Hi all,
My Radio ROM is DEAD ( No GSM at startup but normal and ext roms are working).
I've got a i-mate Jam with original ITA ROM, when I tried to update with a new ORIGINAL i-mate one it messed up and now radio doesn't work.
Have you got any solution?
Could someone please post an extracted radio rom ? Please

i have same problem
Try to update the radio to 1.13 , and then use 2.03 tx or 1.13 Roms. Links are on this foruns just search. If that on radio dont work, try to update to a older one.

just bought my kaiser, i was previously using blueangel so i have some idea about how to upgrade.
since i'm new to this section and been trying to access wiki but i can't, just need someone to point me to the latest or "best radio rom" so far, a link would be much appreciated.
here's my ROM info.

if your going with the newest 209 or 213 rom you need a 1.65 radio but not the 1.65.17 RADIO

what if i decide to stick to my official ROM and only upgrade radio
is that possible? as i hate to loose the apps installed on it.

There are a couple of stock radios to be found on the forum. mostly 1.27.x.x
be sure to read about HardSPL.
the thing to keep in mind about radios is that wm6 radios work w/ wm6 only and wm6.1 radios work w/wm6.1 only. if u want to keep ur stock rom (wm6) than any wm6 radio will be fine. like abov poster said make sure u get hardspl first be4 u do any flashing also be careful as there are some radios that lock u meaning once u flash it u can't change it ...
unless u r security unlocked.
being new to kaiser i would highly recommend a complete read of kaiser wiki.

rom vers: 2.9.7.24 wwe
rom date: 2/9/06
radio vers: 02.07.20
protocol vers: 413.1.03
extrom: 2.9.7.9405
softreset is automatically.
no need of HARDRESET.
But if you want, it is better.

no you will not, this just upgrades the radio rom, not the 'full rom' as it were

What's the purpose of upgrading the radio rom? Will it give my prophet 3G network compatibility or something? Do you mind writing just 1 line of the benefiits of upgrading for each of your ROMS? I find you have contributed a lot but I just dont understand it. I've read the wiki too. I'm still using default ROM 2.15 with WM5

Flashing a Radio ROM will upgrade the software used for call handling, bluetooth and WiFi. It will not give you any functionality like 3G, but may increase Reception, and reliability of other Radios. It may also alter battery life.
If it's working fine at the moment, there is no real need to upgrade.
I'm download this Radio Rom and hoping it'll cure my problem.
How do I flash this Radio ROM? Do I use the Wizard Service Tool V4? A amature question so please bare. Unless it has its own execution then disregard my question
I enter the phone into Bootloader and ran Radio ROM 2.19.21 which is what I had original and program indicate "Error [300]: Invalid Update Tool. This update utility cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please get a newer Update Utility."
So I tried other version and getting the same message. I'm very confused, plz help.

I simple use the Prophet Tools Light and it worked! everything back to normal!

Guys.. I understand that what the radio rom is for... Wifi, GSM, Bluetooth etc.. and that 2.19.21 is THE recommended 1.. but.. can someone please explain why? whats the difference between 2.19.21 and the latest 2.69.21 etc? If someone can post a brief guide on the pro's and con's of each radio rom then that would be great! Im particularly interested in a rom that gives the best wifi distance if anyone can recommend one? Also.. If I upgrade the radio rom will that affect my ability to access certain networks in in different countries? Im in South Africa would like to continue being able to use it in South Africa.. but would like longer wifi range if possible.. Thanx

I recommend it, because last time I test it. This RADIO ROM is more stabil and has aa good battery usage.
But If you think that 2.69.21 is suitable for you. You can use it too.

Thnx Varanusvincent.. so i take it that upgrading the radio rom wont have an effect on which countries I can use the phone in? See the last time I tried to flash a fone it ended up only being able to work in Canada! Oopz Dnt Ask! Hehe
Anyway, it just seems to me that the reason people create upgrades is to increase stability rather than decrease it and maybe provide new features.. I doubt that radio roms will provide new features.. but I am hoping for longer wifi range no matter what the battery drain may be.. so think i'll just take a chance this weekend and play around with the radio roms and see what happens then.. I am seeking some advise from the learned....
I had recently flashed my VOX to Dr. Gonzo's W6.1 ROM .. just browsing thru' the threads in the Forum......I found out that my Radio Version is 4.1.13.37_02.83.90... and I found out many Later or newer versions of Radios being discussed here.....Does it make a difference that my Radio version is perhaps old but the ROM is WM6.1 ???
Will changing the Radio Version improve my device's performance ??
Also I was thinking to upgrading to the MonaLisa ROM ...will that Upgrade the Radio Version also ???
If not then how can I upgrade the Radio version of my device ???
Will it be beneficial with the Latest WM6.1 ROM's ??

you only need to upgrade radio if youve problems with battery drains to fast signals too weak and liek taht
you flash like the roms M)
I'm running fasttest v3.03 and i want to upgrade to 2.1 build but everytime i do its so slow and lags. I would like to know what the newest radio and spl are and was wondering if i upgrade to a new radio and spl will this help the performance. Right now i have hard spl and 2.2219.26i. Those aren't even the newest.. but if you tried to do some reading instead, you would understand that radio and spl have nothing to do with the performance of 2.1 roms. So don't bother changing it. It's missing drivers
