Even better: A directx-windows-game converter to windows mobile.
i'd also like to see an xbox->windows mobile and a ps3->windows mobile converter. and of course these converters should be able to compress the game dvds' data to less space, so i can get more ps3/xbox games on my storage card.
You too?
I've seen an awesome converter for converting handheld LCD-games like tamagotchi to convert them up to full-Hd for PC and PS3!
But it shall cost arround 2.000€...

As the Zune and the HD2 have similar capacitive screens surely we could expect games like this on the HD2 soon?

why? You gotta give a more voluminous answer than that..
Zune is not windows mobile, is an specific device like a videoconsole and HD2 is like a PC.
Also, Zune have the tegra processor that is far more powerfull than the snapdragon in graphics, more support and lower resolution.
And, the vast majority of the win mobile phones are not too much powerful, so nobody is gonna make games for a 5% of the market of Windows mobile. Instead of that, they will make games for Iphone, zune or similar.

does zune sells more than all the wm world?
its just that microsoft wm sucks without sense and htc and it is difficult to play on a resistive no-multitouch screen..and above all, wm device (eccept the new ones) are very poor as chipset and driver..
We'll be getting our games
No worries everyone. A fellow xda'er found this link, that I now send to you. Looks promising for zune-like wm games.

HI @ all...
my iphone is dead
now i have an HD2 yeha
The iphone was a good game Maschine - so i search 4 good games
First i search a game like PapiJump for the HD2 has anyone ideas???
THX for Answers... cu
If you still have some old PSX cd's, i would strongly suggest you get fpseCE (the upcomming 0.10 version) since that emulates psx, and with decent framerate too! (and well, with 0.10 you can use the HD2's multitouch and g-sensor, the currentlly available version 0.96 isnt very playable on a HD2)
Besides that, just look around a bit for windows mobile games, i can tell you that all 3d games i tried so far (maybe 8, not counting psx games in emu ofc) run great, so just look around a bit, nfsu and other common games all seem to work, though i would suggest you look for a trail of a game before you buy it, after all its a new device, lots of developers dont have (access to) it yet.
Im ashamed to say (since personally im not a apple fan, at all) that the iphone beats windows mobile out of the ballpark when it comes to the amount of available games and apps, given, windows mobile has been around alot longer, but apparently the iphone is **** easy to develop for.
The HD2 (and all other wm 6.5 devices) has a windows marketplace now, there you can easylly buy apps and games, but theres not alot to choose from atm, this will change in the future (when all windows mobile developers update their apps to 6.5)

Those games aren't free and they're not fantastic either.
Ferrari Evolution is too fast on the HD2, can hardly control it...graphics aren't WVGA either so it's not fantastic.
GH5 is OK but it's slow and jerky...At first i thought it was my phone but after watching videos of it on youtube, alomost every OS it was made for is jerky and hard to play...only the Android one was smooth....DATA is also a requirement to play it...i never played it again...it came with my HD2 also...but it's too horrible to play...
Thanks for the info peaceboy. Good to know.
tmobile hd2 is as smooth as silk

tmo hd2 with its supersized rom and expanded ram is the best phone out there. it kills all the iphones they cant even multitask.android runs programs without your permission so your phones ram is full after just an hour or so without you even using it and the android email sucks compared to windows mobile--android cant run but a few video formats--winmo can play anything.
guitar hero 5played smooth all the way on the hd2. my cliq(android) hangs up if you try to do anything. i hope motorola ends up upgrading it to android 2.1 so i can at least get turn by turn. motorola has really let people down.
hd2 is windows mobile at its best. you can make it just right for you.
I wouldnt post guitar hero here if it is the full game, that might cound as Warez
Games and Apps
You can get most of these and other games and apps here
Please send Ferrari GT evolution v2.4.0
More nice games please... Thank you.
still searching for the tetris game on the US HD2... or a link to the manufacturers site would be nice too
Recently I bought HD2. I have searched most of the top gaming sites and forums, but still not able to find games of a quality offered for iPhone. The hardware and graphic card quality of the phone is the best in its class but still games available in the market are way out dated .
If you people really have some thoughts, please share them.
Thanks,

FPsece0.10 working with CHT Editor ??
Hello!
I have read all the informations about FPsece. But it doesn't work on my HTC HD2. I install it like the support say it to me. When I start the Emu,I only see the "LOAD CD-Rom File" Screen(grey). And I see the games in .iso . If I select a game the only thing it happen is, a short time black sceen and then the screen turns back to Home screen. But the top of the Home screen(the bar which shows "Start", "Network", "Sound", "Accu") stays BLACK.
What's wrong??
This Emu works with .iso, .bin, correct?
Is CHT Editor a problem for working FPsece?
Data of my HTC HD2:

Manlia: 2.5.20121429
ROM : 1.72.207.0

Are you saying that God of War 3 is available on the iPhone, or are you now comparing the HD2 to a PS3?
Yes, PSX games are pretty old, but that has nothing to do with their quality and blatant superiority to anything the iPhone has to offer. The PSX was a dedicated games console, and is obviously therefore better than any phone on the market today, for games. Show me any fighting game on the iPhone that comes close to Tekken 3.

I have no idea why you would think that, since the CHTEditor has absolutely nothing to do with the emulator, but I will tell you now, 100% guaranteed, that your problem has nothing whatsoever to do with the CHTEditor.
I suspect your problem is that you've downloaded the game images, rather than ripped them yourself. If you have ripped them yourself, rip them again, but at the slowest speed available.

Im sorry but most of the games on the iPhone as far as i can see are a complete joke. Some are absolutely brilliant but very very few.
Take a look at Street Fighter 4 on iPhone as a perfect example... 1 button for punch, 1 button for kick and the other buttons do the special moves for you... talk about dumbing down your game for your target audience.
There is no mobile device in the world that has as many quality games available as the original Playstation One library. Yes they are old but that doesnt mean they arent better then anything that is new. Most of them in fact are MUCH better then the newest mobile games on any platform.
Sorry to be a little off-topic, but does anyone know how to run XTRACT off the momory card?

add starcraft to that and there you have it best thing ever!
I am not saying that God of War 3 is available on iPhone or trying to compare HD2 with PS3. My emphasis is on the latest technology. Have you ever tried to run Tekken 3 on PS3 (event though it is not compatible)? I hope, the answer is NO.
I have been using iPhone from last couple of months. As far as the gaming experience is concerned, undoubtedly it is much much better than HD2. Just have a look at Hero of Sparta or Blades Of Fury then you will realize how much outdated the games are for HD2 in the market.

Thanks. But I think it defaulted to internal memory installation (like most Gameloft titles)... however I will give it another go.

I have actually played Tekken 3 on a PS3. It is compatible, if you don't have one of the newer PS3s.
My point was that there are a slew of PS1 games that completely wipe the floor with any game currently available on the iPhone. All those games are playable on the HD2.
I have been using FPSEce for many months. As far as the gaming experience is concerned, undoubtedly it is much much better than the iPhone. Just have a look at Tekken 3, Driver, Wipeout or Final Fantasy then you will realize how basic the games for the iPhone are, in the market. After all, they're being blown away by games, some of which are over 12 years old.

lol... did you even read my previous post?
Hmmm.
OK, so there are no HD2 specific games, but surely had research been done regarding WinMo, that would have been realised before purchase? And disappointment adverted.
There are a few games using Open GLES, but what mobile game can even come close to playing Tekken or Metal Gear Solid (which are full console layer games) on your phone.
Anyway, I have downloaded BIN/CUE files from a particular online resouce , and apart from issues with playing background music and sound effects at the same time, all is great! I really cannot be bothered to purchase a PSX disc and rip them myself, so I will just continue to download them.
Is anyone able to explain why ripping a disc at a slower speed is better from the ROMs and FPSECE?
Thanks.

From my knowledge of ripping disks way back in the day when i first discovered fpsece (about ten years ago!)... its because you get less bit errors when ripping at a slower speed therefore the emulator wont throw a spaz when it finds something out of place.

Yes mate. And also bear in mind that the discs are lower quality than we're used to today, and many of them will be 10 years old now!

The games on my SD vary from 345MB to 714MB. If you want a lot of games, you'll want to get a bigger card.
there is no reason why this isn't ported yet to winmo... the htc hd2 could easily handle this game.. its just a little frustrating when i see other inferior phones able to play games that we're not.... i guess its just a minor rant...
can't wait for winmo 7... finally then we'll have THE BEST mobile games on a handheld mobile phone device... cause all of xbox live and all the arcade games will be behind it... our time is coming... soon...
You are right, I also think that it is the best game at the moment for mobile devices and I also cant wait to have and play it!
Are you still working an a solution to port it into Windows Mobile 6.5?
Windows Phone will show the world what it takes to be a portable gaming device. Please port it to HD2 before PSP2 comes out. Cause Im buying PSP2 the moment it hits the market.
