my rom version is 1.0.9.27 WWE
rom Date 11/14/20
Radio ver 01.14.20
protocol ver 4.0.13.25
ExtROM ver 1.0.9.115
this rom is very slow
and alot of peoblems that makes me restart my JAMin
4-5 times per day
so I need help
cause I want to install a new ROM in my device
can anyone tell what is the best rom for my JAMin

it's WM5, and advice don't waste your time with WM6 rom, still have bugs

Newbie question. I have just bought a v1415, I haven't received it yet but I am doing my research I want to know if it is possible to update to the ARA rom so my radio is latest and then following this upgrade to the Dr Gonzo New_Guava rom. Will this work, am I likely to see any problems upgrading radio with ARA rom from the v1415?

As far as I know, there is no ROM with radio out! Could you look what radio version you have (once you have it)?! I don't think you will need a new radio, because the one I have (original htc) works very good! And you should be able to install Gonzo's ROM after USPL!
Since i have issues with 1.65.xx.xx radios could they be ported to wm6.0 like making a cab or something or if a cook could cook a rom that works with older 6.1 radios for one guy xD.
First, No you can't use a cab file to install a Radio Rom.
Second, there are many WM6.1 Roms that work with the older WM6.1 Radios (for example any that aren't based on the at&t 3.5x Roms).
Third, many members have reported success using Niki Radios, have you tried one of them?

In theory, yes as any video performance update shoudl consist of updated files & registry settings.
Honestly though, there has been very little work done in supporting WM6.0 Roms since the newer WM6.1 Base (at&t 3.5x / HTC 3.2x).

I was just thinking if it could be done for 6.0 then hopefully it can be done for 6.1 and as I'm the only one with the problem i said six to try and attract other people who might actually prefare 6.0 for some odd reason as its more likely to be done with more than one person wanting it

radio vers: 02.07.20
protocol vers: 413.1.03
extrom: 2.9.7.9405
softreset is automatically.
no need of HARDRESET.
But if you want, it is better.

no you will not, this just upgrades the radio rom, not the 'full rom' as it were

What's the purpose of upgrading the radio rom? Will it give my prophet 3G network compatibility or something? Do you mind writing just 1 line of the benefiits of upgrading for each of your ROMS? I find you have contributed a lot but I just dont understand it. I've read the wiki too. I'm still using default ROM 2.15 with WM5

Flashing a Radio ROM will upgrade the software used for call handling, bluetooth and WiFi. It will not give you any functionality like 3G, but may increase Reception, and reliability of other Radios. It may also alter battery life.
If it's working fine at the moment, there is no real need to upgrade.
I'm download this Radio Rom and hoping it'll cure my problem.
How do I flash this Radio ROM? Do I use the Wizard Service Tool V4? A amature question so please bare. Unless it has its own execution then disregard my question
I enter the phone into Bootloader and ran Radio ROM 2.19.21 which is what I had original and program indicate "Error [300]: Invalid Update Tool. This update utility cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please get a newer Update Utility."
So I tried other version and getting the same message. I'm very confused, plz help.

I simple use the Prophet Tools Light and it worked! everything back to normal!

Guys.. I understand that what the radio rom is for... Wifi, GSM, Bluetooth etc.. and that 2.19.21 is THE recommended 1.. but.. can someone please explain why? whats the difference between 2.19.21 and the latest 2.69.21 etc? If someone can post a brief guide on the pro's and con's of each radio rom then that would be great! Im particularly interested in a rom that gives the best wifi distance if anyone can recommend one? Also.. If I upgrade the radio rom will that affect my ability to access certain networks in in different countries? Im in South Africa would like to continue being able to use it in South Africa.. but would like longer wifi range if possible.. Thanx

I recommend it, because last time I test it. This RADIO ROM is more stabil and has aa good battery usage.
But If you think that 2.69.21 is suitable for you. You can use it too.

Thnx Varanusvincent.. so i take it that upgrading the radio rom wont have an effect on which countries I can use the phone in? See the last time I tried to flash a fone it ended up only being able to work in Canada! Oopz Dnt Ask! Hehe
Anyway, it just seems to me that the reason people create upgrades is to increase stability rather than decrease it and maybe provide new features.. I doubt that radio roms will provide new features.. but I am hoping for longer wifi range no matter what the battery drain may be.. so think i'll just take a chance this weekend and play around with the radio roms and see what happens then.. Actually I had some issues regarding the battery power consumption of my universal, after I had a lot of experiments and trying a bunch of ROMs .. it seems that the radio version that makes that issues with my battery, i tried (1.09 - 1.13 - 1.18) and it seems that the "1.09" is the most stable one.
I'm using WM6.1 with radio version 1.18 .. and have the original WM5 with 1.09 radio embedded .. but don't have a separate version of the radio 1.09
And I like my WM6.1 .. and don't like to downgrade to WM5
So .. can anyone help me providing that radio version, so i can downgrade only the radio version, and keeping the ROM version ?
