[REPACK] FastTest 2.7 with WG Kernels

Just like before, all credit goes to the devs: htcclay, bbuchacher, wesgarner, cyanogen, etc etc... All I've done is repack their excellent works.

This rom has been extremely stable for me. If something's not working for you, I'm sorry. I'm not a dev, and very likely will not be able to fix it.

Just curious... why would you take out the contacts app? don't you need that for the dialers and the contacts and what not?

Alright thanks

dude you removed TOO many good apps, especially the MoToWeather Widget, which is imnpossible to reinstall on any Donut based ROMs, the apk only works on 2.+ ROMs. And thats the absolute best looking weather widget!!
to be honest there is NO need to remove any of those apps, those apps DONT really hinder performace at all, some apps make or break a ROM, FastTest ROMs run SO damn fast as is, I dunno, I figure mpst people with stick with whats works

All you have to do is extract the apps from FastTest 2.7, and push them to /system/app . It's super simple. Hindrance or not,I personally don't use that weather widget, so I removed it. I don't like having apps I don't use installed on my device.

KoLo be warned there will be a 1.9.3 S-D & Clay has plans for a new version also.Just thought should give you a heads-up.

PS, unless everyone just really likes WG's kernel (I do!), bbuchacher is going to begin releasing Super D with both Ram Hack and No Ram Hack kernels.
Super D is an excellent rom, and it'll certainly have working compcache and swap control in spare parts (unlike my repacks). Apparently he's also working on squeezing out better battery life too!

Yes get FC when trying to open Wallpaper gallery - ok though when selecting Wallpaper from Pictures gallery.
Apart from that this is very nice ROM, plenty fast even without CC working. Wonder what this will be like once CC is working and minus the Ramhack?
Seems stable for me apart from the Wallpaper thing...

There is a no ram hack version... it's posted right at the top of the page.
Also, don't expect any developments on this rom. I'm not a dev. I made this repack since there wasn't a newer rom (other than cyanogen) that didn't have a no ram hack option. Just today, bbuchacher released Super D with a no ram hack version. That kernel for Super D should work on htcclay's FastTest roms too, since they share most of the same code base.
Super D having a no ram hack option now, there's really no point in me posting up repacks anymore... as long as bbuchacher's kernel keeps up with WG's.

[ROM] Vega Legend Port v0.9.1

I've been playing a lot with Kings Eris ROM and decided to look at the Legend ROM as well to see how it goes.
As you probably know it's one of the latest 2.1 Sense UI ROMs, most things are working now.
Issues:
Power off doesn't work - fixed
Dark video - fixed, thanks to Case_
It seems HTC thinks no one would have more than 100 Facebook contacts... a little annoying - found a fix that worked for me, sync the 100 contacts, remove the facebook acount, restart and add it again, all my contacts are showing now.
Probably other things I haven't found yet
Requires ext and a large (at least 128mb) swap partition

But, what is the difference between the Eris 2.1 ROM, and this Legend one? I cant imagine it would be much different.. is this faster? More features?
I'm willing to flash anything with my Nexus coming Tuesday..

There's not too much different, with them both being 2.1 Sense, this has a slightly nicer theme IMO. And some things work better - like being able to hide sim contacts. Speed I'm not sure about though, it's possible this will end up being slightly slower, in which case I'll investigate the possibility of taking bits of both (I'm not too hopeful that will work though).

I will give it a try on my G1 when you get the beta ready
the Phone lag (for incoming calls) change from MP3 to OGG may sort that out.

Vegaman, if this is NOT using BFS (I noticed it helped even when it did, but oh well), I have MikeTaylor's setpriority.sh script handy and the way to implement it written into my brain (Hero used to be my main rom for months).

Did it work well for you? Seems to be working well here but I want to make sure it keeps running properly.

Yes it works very well. If it's the first call after running the script (I had the a2sd script run it at boot, so for me it was every boot), it will take two or three rings, but after that it will be consistently 1 or 2 with screen on, vibrating, and sounds.

Ok, thanks. I'll carry on testing it and some other things and leave it running overnight to make sure it's stable and hopefully I'll have time to upload it in the morning, assuming it all runs OK.

I've been using it without A2SD, but I'm uploading it with the a2sd script and userscript.conf reverted to normal. This ROM is big, I end up with 4MB free on my 90MB system partition. I've also left all of the apps in it, but I run it with a bunch removed myself (like footprints, stocks...).

The first step would be a log of your error... as you have said yourself: we don't have the bug. So very sorry...

The browser is crashing everytime I try to access it. Any ideas?

So I got the browser working by re-flashing the ROM. But now the Messaging app does not work after restoring backed up SMS.

I'm, sorry bro, I have been one of those complainers, but I have been doin to every RE_themed ROM, except your ROM has some tweaks and edits done by you, other guys are just Theming someone elses ROM, and basically called something else. Again I gotta say it, a theme is a personal choice, you might like a theme but joe blow and 60 others might not like that same theme. Goes the same for all these themed launhers goin around, kept it simple and post link to the theme on the side

sorry about any issues everyone. let me clarify a few things while i answer some questions along the way. I tested both of these myself and spent all day getting my new mod to work with 27#1 and 27#2. between ALL the nightlys and the RC1 i have NEVER done a COMPLETE wipe. I got 4.2 and 4.3 to work with my 27#1 & 27#2. SInce all these issues that i cannot recreate, i will limit the use of 4.2 & 4.3 to everyone above release 27#2 to avoid further problems. i need more help testing to figure out what is going on for everyone else. i listed my procedure and thats how ive done it from the beginning and ive never had to wipe my data and have only had fc's with a program that i removed which did not come with cyanogenmod. so def. not cyans rom;my own fault. I will change the op to say 4.2 and 4.3 will only work on 27#2 until i can test further. i worked till 835pm thru 22 bootloops to finally figure out the issue and get them to boot on top of my 27#2 which i flashed ontop of 26 which i flashed ontop of 25,etc....flashing my mod inbetween every rom install to get all my addons back. I themed alot of framework, and still messing with phone(didnt take for some reason) I like this much better than the android green so it looks nice to me. i still kept it pretty minimal, but anyone whos paying attention will notice Hope someone likes it.........

hello, when i woke up this morning and saw the awesome news i couldnt help but do what i do. so i themed my favorite kb cyan to match the cyan rom. im still testing it. i put this together so that anyone who wanted to flash just one rom and get everything else they needed in one more flash(if they wanted the xtras) plus a few other utilities that we are used to(a little remnant from sense as well). this is the version with google craps built in. thats most of the addition. the rest are small other than the sweet new kb. man cyan looks sooo much better than green. iim still editing MY own setup now. I will update this accordingly. the pack will include the new cyan kb, and the googles. I take no credit for anything here other than theming the swype, adding a bunch of files to their corresponding folders,signing, flashing,testing, and then ul'ing. I forgot to mention, i added flash 10.1 blahblah(it works awesome) and wifitether works too(see screens below) i was going to theme the adw, but im still deciding. if i do it will be a white transparent rather than smoke. maybe later today EVERYONE thank CYANOGEN, this is awesome.....

I have to hex edit the value for the text. lemme find it and ill see what i can do. messing with taskers can sometimes be alot of editing when you have to make them all white all black or transparent takes the longest, just depends what color youre coming from. ill find that guide when i get a chance and ill post here or pm. you should give the white a chance, its very clean looking actually, not telling you what to do, just a suggestion that cant hurt.

I'm sure the white looks great. I'm just not a fan of it. When I had the Nexus One, I always changed it to black. Now, I keep my notification bar hidden since I don't really need it. I just prefer the black.
Don't worry about it if it will take too much time. It's not a big deal.

I used to think the same thing, but it seems that they're a bit more refined now and less clunky.

I'm too chicken sh_t to flash the rom tho with all the problems it has right now....but if I get brave and do it...I will definitely flash this theme.

All the people wanting a black notification... go to settings, cyanogen settings, and change the colors and reboot... that's it

I love this theme, stable and clean. Theme only problem I have is the font is hard to read. Any way to change it back to stock?

how did you push the fonts? i want a diferent kind of fonts and i have the files but i dont remember how

Dont be scared trust me. once you do youll kick yourself for not doing it sooner. i dont blame you for being cautious though( i value my evo greatly) ive been running it since i put this mod together, and man, team cyan are awesome. its so smooth running. if you have any issues i will gladly help you get rolling. only issues are the 4g and mms for me and i dont use either and i never have so i dont lose anything. i was happy with hero_overs pastry till this morning. NOW I HAVE BOTH CAMS AGAIN. JOY....

THis is a VERY common issue for me. Im going to start a thread for this. It will be a font thread. bring me fonts and ill turn them into update.zips. sounds good to me. if you want to do it yourself magicalan ill show you though, its very simple either way. o,btw i didnt flash them, everything is built in before i flash, thats why everything works

Great overall, Only thing bugging me is the font. Great work though!!

Magnus, I must say, this theme is actually pretty decent. I know I've ripped on you for your themes before, but you definitely toned this one down a lot and made it a lot nicer to look at, so congrats on the job well done. I do agree with a few of the other people in this thread though regarding the font...its not an easy font to read, especially not on a phone screen. I'm not sure how the whole font things work, but if you can push any font in, might I suggest Nobile regular. Its a nice, clean font created by Vernon Adams that I think would have fantastic readability on a mobile screen. It is licensed under the Open Font License, so it should be perfectly legal to use it in a free project like this. I've attached a zip of the font to this post.
edit: I just pushed Nobile to my phone via ADB and it looks really nice. I think you should consider it for your default font for the theme, or perhaps find a different clean font that fits your liking.

[ROM] Updated!! 10/07 echOS 2.0 with AOSP! (kinda)

Alright Im no longer AWOL and have an update for you!!
ok here is the updated echOS. im pushing 40 something hours of no sleep so I will give you a quick changelog now. Then tomorrow I will put out a more in depth one. First off all credit to Herver for his great rom. All info on the original rom and Herver is below.
I uploaded 0.9.5 beta. not real happy with it. And it has some issues so its here if you want it but it might not be stable. wireless tethering is still giving me issues and the hulu app is just false hopes but im to tired to mess with it anymore tonight. Also there is no lockscreen now....ill get it fixed tomorrow....What I have changed though:

Fix AVI playback issue
Changed Power Control to match the Vanilla theme
Updated Kernel ***I forgot to change the default cpu scaling. so at first it might run sluggish untill you change the scaling to something other than conservative.

I have it working on my phone but when I try to flash the rom it gives me some errors. BUT even with the errors it looks like it installs somewhat correctly. I will upload what I have as a beta if anyone REALLY wants to try it but it has its problems.

Uploading at the moment with AOSP Dialer, Contacts, Email, MMS, and Music. So far its been running very stable for me. A couple little things I need to fix but it doesnt effect performance at all.

This sounds awesome! All the benefits of Baked Snack (which I used to run and loved) without the cruft of Sense (which is the reason I dropped it for CM6).... Downloading now. I'll let you know how it goes.

This thing just loops through the android bootscreen endlessly. That's w/ wiping everything beforehand.

I would like to see the phone app in full aosp. Because I'm using a Rom that is working beautifully but just see that when I receive a call it shows the stock phone app and the scroll down answer bar. I want the aosp mode. I don't like to auto decline people when taking my phone out of the pocket . Thanks

I haven't had any issues so far, it's quite snappy. Everything seems to be working as it should. Works great with King's kernel #6 BFS as well.
