl? if so, then go for it! Reflashes usually sort the problem. If not re-download it on your comp and re flash using that.
How about re-flashing original rom from Palm? i already hard spl my treo. It say device already have latest rom. Can't force to reinstall. Anyone can help?

First, are you doing a hard or soft reset? To do a hard reset go Start > Settings > All Settings > System > Memory or Clear Storage. If you do not have that option, pull out your battery, put it back in the phone and hold the volume down, send and end key at the same time, then restore to factory default.
If you are still getting this error take it back to sprint!
yes i've perform 2 times of hard reset. all by buttons combo (yes, no and power button). but it still happen each time i soft reset the phone. I might have a bad ROM inside. is flashing to newer ROM will give me a chance to fix this issue? thanks for the reply
Just reflash the stock 2.1 or 2.5 rom. My guess is that you have a bad flash. Also do a task 29 before installing the stock rom again.

just reflash to winmo 6.5 stock rom. and now all back to normal. thx a lot.
Btw, what is task 29? am sorry, i am a very noob
task 29 is the process that clears the storage of a phone, it happens before each ROM install. They have isolated the process and created an install for task 29, so it acts like something installs, but your phone memory is being cleared. After you run task 29, go into bootloader and load your favorite ROM (either through USB or SD card). The purpose is to have a fresh install each time.

here isthe details
mighty rom 6.5 with sense 2.5
with radio: 1.96.0 ESN
can i pm you with what i was up to
Are you on Sprint or Verizon..?? You should try to hard reset and see if that works first, if not, flash back to stock, hard reset, than flash MightyROM and hard reset again... Seems like a pain in the ass but sometimes that's just what it takes... Some might say use Task29 but I've not used it so I can't recommend it, only can offer what I've done to fix problems and have always been successful with doing so..
u could even try to flash energy roms
i am trying task 29
by the way this is a telus device
it still does not work
please help
try stock rom or enery roms

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S HardReset

Hi,
I upgraded my Samsung I9000, from Éclair 2.1 to Froyo 2.2, with Odin, (everything is working fine), but...
My question is;
If I do a Hardware Reset does the phone downgrades to is factory default, in this case "Éclair 2.1", or it stays with the last OS installed?
Does anyone knows what happens??
Cheers,
Striken
A hard reset is different than a master reset. Hard reset only entails removing the battery from the device.
To answer your question, once flashed with a ROM, performing a MASTER reset, will bring the phone back to "factory" defaults, i.e. just like it was the very first time you booted it AFTER installing the custom ROM.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Man,
You are talking in a Master Reset, how exactly do you do that?
When I did a software reset it erases everything on the phone, contacts, apps I installed, everything except what belongs to the Rom I installed. Also the phone stayed like when was installed for the first time...
From what I've read an Hard reset puts the phone to is factory defaults, but when I did a soft reset it also stayed "brand new", like factory default.
My question is: does a hard reset erases the rom I installed and puts my phone like it was before I upgraded with Froyo 2.2?
I never heard anything regarding a "Master Reset", can you explain me more?
Thanks,
Striken
Also interested in learning how to Master Reset before playing with ROMs.
Bookmarked for later, thanks!
Hi Kops,
If you also learn anything about it please post it here ok?
Thanks
I believe you can find the stock firmware for your phone (2.1 or 2.2) and use ODIN to flash to that. By doing so, you will revert to 100% stock settings, no root, and no proof that you've flashed your phone at all.
In my opinion, this is your best bet for a "full reset".
When you flash a new firmware, the firmware is permanently installed. Performing a factory reset will NOT revert your phone to its older version. Only a reflash will do this.
Factory reset only resets things that are stored in user data space. Such as your contacts, custom settings and any apps that you have installed (not counting those that Samsung/Google have put into the system)
So there you have it. You can safely perform that reset if you want.

Thanks for the help guys,
So, there's no difference between a soft and hard reset? Or is the factory reset an hard reset?
When I did a factory reset it erases everything and restored the phone to is default settings.
So, the only way to put the phone back like it was when I purchased is installing Eclair 2.1 again...
Thanks,
The only way to get 2.1 back is by reinstalling an official samsung firmware. Yes. If you have an official samsung firmware though, the phone is as it should be.
A soft boot is generally where you send the device a reboot command or turn it off and back on. A hard boot to reiterate generally happens after the battery is removed and reinstalled. This is not what is known as a factory reset and will not modify anything.
A factory reset formats the userdata and cache partitions and resets all settings to default including deleting any apps that were not installed on the factory firmware.
I hope this has answered your question.

It did, thanks.
The only problem is that I never found an official Samsung firmware, in this case the Eclair 2.1 from Vodafone.
If you know any site that have that Rom please share it
I would like to have it so I can restore the phone in an urgency...
Cheers,
Try samfirmwares.com

Already try that. They don't have it.
Or www.samsungfirmwares.com. they have an extensive collection of i9000 roms. Vodaphone is on the 3rd I9000 page.

Thanks man,
Don't want to be a pain, but just one more thing if you or anybody knows...
When I both my phone it came with Eclair 2.1 from Vodafone like I said.
You presented me with a page that have the 2.1 stock Rom from Vodafone, but, originally the phone had a Vodafone startup animated logo.
Do you know if the rom in that page has that animation startup?
Thanks,
P.S. One more thing, when I said that I didn't find anything in that site I was mistaken, it was not that website but samfirmware.com website.
Thanks again,
Its a stock rom. Just like the one that shipped inside your phone. It will have all of the features of the ROM you started out with.

You can remove all user data that is located on internal memory by typing *2767*3855# in dial pad and NO it won't downgrade to previous firmware.

[Q] deleted phone app, havent made any backup

hello guys, so i bring this verizon phone to Indonesia and use local operator with help of some apps, i'm rooted and using 4.0.4,
lately i got this problem says "com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" when trying to call, but i still can text and received calls well, i do all the tricks about deleting sync, etc, nothing worked, the only thing that could help is factory reset, so i reset it. After a few days the problem show up again. Instead of posting question in this forum i accidently deleted the phone file from titanium back up, now even after factory reset i can make any call and the problem seems spread.
i havent made any recovery, so i pretty doomed, i havent touch android since milestone 1, i really need your help for this,
1st, how to bring back my phone with all apps and component 100% work
2nd, i still cant found answer for "com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly"
and i tied to application like "phone info" so the phone will work with local operator, and i read in this forum the apps wont work in jb, so maybe i avoid for using jb for now,
thank you,
With no back up you can't bring it all back.just the apps in Google, if you've backed up your contacts to Google then that can be saved, but if you did no nandroid backup then not much To do, if factory reset didn't help maybe bad hardware.
stripped apart rebuilt with Clean Rom&XdaTechnology!!!
Flash the stock image with odin then reroot. Section 5 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762709
