HElP on morphgear and FpseCE - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

First, i will have to say, i love these emulators. however, for some reason, i really can't get them to work properly, these emulators work just fine on my leo, is the virtual keypads on these emulators bug the hell out of me.
in morphgear, i got most of the virtual keypad buttons working...however, X,B doesn't really work, i am not sure if it is caused my multi-touching, Ie: pressing forward key and other action button at the same time.
in FpseCE, i just couldn't find any of the virtual keypad button anywhere on the screen, tried to reallocate them but it doesn't let me to.
would anyone please please help? coz these two emulators are just brilliant, and i really want to use them, however it just not possible when i can't find any keys when using them. many thanks.

fpsec you have to configure yourself (search fpsce how to videos)
the morphgear one you can download a skin and the pad shows up at the bottom of the screen.
hope this helps, sure someone will give a better answer soon tho lol

Go here for excellent working gamepad for morphgear:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=602276&highlight=morphgear+gamepad
Instructions are there too...
And for fpsece the forum at the fpsece site i find very helpful aswell as XDA. Fpsece can be tricky, but once the button overlays are set its a great emulator. I'd suggest donating for the supporter version if you haven't already. Searching YouTube for frenchaddicts help vids would be a good idea too.

thank you very much for your help~ i will try to figure it out via youtube....these emulators are great...just have to find a way to figure out how they work

X51v Games!

OK I would really appreciate it if somebody would be kind enough to help me out. I am a huge gamer (I already have Pocket Wolf, SOD, DoomGLES, Quake and all its expansions, Quake 3, and Pocket Duke3D) but I still need a little help finding more games I want.
Fist of all i found Pocket Duke3D but I honestly cant figure out the control scheme, I understand how you can change the Duke3D file in the txt editor and I even got it to go to landscape view but I keep hearing conflicting ideas on how to set up the buttons. I did a lot of research but there was no definite answers and most of the post were from like 3 years ago. Almost all the links the I can find that talks anything about it are dead, and I find it hard to believe that the version I have is the final version that anyone has worked on. I would love it if there was an accelerated version that I don't know about.
So then I was reading on a forum where somebody talked about Pocket Hexen and Heretic. These were both close to being my favorite games when I was little, but unfortunately every time I do a search for a download all i get is a dead link. Also the only screens that I have seen of these games has an on board keyboard. I doubt I could play those games with an on board keyboard that small. So I'm thinking there has to be an upgraded version of those games (hopefully accelerated) as well because those versions must of been completely unplayable.
So what I'm doing here people is imploring you to look into the depth of you heart and help out a man in desperate need of pocket entertainment. Please if you have any idea of where i might find any of these games, or others that I might not of heard of PLEASE post them on this thread. If you do i will forever be grateful!
Have you mistakenly bought Dell X51v? PSP should be the best option for you.. Lol..! Your post seems like you just have it for playing

I already have one of those too! LOL everything I own is geared toward gaming. I'm just a little bit obsessed, I bet you can imagine how much my wife loves that.
I also use it for school and work stuff too, but mostly gaming!
Ok so I finally found a pokect hexen I could download and it was an .exe file, which I thought was wierd becaus I figured I would have to add my .wad file to get it to work, but anyways whenever i run it its DOS based and it says
connecting to window CE... Sucess
Creating\Hexen
and then it just freezes. I tried to extract the .cad file from it but i guess this is one of thoes files you cant pick apart! Also I'm not having any luck with Wargus all the links seem to either be in Russian or they are dead. I dont think God wants me having anmyore ppc games!

1, you don't miss much with Pocket Hexen as it doesn't support the 2700G - that is, no hardware 3D acceleration, unlike in Quake Mobile, DoomGLES, Cuve3D etc.
2, do check out my gaming-related articles, I've reviewed ALL the 2700G-enabled games and emulators and most Pocket PC games / emulators. You'll find them VERY useful.

Yup, the PSP is decidedly better for gaming (much better controls, more games, much better screen, particularly in Landscape etc.). However, the PPC platform also has some VERY good games - for example, Orions.

Yeah but I've been gaming since back when all I had was a 286 with no sound card, and I knew I just had to buy a sound card so I could hear the "Awesome" sound in Wolf3D. So Im really loving all of these oldies but goodies because they dont offer anyhting like that on my PSP.
Also I've already looked at the accelerated game list that you have for X51v it was VERY helpful, I have most of them installed, I found them when i was reading up on DoomGLES back like 4 months ago, now im looking for the classics, IE Hexen, Heretic, i even read somwhere they were making a heretic 2 (that project has probably been abandoned too), but my problem is all the links are dead!! ARG!
if it's on the internet i can find it
http://www.mobile2day.de/partner/111/details.php?pid=3,921,966,967,6214
sure it's a german site but the links are not dead
links to hexen in the buttom too
but it does seem to suffer from the onscreen keyboard
ps. my duke3d setup works just fine with buttons and screen on himalaya
never liked Heretic and hexen much though well i loved Heretic mp but only because i could turn
my friend into a chicken and trample him and there would be feathers everywhere!
hexen dident seem to have that option and tried to be more rpg'ish in which it failed

Ok thanks to Rudegar I finally found both hexen and heretic and I was super excited but now that I install them neither one of the will work!! I KEEP GETTING THE STUPID ERROR MESSAGE W_InitFiles: no files found. From all the research I've done I think they are saying that there is a problem with the name of the wad files, BUT NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE NAME OF MY WAD FILES!! i downloaded the shareware version right form the same website, i even made sure the had the same names that were on the README files! I REALLY THINK GOD HATES ME! Can sombody PLEASE HELP ME!?!?!
Ok i got Pocket Hexen Working....HAHA AND HERETIC NOW TOO!! I had to tool around with it for a little bit but I figured it out! Is there anyways to put these games on landscape mode, and to get rid of the supid keyboard when you dont need it??
ALSO THANKS Rudegar SO MUCH FOR THE HELP!!
Found an awesome page, lots of games and everything is free! *** URL edited out by Menneisyys. Sorry guys, NO links to pirate boards! ****

The thread you linked had a lot of cracked / regged apps / games.
This is sort of off-topic, but I remember being excited by the vast difference between the PC Speaker and Sound Blaster 16 sound effects in Wolfenstein 3D. Ah, I remember when the question wasn't whether to use onboard audio or a good sound card, but rather whether to have a sound card or just use the PC speaker.
I miss playing Master of Orion.. I wonder if there is a good game like that for the X51v. MoO 3 was not very good, unfortunately, and I'm tired of playing MoO 2.

1. Yeah, Wolf3D, back in 1992, was REALLY cool on a stereo soundcard like the SB Pro because of the stereo digitized voice helping a lot finding out where are you shot at from.
2. Did you check out my MS-DOS Emulation Bible on whether MoO can be emulated under WinMo?

Wow people are still writing on my thread I thought this thing was dead, so what is this MS0-DOS Emulation Bible you speek of? Is there any way of playing the old DOS based Sierra games on my PDA like Kings Quest or Quest for Glory, I think I'd give on of my kindneys if thats what it would take to make that happen!
Also does anyone know any good tutorials on Wargus on you'r PPC, I've got the game to work, I learned how to save, I just can't figure out the stupid sound. and I can't find anything thats either not in Russian or like 3 years old.
This is awesome!
i got both to work, however when i tried to change the controls through the .cfg file the way i would with doom, it just messed up the controls even more, making left and right now strafe left and right. I'm not able to set any values like i was on doom. for example I tried to make Fire the windows key, but that didnt work.
Is there a source code avaible? I know some people who may be able to fix it up!

TouchPad in Raphael as Mouse-Control?

Hi everyone.
I have my new Touch Pro and i saw it have a "full" TouchPad under the Screen.
My question is, might it be possible to display a Mouse-courser and control it with this TouchPad?
I dont know if this is usefull.
Badly i never coded for Windows Mobile, so is someone thinking this would be a nice application and want to code something like this?
Maybe if i get this damn Microsoft Visual Express Edition running, i will try something myself.
//Edit: just like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpKQOP9LJRU
It's a good idea, the touchpad is even multi-touch capable...
hate it on i900...
could be more interesting on touch pro/diamond, since the surface is larger
Hi everyone Im using remote touch for this. take a look at that freeware on this site here. as it is a beta there is no further guide on how to use this tool. anyway figure it out for yourself. it works for me, not always but it does most of the time.
have fun
hm.
maybe you did not understand me or i dont know if remote touch can control a mouse on your PocketPC and not on your Desktop PC.
best look at the movie in my first post to get a impression how i was thinking for a use of this touchPad.
Yes, like Samsung-i900 (Omnia). It's possible?
i think it is possible (but i am really new in WinCE developing).
I have finaly succesfully installed an IDE on my Work-PC.
And i think i also found somethink to move the "mouse".
Now i only need to install the IDE on my Home PC, loading DLLs into the program and i need to look into the SDK for the TouchPad. (Badly i have read that it has only one event that reads the rotations? this would be bad.)
Of course it would be faster if someone that is a lot more experienced in WinCE developing would try it.
Hello, I was the first one to come up with this idea. Check it out here:

Is it possible to make the area around the Dpad as touch buttons (touching the up button = pressing the up button, etc)? Since the Dpad is hard to press, it makes some games kinda unplayable...

this has been bugging me for quite a while now

okay, so im new and i was just wondering
has anybody anywhere found a succesful gba emulator for samsung omnia?
the best one ive found so far is morphgear, but i dont really fancy paying for it, ive found quite a few free ones the best one i have is pocket GBA, which i highly reccomend to someone who has a phone with a touchscreen and wants a good emulator, the only problem is the omnia has one main button and allows me to only set one of the d-pad directions to my main button the 'A' 'B' 'L' + 'R' buttons can be touched but the d-pad has to be assigned to buttons
so does anybody know and emulator with an onscreen gamepad that is free
cheers.
on a miles completley different note; im on an acer laptop and often when i am writing it has a tendancy to skip back into the middle of my sentence, does anybody else have this problem?
Welcome to forums
As we dedicate only to HTC devices you won´t get too much attention.

Free GameBoy Emulator for HD2

i know this topic has been covered elsewhere, but searching does not bring up the results im looking for.
basically i want a free gameboy emulator for the HD2, that can open .gb roms and save games. ideally it needs to be useable in landscape mode with an on screen dpad. google seems to bring up very outdated software which relies on hardware buttons.
i have tried the following with little success:
morphgear: 5 min trial and no onscreen dpad
pocketGBA: does not read .gb files
GBAce: will not open the 'load rom' box
im running stock rom version 1.66.405.2(76641)WWE and radio: 2.06.51.07
Interesting, ik will follow this thread.
As far as I know, there is no free emulator for HD2. Morphgear is the only solution. But poorly, the sound of morphgear for some games is really bad.
Isn't there a good working GBA emulator for PSX? If so use it in FPSEce, works well for other nintendo consoles.
nahhh. morphgear running fine with me, i have activated it and using virtual dpad from dred.
i wouldnt mind buying morphgear, but from my quick 5 min trial, it seemed quite laggy and in landscape mode, the keypad dissapears behind the game window. if anyone has a solution to these problems then please share with me
gba emulator on morphgear
I was wondering how to get gba running on morphgear I just wanna try the trail too see if I wanna buy the full one...not sure how to store it either.plz help. thanks
morphgear works fine for me, get the specialized for hd2 version here
also, search for some skins which you like, the default one is buggy at times
Edit: i'm currently using this skin
pocketGBA ain't too bad either
Is the only way for it to go full screen is by activating it?!?

HTC Touch Pro2 (and others with no D-PAD)

I was wondering if there was a keyboard with just the D-PAD (lower row) This would be great for programs that use D-pad (or games) Sometimes I have to open keyboard to use a directional key, close it again so I can read the content on my screen, to have to reopen the keyboard to use the d-pad once again...
Why can't you just scroll with your finger? Also I know there are some programs that allow you to use the zoombar as a scrollbar instead, can't seem to find a link right now though.
Some programs require you use UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT and that's what I need it for. Scrolling with finger just won't do it on some programs.
You should be able to scroll left and right with touch no problem, not with the zoom bar though.
either way...if neither of those options work there is a discussion here with some links to different options for scrolling:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=446015
Once again, I Am Not Trying To Scroll....! I am trying to use UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT keys of D-PAD.

the thread title is "virtual d-pad", just because we are not using the same vernacular doesn't mean the information i'm giving isn't helpful. you can read it or you can be a stubborn fool and be in the same position you are right now. next time, do you own damn searches on google (site:forum.xda-developers.com ........) i'm done with you.
I would have told you if it did help, don't feel bad just because you didn't answer what I was looking for. If you know of any virtual d-pad with just the up/down/left/right then let me know. Thanks.

There are programs in there where you can use the g-sensor to act as a d-pad. They are in development to work with games (and it may already work with some).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=429569
in the description:
What is this ?
This is a little application that will simulate key presses (on the D-pad) or scroll while you tilt your device. It will soon be usable in many games (e.g. racing games where it isn't really great to use the D-Pad). It is actually usable with a lot of desktop-softwares, like Manila, etc...

IF you would have read that whole thread, you would have found a link to a discussion on extracting the toshiba virtual d-pad:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=533157&page=2
Although I'm not sure if it will work for the tp2, maybe we can get WM devs on it.
and lastly:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=658673
Now *THATS* interesting, the g-sensor one... Might be even bettern than what I was looking for. Thanks for the info.
